I can always depend on the Super 8 in Kamloops to be basic but clean and tidy. The bathroom was more spacious than I expected and still had a bathtub in which I could indulge: so many hotel rooms seem to be getting rid of bathtubs in favour of showers only. The price for the two of us was excellent and the location is ideal.

We need gluten-free choices, so breakfast was not an option for us; however, I think that the breakfast options improve during the peak seasons. The room price was so good that not being able to have breakfast at the Super 8 was no big deal.

We only had an overnight stop there. The beds and the room were clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast featured some gluten-free options (cereals and most of the other things, gf. bread was not included, though). We haven't used any of the hotel's facilities besides the breakfast, so we can't comment on that :)

The room was a bit cold on our arrival, and the a/c was a bit old-styled, having a big unit located under the window and generating quite some wind while warming up the whole space. Besides that, everything was fine :)

Helpful and friendly staff, easy parking, clean, large room, close to large markets and even closer to a few take-away eateries. Breakfast was generous especially if you like fresh-made waffles.

Being Pet-Friendly meant that another guest across the hall left their yappy dog in the room which yapped and barked for near 2 hours before they returned. Not the Hotels fault but will re-consider not staying at a 'Pet Friendly' location again.

Lighting was ok, could have been better with a central light, cleanliness was okay. Basically everything was ok. The shower was kind of messed up and needs tuning/maintenance for the faucet. Spacing was tight. We also did not receive a wifi password card in our room even though we were promised one and had to go to a friends room to get the password which was very much not cool. :(

The fact that our room’s shower faucet leaked unless you wrenched on the broken-ass faucet. We also disliked that we were not given a wifi password despite our counterparts getting one. The front desk was also odd and the time I called in I had no clue it was the right number because the dude who answered hardly even said hello, let alone announced the business name I was calling😬.

The breakfast was good. It had some decent options. What I was most surprised about was what a lovely place it was. It was well worth the value. In my review for "did the price match my expectations" I put "no" only because for the $121 I paid I had barely any expectations. When I got there I found the beds to be comfortable, the shower had actual tile, the soap and shampoo were Dove brand and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Close to Aberdeen mall as well.

The only thing was there were no muffins. lol.

The breakfast was good. It was quiet.

A staff member was parked in the only handicap parking stall when I arrived. His car didn't have a handicap sticker anywhere in his car. I needed a handicap parking spot. I had to go into the front office to let them know there's a person parked in the handicap parking stall without a handicap decal or sticker. Next thing I know I see a staff member running out to move his car. I couldn't believe it. At no time ever should a perfectly healthy staff member park in a handicap parking spot.

This dog friendly property fit the bill for our Kamloops stay: we were exploring the outdoors during most of the day, and wanted a clean, well priced place to lay our heads at night. Bonus to have a simple brekkie provided: boiled eggs, yogurt and cream cheese for protein and bread and bagels for toast, in a clean breakfast room. I brought my own apple and had a good start to the day. They also had a well lit area for dogs.

Nothing negative

Great big room. Family 2 adults, 1 toddler (2 years old) 1) Large enough room with two beds. 2) Comfortable mattresses, clean and ironed linens, which is important for a comfortable sleep 3) Mini fridge, availability of coffee maker, complimentary tea, coffee. 4) Basic American breakfast (coffee, tea, waffles, jam, bread, boiled eggs). 5) Quick check-in and check-out. A deposit was taken at check-in, which was immediately refunded (no actual withdrawal of deposit money).

We very much enjoyed our stay! It was clean, but not. It was dated so it was that kinda clean. Our room and facilities smelt amazing. It was quiet for the most part, but because where our room was, we heard everyone on the stairs going for breakfast, and it started at 6am. The beds were comfy, and the food was great, and plenty of it. The staff made sure to keep up with replenishing what was out. When we arrived we were offered a larger suit at no extra charge. We will be traveling to Kamloops again and if we stay the night, we will be booking here again, as well as any time in the future. Front desk staff was very kind and friendly. Thank you for a great stay.

The stove top was dirty, and the bed skirts had stuff on it. Eeek lol

Very friendly reception and staff. It was clean with a comfy bed. Nothing special about it but the breakfast offered the standard hotel fare in a clean bright room. Great hotel if you are just looking for a bed to sleep on and a quick breakfast in the morning.

A bit of a challenge finding the entrance. Drove right by it the first time but it was dark and a nearby traffic circle came to the rescue. Not serious just something people should watch for.
