Service service service! This is a small locally owned hotel with just 9 rooms. The property offers spacious rooms and a quiet atmosphere with proximity to the town area for excitement as needed. The staff was amazing and consistently attentive and ready to service in whatever is needed or requested. The manager, Renna Sy, is super sweet and humble. He leads in the heart of serving while being kind enough to let me ask 1000 questions about the hotel, the area as well as his own personal life. There were other team members who were amazing as well, like Sothay (So-Tee), Noch, Nith, and others whose name I failed to get before leaving. They offer comp pickup from the airport (which is 1 hour away), welcome drinks (and not only at initial arrival), but in room snacks and drinks that refreshed daily, cool washrag for your face at arrival. Just about the entire staff welcomes you on arrival with fresh juice, and the service just builds from there. They also have organic products in the bathroom for use that they have made available for sale at the front desk at very inexpensive prices. If you are coming to Cambodia, especially to visit Angkor Wat, you must must must stay here. The service alone is well worth the visit. As with the entire experience of Cambodia, if you only come to see stuff, you'll miss the entire experience. What makes Cambodia a place to come to aren't ancient ruins, but hearing the stories of the people that walked in history and connecting them into the eyes of the individual people that stand in front of you as you enter into Shintana Saya. Our opportunity to be here tied all the pieces together to make Cambodia a standing destination on our travel list. The room was lovely and peaceful. The shower was outdoors, as was the toilet—which isn’t exactly my preference, but everything worked well. Just a 5-minute tuk tuk ride to Pub Street. The staff were excellent—friendly, respectful, and very kind. My son and I enjoyed the complimentary massage, which was fantastic. Breakfast was delicious, and the airport shuttle was a great bonus. We were even greeted with fresh coconut for the ride. We also booked tours to Angkor Wat, the surrounding temples, and Kulen Mountain through the hotel’s recommendations—the drivers were all wonderful and made the experience even better. Overall, a warm and welcoming stay.

We got a "7 stars" treatment and services. The room and facilities are remarkable and the staff overwhelming. Special thanks to the manager, Mr. Binn, who gave us a kind personal treatment, that made this a unique great experience, even for frequent travelers like us. We were diverted to a sister hotel - Shintana Saya La Maison. It appears that the Residence has been closed for renovation for already a month and will stay under renovation for 6 months more. We were not notified about it before, and have paid already the higher rate of the Residence. Nevertheless, our Residence package was upgraded and the staff gave us extra perks and benefits, which made our vacation unforgettable.

I can only confirm and amplify the excellent ratings of previous reviews given to this hotel. We are globetrotters and have seen many hotels during a 55+ years international career. But this hotel is really the top in customer friendliness, efficiency. The staff takes care of everything, so don’t worry when you book te hotel, you are in their good hands: they arrange transport, visit of the Angkor Wat archiological site on a personal basis, have tuk-tuk transport and limousine transport to airport or by road to Pnom Penh. We had excellent breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Again with their well trained personel, all very fluent in English. I would like to specially mention: Mr. Sen, calmly and efficiently organising everything, Mr. (Kim)Long, who explained history of Angkor Wat and religious aspects Mrs. Lali who cared well for our breakfast Bravo to all the staff.

I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The staff really made me feel at home. From check-in to check-out, everyone was so warm and accommodating. Their kindness and smile truly made our stay memorable. As for the food, it was fantastic! We had the chance to try a few other restaurants in the city, but none came close to the quality and flavor of the meals at the hotel’s restaurant. Every dish was a treat. A big thank to the chefs! The connecting room we stayed in was perfect for our family with three kids. The spacious, beautifully decorated rooms had large, comfortable beds, and the amenities were great as well, making our stay even more enjoyable. We also loved the pool—it was a great spot to unwind. The hotel may be small, but it truly feels like a peaceful resort with a beautiful garden. The entire place was clean, quiet, and just a perfect escape. The location is close to Angkor Wat and other temples and the driver was always ready to take us anywhere. Overall, our stay far exceeded my expectations, and we’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Our stay at Shintana was seamless and wonderful from start to finish, from the lovely driver who was waiting to collect us from the airport with fresh coconuts to drink being greeted at the hotel by the owner and the staff helping us with all our touristy bookings and transport throughout our stay. The hotel is beautifully designed, very clean and comfortable and the staff were exceptional and attentive. As a small, boutique hotel it was very quiet and peaceful and there was always a sun lounge available by the beautiful pool when we wanted one. The bedroom configuration of two queen beds suited our family perfectly and was spacious and modern and very clean. The restaurant was very good - we ate most of our meals there - I especially liked the Siem Reap Fried Rice. We were given a complimentary massage which was beautiful and just what we needed after a long day out walking and climbing around temple ruins. Angkor Wat and surrounding temples were amazing and a very short drive from the hotel. It was the staff who made the stay really special. I would definitely stay again!

This beautiful hotel charmed me with its authentic Southeast Asian style and nine thoughtfully designed rooms. The space was perfect – cozy yet comfortable. But the real highlight? The exceptional staff – genuinely one of the best we've encountered during our travels (we travel A LOT)! They anticipated needs and delivered service with warm professionalism. Their dedication to creating memorable stays is what makes this place truly special. While the aesthetic and comfort are top-notch, it's the team's genuine care that'll have me recommending this hotel to other travelers.

The silence, service, hospitality we were pampered. We extended our 5 days stay to 7 days. We had a complimentary airport pickup with a welcome Welcome drink and cold towel upon arrival. Complimentary fruit platter every day, Complimentary evening coffee everyday. Housekeeping was at its best. Welcome drink and fruits not only at the first arrival but also on our return from everyday sightseeing at the entrance. What an amazing stay. They had their own tuck tuck and cars at the best price with free water and cold towels during visits. Thank you Shintana.

The staff were super-friendly and helpful. The hotel chauffeur greeted me at the airport with my name displayed clearly so I could recognise my driver. He carried my luggage to the waiting area, while he went to get the car. When seated in the car, he gave me a refreshing cold towel to use, then a coconut to drink. The driving was safe and comfortable. It seemed all the staff at the hotel (6 on the day) came out to greet me on arrival, standing 3 each on my right and left sides to form a corridor. This felt very special. Wish I had recorded this because I haven't seen this at other hotels. My main reason for going to Siem Reap was to see Angkor Wat, but there were other monuments to see, and the hotel manager was extremely helpful and took his time to work out a plan for the few days I was there, to maximise the use of my time. All the costs (transport, tour guide, park pass) were immediately known. All the food and drink in the room was complimentary. The welcoming inclusions in the room even had a bottle of wine, and three trays of freshly cut fruit. Room cleaning seemed to occur a few times a day! The room was clean as were all hotel amenities. My booking included breakfast, which was by the menu but I could keep ordering as much as I wanted without extra charge. Staff were always courteous. They said goodbye to me every time I left the hotel, and every time I returned multiple staff came out to greet me and welcome me back with a nice drink (with ice) and a few pieces of fruit. The farewell when I checked out was just as special as when I first arrived. The hotel is not near the busy touristy area of town and the area was peaceful. However, transport is easily called by the hotel and the wait was never longer than 5-10 minutes. The hotel tuk tuk (rickshaw) was free to get to the city centre, but they charged USD3 for the return. If you are familiar with using Grab, you could save a little by booking the return with Grab.

The hotel may not have all the amenities of larger hotels, but what they did have were of high quality. The service itself was better than the larger hotels I stayed at previously.

Great treatment, starting with airport pickup, complete with a warm towel and a fresh coconut and a very nice driver. Lovely staff who greeted me by name every time I came to the front office. I organised a very last minute trip to Angkor Wat and they organised a guide and tuktuk for me. Spotlessly clean pool, really nice to cool off a bit during the hot day. I was sitting by the poolside reading on my last day and a staff member brought me a refreshing juice and some spring rolls unprompted. The location was perfect for me, right in between Siem Reap town and the Angkor temple complex. Tuktuk into the town was available for free from the hotel any time, and trip back only cost 3USD. Food at the restaurant was delicious - I had the fish amok twice. Lovely room with a big bath and great shower. My flight wasn't until very late in the evening and they mentioned that they would give me late checkout. I was expecting that to mean 2pm (which I would have been happy with) but they let me use my room right up until I left to go to the airport, which was really appreciated and gave me more time to relax and enjoy the hotel. Definitely would come back! Thank you to all the staff for such lovely treatment and such a nice relaxing stay 🙏

Nothing to fault it. The location is a little outside the town so if you really wanted to be in the middle of the action maybe it wouldn't work, but it is only 10 mins by tuktuk anyway, so even that isn't a big deal.
