This is the second time we have visited this place and once again we were pleasantly surprised. The hosts Nadya and Maria were incredibly welcoming and chatty. The food they have served was amazing, combining flavours from all around the world. The room where we stayed - spacious, comfortable and clean, with preserved vintage furniture, telling stories about past times. This amazing experience was complete with the annual local February 1st celebration at the village square, where we had the chance to meet the friendly neighbours. We are coming back for sure!

The only thing we didn't like is that we had to leave this beautiful place. :)

I enjoyed the lovely yard, the wider nature space and also the fact the kids could play with the cats and dog. We saw a rabbit and two deers in the county, which added to the delight. The hosts were amasing, went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and provided lots of recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. The food was amazing and we even received a recipe for bulgur in the oven. I'd recommend this place to everyone.

The rooms don't have a lot of light, but we didn't spend a lot of time indoors, so all good.

The estate, the hosts and the surrounding area were astounding. The village isn't far from the city, yet, is very quiet and peaceful. Combined with the authentic Bulgarian household aesthetic, a great stay is guaranteed.

What I didn't like was the food. I am sure everything cooked was very tasty, etc, but the served meals were quite bizarre. Maybe if the guests are presented at least two options it will be better, but if you are into modern cuisine you will love it.

If you want to relax in comfort of traditional bulgarian home, away from the noise but still have access to all the modern necessities The Little River house is the best place to do it. We've been here once before and there's been many improvements which the new owners have worked hard to provide to guests. There's high speed internet so it's perfect for people who want to do some work. Maria and her husband made us feel like we're at home! There are also a lot of places around that you can explore.

The host Maria is very kind and smiley. She even prepare a very delicious dinner for me, because I didn't want to go out. The feeling at the place it's like you are at home. The breakfast was fresh made, everything was more then delicious and home made like at my grand mother. The location of the small vilage is quite and natural. You can take a really good rest. I recommend even for business traveling. There is a wifi, not with good connection everywhere, but the hosts said they will change the internet company, so it will get better.

The guesthouse is really beautiful, the atmosphere is very peaceful and the food (breakfast as well as dinner) is delicious. We definitely recommend everyone to spend a few nights in the little river guesthouse. Our little daughter enjoyed the stay as well very much.

Little River Guest House is an amazing place to spend anywhere from one day to one month, and more. The owners have done a wonderful job with restoring the 19th century house, striking a balance between old-timey charm and authenticity and modern functionality. The garden was beautifully landscaped and looked like straight out of a fairytale. And then there was the centerpiece of my stay - the Food. I wouldn't have thought that two men from the UK would grasp the soul of Middle Eastern/Balkan/North African food so well. Extremely tasty, could eat what they cook every day. In summary, I would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend some magical days in the mountain, and I will definitely go back again.

We had wonderful, peaceful and quiet time as guests of Little River Guest House. This is a gem hidden in a beautiful wild forest great for hiking or just spending chill time among nature. The hosts are very pleasant and very hospitable people. We felt very welcomed and cared for at all times of our stay. They cooked delicious and exciting breakfast and dinner as we had dishes that we never tried before. The house is very authentic, feels almost like you live in a museum except for the fact that unlike a museum, this place felt very 'homey' - cozy and comfortable. The bed was supercomfortable with duck down pillows and duvet, which is real luxury for Bulgaria. If you are a person that enjoys peaceful breaks in nature settings and old-style authenticity but with comfort - this is a wonderful place to stay. We will most certainly come back again!

I loved it. The place is fairy tale like. We were in the Annex, we had a garden view and a street view also. It was extremely quiet and clean. Every morning we woke up to birds singing and it was absolute bliss. To be honest words fail me in describing the whole experience and it is best that you come see/feel it for yourself. Once you meet the guys, their oriental cooking, the numerous cats coming and going, the flowers, the wooden ceilings and everything else you will surely want to stay. For me it was special because it took me back to my childhood garden, growing up in rural Romania and the feeling was overwhelming. As I already mentioned it is not a place to stay, it is an experience.

Wifi was not always working, so if you do not to disconnect to your social life that cand be a bit of a problem. Our personal mobile internet did not work either.

Lovely peaceful place with the nicest and most welcoming hosts. This is the perfect place to escape the daily hassle and recharge the batteries. At the same time it is conveniently located near many wonderful sights. Charming mix of old and modern. Lovely cosy rooms with very comfortable beds. The hosts cook absolutely delicious food and most important, they deal with any dietary requirements. We were so happy to be able to taste any of the tempting breakfast options and enjoy divine desserts although we are on a gluten free diet. Would definitely return and definitely recommend.
