We stayed in the lodge, and absolutely loved it. It was well appointed with fresh Kerig coffee pods every day, magnificent view of the cove, promanade and sunset. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had easy access to table tennis, pickle ball, and table tennis equipment ( that was a lot of fun). I enjoyed the weight room, and perfectly heated swimming pool and hot tub. We rented kayaks for a day, and Kai was very thorough and helpful. Excellent set up. Clean, friendly, fun…excellent restaurant, what’s not to like? :)

It would have been nice to have 2 real coffee mugs in the room, but we borrowed them from a friends’s cabin ( and returned them).

Beautiful peaceful setting, nice views and pool.

No room service. Only place to get food was from the pub and we had to wait over an hour for a table, due to understaffing during the dinner rush. Paying guests should be given priority to reserve a table for dinner over the walk in boaters tying up at the marina. We came by bike and had no way of driving to the other side of the island to find food. It was really distressing when we were still queuing at 7:50pm when the kitchen was due to close at 8:00pm. No manager was available to help relieve the situation.

Beautiful location, very pleasant and secluded. Our dog loved the little beach area and marina. The main hotel building was also pretty and appeared well-maintained. Our room was comfortable (somewhat small TV, but we weren't there for watching TV) and all the rooms have a view of the water & marina. We ate at the Syrens Bistro and enjoyed both the food and ambience. All staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a beautiful and memorable stay for our anniversary trip!

The facilities (pool, hot tub, and gym) were OK, but could do with a bit more cleaning and maintenance.

The staff (Christine, Sofia, Illia, Jill, Mikita) were exceptionally wonderful. They were all very helpful and friendly. I had accidentally forgotten to bring my swimsuit and Christine managed to find a spare swimsuit to lend to me. Had it not been for Christine, I would not have been able to fully enjoy my spa experience at Susurrus Spa (on site). Sofia was very helpful with any inquiries that I have. Illia tried his best to help me check in early, which is very much appreciated. Jill was a delight and made me feel great after my Healing from The Ocean spa treatment with her. Christine also really took care of me on my last day especially given the continued closure of the road leading to the property: again, truly appreciated. All the staff members also gave me recommendations on what to do around the island. My room was also very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the ocean. On site dining options were good. Moorings Market was good for breakfast/light lunch. Syren Bistro and Lounge exceeded expectations: food was very tasty and the seafood, very fresh. I went back a few times to Syren for the seafood spaghettini and the seafood chowder was the best I have ever had. Overall, the location and the serenity of the South Pender Island truly helped me recharge. I will definitely be back at Poets! On a separate note, I went without a car and having Cheryl (super punctual by the way) from Lightning Taxi drive me to and fro the ferry was a huge help!

Maybe WiFi? Honestly though, it was not a main concern given the purpose of the trip to disconnect and recharge. Besides, given the location, it is totally understandable that WiFi connection can be a bit spotty. Aurora Restaurant was closed for the season, which is a bit unfortunate given its view and vibe. Although, the food and service at Syren totally make up for it.

My husband an I stayed here for our honeymoon and LOVED it. We decided it will become our spot for anniversaries...even as our family expands. They have king suits that were perfect for two and different sized villas for families. It was quiet, peaceful, beautiful, and the food was delicious!

The water supply is from the their local reserve. It isn't something we would personally drink (though it was certainly safe to do so) and it had an odd smell (like when taking a shower). There were some pesky bees that wouldn't leave us alone while eating outside.

The staff was very kind, professional and welcoming. The rooms were lovely, and the view of the cove met expectations. The restaurant was lively, the waiter was super friendly and very good food. The little cafe down in the harbor was a highlight because of Marcella- she really made us feel at home. Her homemade chai, breakfast sandwiches and baked goods were fantastic!

When we called in advance to ask about BC ferry information, getting advice on getting off the Island, we didn't get a call back. But the ferry ended up being no big deal, there were plenty of chances to take a ferry to your next destination.

I had some problems that the management was very accepting of feedback and prompt at addressing. Underfloor heating in kitchen and baths are a great addition. Location is beautiful, quiet (in winter) and remote!

The resort really needs some TLC and maintenance. Simple things could make all the difference (eg the little wooden deck area around the hot tub requires replacement - is a falls hazard; more hooks to hang wet swimsuit/towels/housecoat; some window cranks broken; furniture needs steam cleaning; mat by the door to the deck).

Beautiful resort, ocean views, two pools, friendly staff, and a restaurant onsite! Loved our ocean facing patio, live music in the restaurant at night, pickleball courts, hiking nearby, and paddle boarding right in front of the resort. Our room was clean and modern. Came here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint.

Restaurant service was a bit slow, but could be that they were short staffed - we were there on a busy long weekend

The location was spectacular. We had a lovely room -a little tired but lovely. The coffee place was fun to visit

Our waiter spilled a full glass of water that ended up soaking my pants and chair. He disappeared with barely an apology, letting the other staff help clean up the mess. I wasn’t upset over the water - things happen - but not even a glass of wine was taken off the bill. And he didn’t apologize. Ruined a lovely dinner.

We loved the swimming pool, and the restaurant overlooking the water. It was great that there was a little cafe to have morning coffee.. the bed was comfy and the patio was a nice touch. It would have been nice if the rooms had a kitchenette or even a microwave.

The sink and tub were stuck close so they were a little slow to drain. Also, parking can be a challenge as there appear not to be enough parking spots for a the hotels guests.
