The hotel is great. Everything is well thought and done. Great location, beach, service... everything.

The restaurant, however, is not that good. Breakfast is fine, but dinner is a problem. Although dinner is also buffet, and food is OK, there is nothing to drink, not even water. You have to struggle to get someone's attention to order something, be it water or wine. By the time you have the drink, you either finished your plate, or is cold. Then again, another 15-20 minutes until someone comes and you can pay. Management and some personnel clearly favor a certain category of guests and give preferential treatment, so you get the feeling you are not treated fairly. There are better managed restaurants in 3 and 4 star hotels.

Frontline access to arguably the best beach in the north part of Bulgaria. Food in the restaurant was very good and definitely worth the price especially if you compare it to the prices in restaurants in Albena. You can try some of the traditional Bulgarian cuisine and I would say it was quite well prepared. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the parking in Albena and the hotel staff helped us resolve it without hesitation. The pool area seemed nice although we spent the majority of time on the beach. The pool bar served quite good pizzas and drinks. The hotel is kid and family friendly. There is a playground for the small ones, the aquapark in the pool area is fun for them and there are some entertainment programs included. The rooms are really spacious and allow to spend some time inside if the weather is bad. Our relatives were staying in some of the other hotels and after visiting and comparing them to Maritim, I think Maritim was definitely the better stay.

Wear and tear in the hotel was visible. Cleanliness was lower than what I would expect from a 5 star hotel for this price tag. In general the price seems quite high but my general impression is that prices in Albena are quite high anyways. Sunbed towel reservation problem persists even though the Albena municipality came up with some general approach to resolve it. First and second line sunbeds were not free for any of the hotels in Albena, which only managed to cause an early morning race for third line sunbeds. So yeah if you want to stay close to the sea prepare to wake up early. No control was imposed by the beach staff although there were many signs that it's forbidden to reserve your sunbed.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The rooms are nice and new. The hotel has clean pools including inside mineral pool which is great.

The whole Albena complex car parking taxes are way too high, 20 lv per day is not really acceptable. What's more most of the tourists come with a bus, so parking lots are not full, so it makes this tax even more frustrating. Also the policy of the whole Albena complex for the first two lines with umbrellas on the beach to be paid is not good, especially when you are with a kids and pay for quite expensive hotel.

The hotel is very nice, the location is perfect for us. We love it because it has enough facilities for us without being too big amd crowded. We loved the fact that, last year we complained about it not being clean enough and this year we had the pleasant surprise of finding the room very clean, the facilities and the restaurant.

Nothing really

Maritim is a jewel in Albena, the main reason we had such an amazing stay. Large clean modern rooms, amazing poolside, cleanest beach ever, top of the top restaurant. I want to congratulate the personnel, and mainly the most senior and dedicated gentleman in the restaurant (sorry I do not know the name). Dear Mister you are an inspiration to what it means loving what you do. All in all this place is on my list to come back to.

The mosquitos. I know Albena is an ecological resort, but would be great for the authorities & hotel to take measures against the mosquitos which merciless bit me :)

For a 5-star hotel, the food was average and below.

Good food, great location and very comfortable beds.

It is a bit pricey and I think that for the price you could at least get free water at dinner..

First time at this hotel and it met my expectations. Clean, nice food, superb location. Every evening there is a party and animations for the kids, which was good and they liked it a lot. Pool and water attractions were nice. Prices at the bars are not too inflated, which I find a good policy. Fantastic beach, I'd say, the best you can get in Bulgaria. Very good for children.

Although many of the staff employees were good at their duties, there were multiple occasions when the service from others was not satisfactory. Large percentage of the staff is not native Bulgarian, but from one particular country. This, by itself is not a problem, but some of these people do not understand Bulgarian and had very bad command in English. This makes the communication difficult and awkward. I would advise the Management to first, make sure that everybody is trained at the same standards and second, those with subpar language skills to attend some courses.

Beautiful location, superb beach, great breackfast. One thing to mention in negative terms: the pool water was realy realy cold.

Proper 5 star hotel with direct beach access. 1st quality food cooked by proffesional chef. Room very clean, very comfortable bed. Indoor spa, pool sauna are included, very nice for beginning of May. Staff very well trained, professional and helpfull. Bonus: for the paid parking (10 leva per day at the reception) you get free access in Albena resort, free underground parking at the hotel (if available), and, in my case, I got free EV charging, available are 380 and 220 V sockets.
