I liked its location. It is not located in the city centre, but rather in a relatively quiet area north of the centre. I understand that this means there are not a lot of restaurants around, but tuktuks are very easy to call and can take you anywhere. I liked the fact that it is quiet at night, and while the outside might be a rural dusty area, the property enables guests to relax and enjoy their time off. I also liked the overall design of the property, not just of the common areas but also of the individual rooms. The overall aesthetics was definitely pleasing, and was the perfect place to relax.

For a property that rates itself as 5 stars, I would have expected better food. The luxury high-end experience that is visible in every other aspect of the property somehow didn't carry over in the kitchen.

I think this hotel is great from a service perspective because the staff are superstars. The location is good and bad. It is centrally located but on a dirt road off the main street. Thomas and his staff are very kind, professional, and just a great group of people to be around. It is not that far from Angor Wat, and the grounds are minimal but have a pool, and there is a gym nearby. You can walk through the neighborhood safely.

I was disappointed in the room that I was placed in; the curtains were torn, and my room required a key to get into the front door, which was a hassle. The food leaves something to be desired.

Everything! The entire hotel was lovely, exceptionally clean and the location was great, not far from the centre but also close to Angkor Wat Heritage sites. My stay there was perfect. The hotel arranged my airport pick-up and from arriving to leaving the staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast team who made me the amazing cups of coffee in a morning were fantastic and the buffet breakfast included with my stay was always tasty and a good selection. I stayed in a poolside chalet/bungalow and it could not have been any better - spacious, modern design and very comfy bed! Throughout my stay it was quiet and peaceful and the pool was great too! As a solo female traveller - I felt safe at all times wherever I ventured. I can’t speak highly enough about my stay here at Grand Venus and in Cambodia as a whole - what a wonderful hotel, country and such friendly, welcoming people!

Nothing to dislike!

All the food was very good. There were good deals on the cocktails, and the pool was very pleasant for a leisurely swim. We took the inclusive breakfast option, and we enjoyed it every day, including a breakfast box when we did the sunrise tour at Angkor Wat. The staff were all very helpful, and very approachable. The Grand Venus la Residence has a relaxed and peaceful ambience... just what we wanted.

The location is not central, but apart from that, I can fault nothing about this hotel. It has great staff, excellent food and drink, and very good facilities. If you want a quiet and peaceful resort-style hotel, and it fits your budget, book it now.

The hotel is frankly in the middle of a less busy local area which might seem a bit strange, however it’s perfectly secluded so you can feel safe and undisturbed for the whole stay. Positioned relatively close to the Angkor Wat complex, it’s a perfect gateway for exploring the temples. The room was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable, toiletries (even toothbrushes) are provided. The staff of the hotel (especially Mr. Thomas and the service staff) is superb - they are kind, attentive and very accommodating. The breakfast had a variety of different options, all from classic continental to asian-oriental food, including fresh fruit like mango, watermelon, passionfruits. The hotel also has a centrally located infinity pool which is clean and well-maintained, making it perfect to relax after exploring the angkor areas.

There was a smell coming from the toilet area, probably from the drain pipes, which could be improved. Also I would highly recommend to the hotel owner to improve the lighting in the bathroom as it is very poor and can sometimes make it hard to see what you’re doing (especially when inserting contact lenses, doing makeup). The sound isolation of the rooms could also be improved, as certain guests can be quite loud and you would hear them coming back to the hotel or talking in their room.

My room was clean and spacious! The location was perfect. It was a little outside the madness, which loved but still only a 10 min tuktuk ride into the centre! The staff were amazing. They were so friendly, kind and helpful. In particular Thomas. He helped me out with all my requests, big and small and always with a smile on his face! He gave me loads of suggestions of fun things to do and also booked shows and buses for me to make my life a little easier! He was just wonderful 🫶

I stayed in room 118 and I wanted to have a bath one evening but the plug didn’t work so I couldn’t fill it! Also, the water wasn’t hot for the shower! Other than that, my stay was amazing! I would highly recommend the Grand Venus La Residence

The location a bit out of town and closer to the temple area which meant that you saved 10-15 minutes driving time, which is much appreciated when going out to watch the sunset. And there was no car or motorbike noise at all. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was super friendly and always happy to help with any issue.

As the hotel is located out of town it is in a residential area which leads to waking up to the call of a rooster or the barking of dogs. Not much the hotel can do about it but you should be aware of that.

The staff at this hotel is exceptionally kind and helpful, making our stay truly enjoyable. The hotel is cozy and intimate, with only a few rooms occupied due to the onset of the rainy season in Cambodia. This limited occupancy often made us feel privileged. The surrounding vegetation creates an immersive jungle atmosphere. While the restaurant’s menu was limited during the low season, the quality of the food was still satisfactory. It is convenient to take a tuk-tuk to the city center. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was absolutely incredible! It’s one of the best places I’ve ever stayed, hands down. The pool was perfect, the beds were so comfy, and the breakfast was to die for. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff. They’re all so friendly and welcoming, they feel like family. Thomas at the front desk was especially amazing. They made sure we had everything we needed and were super attentive to our every need. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Siem Reap!

Spacious clean room with terrace, bathtub and Pool access. All was functional and very convenient. Complimentary coffee/tea, water in the room. All toiletries like shampoo, shower gel, dental kit etc. as well as hair dryer and a cosmetic / shaving mirror were available. Beds with double pillow for each guest, seating and working area, fridge, safety box, cable TV and a super comfy bed. Breakfast was included with a small but good buffet which also included yogurt, fruits, muesli, hot dish like noodle and sausage, croissant, toast, juice etc. and additional breakfast menu to choose from like American or Asian Breakfast. Also egg dishes are cooked to order. Staff is excellent and shows great Cambodian hospitality. Swimming pool is huge and open until 10 pm which was perfect because in day time it was too hot. I had dinner in their restaurant Khmer Red Chicken Curry with Jasmine Rice and it was good. Additional to the prices in the menu there is a 10% VAT and 10% Service charge which wasn't a problem for me. All over it was a great stay in a beautiful hotel and I throughout recommend to book your stay here.
