The location and price of the hotel are excellent. It's right in the middle of Copacabana and you have great access to the beach and the rest of the city from that spot (it's super easy to grab an Uber and get to other areas). The rooms are also modern, clean, and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was included in the price of the room I booked and the pastries/breads in particular were good.

They could not find my booking.com reservation when I arrived, which was somewhat concerning. They sorted it out and gave me an upgrade, but it probably took 40 minutes to get into the room. The eggs are breakfast were also kind of runny and not the best and there wasn't always a meat option (overall, though, I still think the breakfast was good).

Great location, great staff, great breakfast. WiFi worked well, shower had great water pressure and was hot. The hotel is decorated very cute and trendy. The on site restaurant had great food.

The balcony is a bit awkward with setup. Can’t enjoy a view from the room. The bathroom needs touch ups. The lighting was awful, only one side of the mirror lights up, making it difficult to do makeup. The makeup mirror was rusty and the light didn’t work. The towel rack was coming out of the wall. The door on the bathroom was very difficult to slide open and close.

My 6th time in Rio and my first time staying at the Mercure - and I will 100% be returning for my next visit in February!! The hotel is only a few years old which is very apparent in the sense that it’s very clean, fresh and modern. It has a fun “traveller” type vibe to it, yet it it still very well put together and well presented. The hotel is secure with security on call 24 hours, the reception / concierge staff are amazing (perfect English and incredibly welcoming and kind), the breakfast is great and I ate dinner twice there which I thoroughly enjoyed. I recommend the ceviche and caipirinhas!! The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable - good air con. The location is superb - directly opposite the copacabana beach (2 minute walk just across the road), and there are some beach beds allocated to hotel guests. There is also a fridge stocked with soft drinks and alcoholic beverages in the reception which is handy. Overall, brilliant value for money and a great energy radiates throughout this hotel! I was very impressed and couldn’t recommend it more for solo travelers (like me), couples, friends or families! Xxx

Good place to stay for a couple-day business trip! Special thanks to Victor - great host, helped us a lot to arrange massage and luggage, and Renata - great massage specialist that literally helped us to relax before a long road!! Love them!

Was required a physical card to pay for the hotel and it caused a lot of inconvenience because no one told me before. A lady at the reception told us we cannot use Apple Pay, but next day morning shift (Nicolle) easily accepted the Apple Pay payment and helped us out - so I advise you let all of your stuff know about this possibility.

The Mercure Rio Boutique Copacabana has an excellent location in the middle of the large Copacabana stretch. The rooms are small and the capacity of the lifts is too small for such a large number of rooms. The bed is comfortable, the shower has good water pressure and the staff are most pleasant and helpful everywhere from reception to the restaurant to the ladies cleaning the bedroom. Very helpful. Finally, breakfast was delicious and has various options.

Location is great, friendly staff, clean room Feels safe

Very small bed (we don't need a king size but when you're literally falling off from one - it is TOO small!) We could not connect to Wifi using instructions given on the website to log in. I am sure it would be easily sorted if we spoke to the reception but we did not have time for it as we were only staying for one night. When we needed internet access to check in etc, it was not there.

Location is perfect, right in the middle of Copacabana Beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful, thanks for Bruno personally for his effort to change our room 🙏 they serve a perfect breakfast, it was very rich . If I go to Rio again, I will definitely stay here again. In addition, in front of the hotel, there is a taksi stop, find Alex , he is a tour operator and speaks English very well, he is great . Thank you for the good memories you created in our minds 🙏❤️

We were given a room near the elevator and the noise was unacceptable. The concierge found a room that was much quieter for us and we were able to make the move that evening, even though it was quite late.

The custom of not flushing toilet paper was unfamiliar to us, and we did our best to comply. However, twice when we returned after the room was cleaned we found soiled tissue in the toilet that we had not put there. We were not advised that we were not following protocol so were confused about why this happened.

The vibrant colors of the hotel, rooms and hallways, made us feel like we were at Carnival! The bed was very comfortable. The balcony gave a side angle view of the beach. Could hear the ocean early in the morning. The restaurant was fantastic with excellent cocktails. Breakfast had a well rounded selection. Tasty!

The room was small, however we didn't stay in it long. Most of the time it was spent on the beach and enjoying the nightlife.

Great breakfasts! Staff was polite, helpful(;special thanks to the evening restaurant staff who helped us have a great dinner). Super location. Great value

The room keys were frustrating as they kept getting shorted out ( magnetic ?.) but that’s a small thing as the staff was very helpful and understanding
