It's a gem. A tranquil sanctuary from which to explore the ancient wonders of Angkor. I love the design of the building, especially the restaurant, pool and garden area. The pool design I strongly suspect was inspired by the ancient Kmer barays,(the massive reservoirs that sustained the city and its rice cultivation ).The "silver" tiles, infinity design and gentle sound of water cascading from the upper level pool to the lower level one is very tranquillising. The restaurant has three large palm trees within it and a floor to ceiling glass wall looks out onto the pool and central garden area. Superb. The restaurant is excellent. The staff are excellent. If it wasn't for the ancient archaeological wonders, I wouldn't have left the hotel grounds. Very highly recommended.

I suppose the baked beans at breakfast could be a little warmer. Though I can't believe I'm saying that.

It’s not just about the property—it’s the staff who truly make the difference. Starting with the driver who greeted us at the airport with chilled drinks and a wonderfully comfortable car, to the ladies at reception who were incredibly kind and helpful. They even arranged all our activities, which turned out to be totally worth it, with an excellent guide. The restaurant staff and the food were fantastic (the amok fish was a highlight), and the spa was unforgettable—by far the best massage I’ve ever had! The free massage, airport pickup, and complimentary laundry service made everything so convenient, ensuring our stay was exceptional. Well done to the team! Keep up the great work—you’re the reason the hotel shines (even if it could use a little renovation 🙂).

Beautiful hotel with lots of trees and beautiful touches of Cambodian art. The food at the restaurant was very good, we loved our fresh breakfast every morning. However, one thing we appreciated the most was the hotel staff who were exceptionally attentive and caring. They remained flexible and did everything to make our stay comfortable from check-in to check-out. Reception, massage, transportation arrangements, laundry, etc. all services were very satisfactory. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Siem Reap.

The location is closer to the Angkor temples but can be slightly far from the typical tourist sites in the city center. However, the hotel always arranges safe tuk tuk transportation (e.g. round trip to and from the city center for $3), so it was easy to get around the city.

The hotel staff were very friendly, and helped us with everything. Hotel helped us with booking of the two day Ankor Wat tour with tuktuk with fantastic driver mr. Rorth and amazing english guide mr. Kai. Mr. Rorth and Mr. Kai took us to not only temples, but also try local food and fruits. Cold towels and water provided was a bliss. Hotel room was very spacious, with balcony overlooking the pool, clean room, comfy beds, fresh fruit every day. Laundry was included into price, which was definitely a great perk to have. Hotel restaurant offered variety of choices for breakfast, including specials as well as local cuisine. Lunch/dinner menu included mix of local and western dishes, but we ate only local, and it was better tasting food than in the best restaurant in town. So we ended up going for dinner only at hotel itself. We also went to the spa multiple times, and the masseuse were very skilled and helped to relax the very tense muscles post all the walking we have done around the temples during the day. So all in all, amazing hotel and great quality/price ratio.

There really isn’t anything that we disliked, maybe a more local ethnic food dishes in the restaurant

Anansaya La Maison is a beautiful property. We booked a package that included airport transfer The driver waited for us at the airport and the van was really luxurious. It takes about one hour to drive to town. We had a standard room which was beautiful with high ceiling and a huge open air bathroom. The package we booked also included one massage a day. I had 3 during our stay and they were perfect, very professional. Breakfast was very good too. Large choice and excellent expresso which is not so common when you travel. Staff was professional. We also booked the small tour of Angkor site through the hotel. The tuktuk driver was really nice and we had a great day. The swimming pool is a plus. It was always quiet when we were there. Lovely after a day at Angkor or just relaxing after a long flight from Europe. All in all a great stay. I do recommend Anansaya La Maison for your stays in Siem Reap.

Staff tends to be a bit pushy with restaurant bookings (they probably get a commission) and transportation. Rates for transfers to restaurants in town and to the airport are about twice higher as Grab. So I would strongly advise using Grab instead.

This was our second stay here. We had a bedroom on the top floor with nice view of the pool. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable with a balcony and a fridge with some soft drinks included. Very welcoming atmosphere with extremely friendly and helpful staff. They organise transport for you and give advice on what to do. The spa is excellent with good choices of treatment. One of the best massages I have ever had. The food is fantastic. Very good choice at breakfast with a buffet and someone cooking eggs or local dishes for you. We had dinner there several nights. It’s a delightful place to stay - intimate and friendly with very welcome extras like the fridge, laundry, airport pickup included in the price.

That hotel is awesome and offers simply everything: very friendly staff, super tasty breakfast, a large pool (there were always free sun beds) and a perfect room (spacious, clean, great comfort). Special mention must be made for the tour (angkor wat) I booked through the hotel and my tourguide Kay. Kay was simply amazing! Not only he gave me perfect information about the history of the temples but also he managed to visit every spot at the perfect time so that we (unlike many others) could avoid the crowds the whole time while we visited the temples. On top of that Kay was a fantastic photographer (he knew all the hidden spots to take awesome pictures and gave me great advice, especially top poses). Due to Kays great timing we also also had the best lighting conditions to see the temples.

I initially booked 7 nights at Shintana Saya La Maison but ended up extending my stay for 4 more — that alone says how much I enjoyed it. From the warm welcome to the attentive service throughout, everything was exceptional. The staff are truly caring and professional, always going the extra mile to make your stay special. The swimming pool area is a peaceful oasis — perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the temples. I also treated myself to a massage every day, which became a highlight of my stay. The quality and consistency were excellent. The on-site restaurant is fantastic. Every meal I had was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. It’s clear the kitchen puts a lot of care into everything they serve. Thank you to everyone at Shintana Saya La Maison. You made my stay in Siem Reap truly memorable. I highly recommend this residence to anyone looking for calm, comfort, and genuine hospitality.

The staff were very kind and professional and went out of their way to provide incredible service - remembering our names and preferences, cold drink and cloth every time we came home etc… Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and clean and we really appreciated the package with free massages and laundry…

It was quite off putting that on the night we arrived the owner had a private party in the dining room meaning there were children running and shouting everywhere and none of the paying guests could use the dining room - even those that had booked family dinners… this wasn’t great in terms of feeling welcomed. The service over the rest of the stay definitely turned this impression around through as we felt very well looked after through the rest of the stay. Our only other issue was being on the third floor with no lift… we avoided going back to our room too often as the stairs were an effort in the heat. I’d recommend asking for first or second floor if stairs are an issue.
