Oak Bay Beach Hotel is a beautiful, peaceful getaway right on the ocean. The views are stunning, and the atmosphere is quiet and private—ideal for couples. The hot pools overlooking the water are a dream, and the staff make the experience feel truly personal. And don’t miss meeting Ella, the sweet hotel dog—she’s the heart of the place. Highly recommended for a relaxing, romantic escape.

While our stay at Oak Bay Beach Hotel was wonderful overall, the dining experience at the pub was a bit disappointing. The portion sizes were quite small for the price, and the tempura dish was overly salty.

Loved the large bathroom with separate shower, toilet, and large tub that could fit two. The bed pillows were super comfy and luxurious. I booked our room with 1 bar of service while doing the West Coast Trail based on the tub alone and did not expect, or know about the spa amenities that came with our stay - the warm mineral pool, jacuzzis, and saunas were amazing. Ate at the Snug Pub and the seafood pasta was very good. Staff were excellent and was able to accommodate a slightly earlier, 3pm check in. I like that checkout is also at 12pm which is later than most hotels. Wish we had more than one night. Saw 2 orcas while lounging by the pool!

We wish that the spa had a cold plunge option, especially post sauna or jacuzzi.

The hotel is gorgeous! The ocean view from the lobby and restaurant is so inviting. The pool is serene and beautiful. We enjoyed an ocean dip in the little beach as well. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities we wanted. The bathroom was modern and luxurious, the bed comfy, and the kitchen/living space was a huge bonus. The staff were all wonderful and helpful. The resident dog, Ella, is an excellent host!

The pool does not have enough lounge chairs. 2 days in a row (once in the afternoon, the next day in the morning) I was unable to get a lounge chair and placed on a waitlist. Without a chair I was unable to order food or drink by the pool. I never did end up getting off the waitlist to get a chair after 90 minutes by the pool the first day. The second day I only had a short time window by the pool so did not get a chair then either.

Property was gorgeous. They are currently in the middle of a remodel of the spa but you really could not tell. Service was excellent. Very attentive staff. They also have multiple plug ins for electric vehicles.

The only complaint I have is that the drinks from the pool bar were awful!!!! We got mojitos and asked for extra mint. They had 3 mint leaves and just tasted of sour mix. I don’t mind if you charge me $20 for a drink, but it needs to be delicious. We poured them down the sink.

Staff - especially concierge he so kind and patient and tries to remember names. Then the older valet guys are amazing. Lastly the late night poolside gal was so sweet and helpful too. Mineral Pools and Location- are amazing, would like a tad hotter or option for one hotter. Room layout, firm beds, heated tiles, real creamer in fridge, qtips...you think of everything!!!

Pillows - would love mix of firm pillows and feather especially for us older folks w bad backs.( I asked for some in initial booking).

The restaurant was excellent. The mineral pools are fabulous and right on the water. The valet staff were exceptional. It’s in a lovely neighborhood, great for walking.

The partial water view room was overlooking the flat ugly roof of the building next door. We upgraded to a suite ( we needed 2 beds) and there was only a king and the pull out couch was unusable so we had to share one bed.

Loved the pool, beds were very comfortable, room was big, kitchen and available items were a nice touch. The snug is a lovely pub, great food. We dinned at the dining room and it was very good, great service. Front desk staff were nice.

RMT at the spa said to let her know if I wanted more or less pressure, when I did ask for more she kind of snapped at me and told me to wait and see, then asked if I had drank any alcohol that day. Where I understand where that line of questioning went it made me feel uncomfortable. We ate in the Snug and got crab cakes for lunch, then went to the dining room for dinner. Note to the chef, the Aamuse bouche was the exact same crab cake in a smaller form with the same sauce as lunch. Just a small thing to note to the chef since the dinner is quite pricy it was disappointing to have eaten something on the menu from the pub. The remainder of the dinner was fantastic though, it's only a note!

The king size room with ocean view had a fabulous large bathroom with double sinks, shower, bath and separate toilet suite. The mineral pools were amazing and the spa treatments were excellent! Staff were very friendly and we felt very well looked after here.

The only comment we had was that there could have been a bigger gym/fitness centre with more equipment and gym classes.

The welcome is lovely and the foyer spacious and comfortable. Our room faced the front entrance and was very comfortable, clean and nicely set out. The mineral pools are a joy, loved the fact they are open late and in all weather. It seemed everyone was enjoying a special moment of escapism after the build up to Christmas. The cocktails were amazing and the food in the snug was very good. The surrounding coastline is stunning so, as we were on foot, we loved exploring and had a wonderful time.

Lovely old style hotel at Oak Bay (a few miles from Victoria centre) Great views out to Sea over the islands to Washington State Hot pool swimming pools and hot tubs. Staff really nice Hotel very grand - with wooden panelling everywhere Lovely bar overlooking the sea

Parking is an additional fee ($25 per day) Pool and hot tuns busy in the afternoon and evenings, first thing in the morning is the best time if you want some space.
