A very good choice, clean (they clean and they change towers every day), the breakfast is big with many options. the personal is polite and helpfull. at the copacabana. the room we have is big with great view at the beach.

they block the money for the stay via booking and at the check in they ask me to pay again via POS so they release the money from the charge of booking. they say to me that after the check-out they will release the first charge. the result is that in my bank account i have two charges for one month after the checkout. i waiting one month to see my money back in my bank account. MESSAGE FOR THE HOTEL-please dont do that to your costumers , its not fare. take the money from booking.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Waking up to beautiful sunrises was amazing. Reception staff was super helpful with tour bookings and other information. The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was good with heaps of options.

The hotel is very good, great location. The breakfast is very good, a lot of varieties. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Don't accept to get the rooms 1301 through 1304, unless you are a heavy sleeper.... The rooms are under the terrace/pool and the staff start moving chairs and sofas at 06:30 am!

Perfect location right on the beach front, with security always at reception which made me feel much safer. The hotel was very nice with good breakfast options and a rooftop pool with great views of copacabana beach front and even the christ the redeemer could be seen! The room was a really good size as was the bathroom. I really enjoyed my stay here and would book again if ever returned to rio! Reception was also really helpful and had day tours available which they could book for you to help make to most of your stay. Which again made me feel alot safer and was a great day out visiting the highlights of rio.

The towels is nasty and smelly.

"Valentin" the service concierge was the representation that this hotel has, a person with personalized service,a professional with a great attitude and knowledge to help all the time, along with the combination of the cleaning crew my room was kept spotless everyday, thank you for your service.

I liked everything, the only thing it would be for the front desk to be a little more careful with clients who do not speak Portuguese well, a little more flexibility and interest would go a long way better with service

The location, the room was super clean, the breakfast with great variety, the top floor pool bar views.

There was a constant noise in the room from the vent or airflow probably. This along with the sound of the room mini fridge was at a point unbearable. We had to take the fridge out of the plug to sleep. Apart from there was mixed information coming from the staff with regards their laundry services and timings which ended up in not managing to do our laundry on time as planned for our big trip ahead.

I was sceptical when booking this hotel because some of the negative reviews. Having stayed here for a week I can conclude those are from people expecting a 5 star experience, when paying a 3 star hotel price to stay in a very solid 4 star hotel. The service is exceptional, from the reception staff, which were some of the best I've dealt with, to the group taking care of breakfast and room service, all were very accommodating to special requests. The location is perfect, you cross the street and are on the beach, just behind there is the boulevard with multiple grocery stores, bus stops.. The rooms do look exactly as on the pictures, 90s style retro design ;) But overall very well maintained and all amenities provided. There is a fridge in each room and strong Aircon. My room window was a few meters away from the next buildings wall but that is also noted when booking, and with the great views from the rooftop the price for sea view was not worth for me, especially as the drapes are on to keep the sun out most of the time. The rooftop pool is quiet at night as well, not a party bar as it's not s party hotel, mostly families and young couples, they have all possible drinks from tea to cocktails and the best sunset views. You get a free beach chair from the barrack right opposite the hotel on the beach and an umbrella for 10reals if youd want. Overall, I'd rate this hotel as Exceptional considering the value for money.

Located in the heart of one of the most famous beaches in the world, the hotel Astoria Palace is worth every single penny. The view from it is stunning and the fact that there is a pool allowed us to sunbathe and swim without having to worry about belongings or anything like that. The staff was really friendly, breakfast was great, the room was neat and the shower was a waterfall! There are several great restaurants nearby, and the region is relatively safe. Oh, I also loved the late check out! Instead of having to hurry in the morning, we had time to have breakfast, go for a swim, sunbathe, shower and pack and then checked out. So I could not recommend this place more.
