I liked staying here. The people working here was very nice and outgoing. Talkative. Helpful and just insightful. If you wanna go meet people from South America it’s the perfect place to go. They have a lot of suggestions and even if you don’t go on tours there are people there that are welcoming and wants to go out with you and experience both attractions and nightlife. 10/10 experience. If only you could stop other people from snoring but that’s an impossible wish. Thanks a lot of the hospitality. I’ll see you again. Mads 🇩🇰

Che Lagarto Hostel is few steps away from Ipanema and also Leblon beach. The hostel was super fun, clean, the staff was very friendly, kind and on top of duties. I had a great time relaxing by the beach, making friends, going on tours. The location is close to restaurants, bars, public transportation, beaches, etc. I just want to thank the staff for making my staying a memorable one.

The beds can be upgraded once in a while.

Lovely and very friendly staff! Free caipirinha every night for 30 minutes. There are a lot of parties that also the staff frequently go to. When I was there, there was an amazing halloween boat party. Great location in Ipanema, good breakfast, clean room. If anything, the common room is very small. This wouldn't matter since breakfast is often outside. But if it is rainy, it is a bit to small.

Excellent location and great value for money. Reception was amazing—friendly and always making sure we were ok. The atmosphere was really fun and welcoming. Location is amazing too

The rooms felt a bit cramped, though it might have just been my particular room. For a one-night stay, it was manageable.

Free caipirinhas everyday were an awesome way to get everyone in the hostel together! The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. Great location, close to other hostels.

Only 1 toilet for a 10 bed dorm is annoying in the morning and before going out. I prefer communal toilets and showers. Very small rooms. And it was very expensive for what you get. I understand it was carnival, but over $100 for one night in a 10 bed dorm is pretty rediculous.

Staff was super helpful and very kind. The location is nice and the beds are comfortable. Unfortunately there is no space to hang out, apart from the chairs and tables the serve as breakfast facilities.

Close to Ipanema Beach and metro station. The staff is so very friendly, even though I am way older than their 'average' clients, I really felt at home and welcome. Air-conditioning works too well !😃Supermarkets and restaurants close by, and the ' caipirinha happy half hour' makes this a great place to stay!!

Just a detail: a small shelf near the bed would be great. To put your glasses, bottle of water etc

Super friendly staff and its in a good location. 🤗 Clean, good breakfest. We had private room, there was balcony, so nice. Great to meet people from different cultures and the hotel organized various events, which was a very nice thing.

Perfect place for solo travellers! Nice environment, good people and very nice location. Every afternoon at 7 pm they do a gathering with free caipirinhas which is an amazing idea to meet people.

The bathroom should be outside the room with the beds so it is easier to access by the cleaning personnel and also it should be cleaned more often, cause a single bathroom is shared with up to 11 people.
