The Location is absolutely perfect for tourists, it’s right on Atlantic Avenue of the Copacabana beach, with all the advantages being next to the iconic Copacabana. There are supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants around, it’s next corner to famous termas. Good security and experienced staff. Excursions were suggested. The hotel gives courtesy pen and paper, which looks very nice TV has news broadcast in English, Spanish, Portuguese. The hotel is somewhat above average. Wake up call were ok for 2 nights and missed on the third.

Even though the location is perfect, to bear in mind that it is some 10 km away from most important museums od historic centre of Rio de Janeiro, likewise it is some km away or from the Lapa entairtainment area. In my room I had a horrible yard view, instead of sea view which I hoped for. No courtesy water in the room. Wi fi was rather poor, I had to reconnect dozen times per day, it was almost impossible to finish a letter without reconnecting, let alone watch a movie online. Finally, the hotel did not make a wake up call on the third morning, as a result of which i missed the breakfast and was slightly late for the check out

After a disappointing experience with another accommodation, we were searching for a beachfront hotel and happened to walk into Olinda without a prior online booking. From the very first moment, Mr. Pitanga made us feel at home. He went above and beyond to assist us in every possible way. Thanks to his kindness and professionalism, we instantly felt a connection with the hotel. Our room was exactly as requested — clean, comfortable, and beautifully arranged. The entire hotel was spotless, and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. The rest of the hotel staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly. Even though English is not widely spoken in Brazil, the entire Olinda team made a real effort to communicate with us and ensure we had a pleasant stay. I highly recommend this hotel to any tourist visiting Rio. Its beachfront location is perfect for beach days, and there are plenty of local food spots and evening street stands with clothing and other local products right nearby. I strongly recommend that you try the hotel restaurant for lunch or dinner. Better quality and better prices than anywhere nearby. And they still make the best caparinhas, bar none!

It's sad that a hotel of this quality does not provide good quality coffee; after all, this is Brazil, one of the world's largest producers! I watched the staff refill one of those awful coffee machines with a mix of powdered coffee, powdered milk, and sickly sweetener from a commercial provider. If you want decent coffee, unfortunately you won't find it here.

It is an old property, but it is very well maintained, and they keep cleaning everything. Friendly personnel in the welcoming staff, the reception, bagging assistant, breakfast personnel, housekeeping, etc. Thank you to Manuel who gently assisted us on the baggage handling and took over them from the car until our rooms. All personnel was always smiling and ready to assist you in any situation. Breakfast had a variety of options for everyone, and they keep refilling every meal, so even though you go for breakfast at the end, you will always have all options of foods available. Properly is right in front of the beach, close to restaurants, pharmacies, and you have access to everything. Parking is the public parking in the street and you need to buy a ticket/pass for $2 reales/day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. No all rooms has a good vision to the beach. Some have a vision to the middle of the building and you will see A/C’s and windows of the other rooms.

The front desk staff was friendly, and the concierge was very helpful. The location was great, right in the middle of Copacabana Beach, with many kiosks on the beach front providing a variety of food and entertainment. The breakfast was plentiful with many choices in a nice bright room with a view on the beach. Brach towels are supplied, free of charge. Our room was good, didn't have a view of the beach. The shower was excellent in flow and temperature.

There is no place to park the car, although there is a public parking garage nearby that you can use and pay separately. If you are lucky, you can find a spot on the beach front.

The place was absolutely exceptional, for me it was all I've ever dreamed about upon coming to Rio de Janeiro. Even though it's an old-fashioned place it has a very unique charm, the floors, the rooms, the elevator, the lobby, the dining area looks like in an old-fashioned vintage movie. My room had ocean view, and it was really big, the bed was humongous and very comfortable, bathroom, tv, AC, mini-bar was expected. The place is right in the middle of everything, and the price for what I've booked the room seemed more than affordable to me. Breakfast was good, and staff was really kind, and they spoke english. I would recommend this place for anybody who would like to get a taste of and old-fashioned, vintage and exquisite experience of Rio!

Very spacious room with all needed inside. Wonderful location, just in front of Copacabana beach with a wonderful beach view. Staff is friendly and kind. Very recommended hotel if you are looking for a great and centric location and you are planning to be out most of the time.

Breakfast was not good, too salty and fruit was not fresh. Quality in general of the food was not good and no many options to choose. Hotel is quite old and you could tell there's a general lack of maintenance and upgrade of the premises (elevators, stairs, losen cables in the second floor aisle, details in the closet drawers inside the room, shower). They were not offering free water bottles inside the room, which from my perspective, a 4 stars hotel could offer and more if is a beach destination.
