Lazy bear had an awesome heated pool, which the kids loved. There were several bbqs on site, which we utilized nightly and were able to save money on cooking- our room also had a full apartment sized fridge. We spent a lot of time outside on the deck and pool area conversing with the staff who live there, and other visitors.

It appears that they're slowly updating. Will like to see what it looks like they are all done!

The pool was wonderful! Our kids had a blast and it helped us all feel better after a full day of driving.

I always feel more secure when hotels have bedbug covers on the mattresses and box springs. I would recommend adding those to the hotel for visitors' peace of mind. Those covers are also waterproof, so protect the mattress/boxspring from spills and accidents. I was also worried about my kids wetting the bed when we stayed.

customer service was amazing, I Hidden booked online and gave them my approximately time for arrival! When we arrived they had the air conditioner going for us to cool the room! They were super friendly. The location is fantastic right on the main road close to all the restaurants and shopping! The hotel rooms was quiet, and overlooking the pool. The balcony table and chairs allowed us to sit outside and have drinks or meals if we choose to, or morning coffee as well! customer service was amazing, we felt really welcomed there! We would definitely stay there again!

The location was easily accessible and the pool was nice. The staff were really friendly.

The air conditioning wasn’t on when we came in so the room was really hot. We eventually managed to cool it down to a comfortable sleeping temperature right before going to sleep. The rooms are a bit run down and our bed’s box spring was broken, so it dipped down a lot at the bottom. You definitely get what you pay for.

Excellent motel. The dynamic husband-wife owner team obviously work very hard to provide the guests a quality stay. While the kids were enjoying the heated pool, my husband prepared the BBQ, before we sat to eat at a picnic table under trees that were trimmed to be used as a perfect overhang. There is a wide overhang over the balcony area, with benches and sitting areas beside the rooms. The pool and courtyard which has been designed to give the feel of a private oasis, are lined with annuals and hanging baskets. The double queen room was tastefully decorated, spacious and clean, with a fridge and small kitchenette, basic dishes provided. The TV is encormous. Other guests there were so relaxed, we ended up socializing with several of them. We had a wonderful stay. 100%

I booked last minute as I was making my way down to the border from Jasper. This hotel was very reasonably priced (even last minute at full occupancy), and my room had been remodeled fairly recently, so it was perfect. Staff were very friendly, and the outdoor pool looked really nice, though I didn’t have time to use it. I’m not a biker, but it’s definitely a biker friendly place, and I’ve found those are often pretty safe bets.

Parking can be a bit tight if they’re fully booked, but there’s extra parking on the side of the building, so it’s fine.

Nice little gem in eastern Kootenay. Fantastic place for a family to stay. Conveniently located and central to restaurants and shopping. BBQ was great, and the staff were fantastic. The pool was perfect! Would stay here again and again.

We were really rushed to checkout and would have liked if lady at the front desk was nicer and gave us an extra 5 min . My friend pulled a muscle in her back trying to get out in time . We handed the key in on time but asked if we could HAVE A FEW MORE MIN TO NGET OUR LUGGUGE OUT TO THE CAR . ONE WORKER THAT WAS NEAR THE POOL SAID DONT RUSH . And the pool was really dirty with bugs .shower had no pressure and fluxcuated heat and cold

Very clean, comfy beds, friendly staff. Outdoor area was lovely. Lots of seating, potted plants and a pool. Everything was neat and tidy.

It took some time to cool the room after a very hot day (+30). This couldn't have been helped however. Was thankful sitting outside was so pleasant until the air conditioner had a chance to do its thing.

It’s very clean and well managed. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and asked my name. I was prepaid so the front desk said here’s your key and I was on my way to my room. It took all of 3 minutes to do everything. It’s a very quiet motel and had a very nice rest. There was restaurants and stores all around in walking distance. It was a awesome visit. Thank you for making my stay so welcoming. I definitely will be back again.
