I read some of the negative reviews and I am questioning how is it possible?! Obviously, some people don't have realistic expectations. If you want a super luxury stay, you might try Villa Chinka at St. Constantine and Helena, but it won't be the same price. It will cost you about 20+ times more. To me Hotel Horizont is not only the best value for the money but it has a very special charm and positive vibes. Although, it's not a luxurious place, it is very clean, the beds are extremely comfortable, I always have a good sleep there. Not to mention that the family who runs the place, has an exceptional customer service. They are friendly, helpful and personal, yet very professional. Stoyan has a heart of gold and works tiredlessly to make sure the hotel runs at 100% client satisfection. Silvia and Sirma are the most professional hotel staff, I've ever dealed with. I highly recommend this place.

The pool is the best thing about this hotel, and the proximity to the beach.

Food. There were very poor choices for breakfast. Lunch and dinner are ok, provided that one goes early enough and stays in line to get something to eat while there is food to choose from. When we arrived to eat halfway through the serving time, we could choose from a few kinds of sides, but there wasn't any or very little meat left, so it was a kind of a survival game. After a few days food gets quite boring, as there isn't much variety.

Nice old fashioned hotel uphill in the forest. Large, clean swimming pool. The room was somehow small but it was clean and the hot water were available at any hour. The food was good. The best value for the money in Golden Sands!

It is an economy hotel. You could not just come here and claim the same things that you get from a 4* hotel. Everyone is different and has different expectations. If you are like me, you will enjoy the place. After all, if you want luxury there are plenty of options around Horizon where you can get luxury paying 3x-5x the price.

I liked the pool, the trees, the forest, the stars at night, the location, the quiet style of the hotel (no music), the hotel itself, the paintings & art, the terrace, the concept of the hotel - he terrace of the room is meters away from the pool, the attitude of the staff. The food at noon and at evening was ok, better than expected. Super-value for money.

The location was good - for me - walking to the beach <10 min. Breakfast and dinner were nice, modest but tasty. I did not go for lunch (although it was paid) as i preferred to stay on the beach all day... ;) The facility is old, but t bed was super comfortable! TV channels - many languages, but the more - the better.

The facility needs renovation... but it is a good deal for the money.

I arrived late in the evening. They made room in the parking lot for my car :) Room was quiet and clean. It is not modernized, but I liked the good quality old wood flooring and the hotel has an artistic character with the paintings and the building itself. Good value for money.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and the size of our room exceeded our expectations. The hotel has a very welcoming atmosphere partially due to its unique appearance and has kept its shape quite well.

Some of the rooms lack air conditioning, which can be a big problem considering the heat. Some bathroom doors don't have locks (at the very least our didn't)

The hotel is located in a beautiful place surrounded by trees and there is a quiet place. Also all meals were delicious and the staff, especially the administrator was very nice.
