Swans Brewery, Pub and Hotel is in a great position and just a short walk from the Seaplane terminal and places of interest. It's a few minutes walk to Downtown and the food and beverages downstairs in the pub were great. It's an older style of accommodation but that's why you get such a large spacious room, which was perfect for us. There's also a bottle shop next door for takeaway drinks if you like, and easy access to everything you could want to see in Victoria. We also did the 'Pickle Boat Pub Crawl' which was a hoot!

Being an old property the corridor smelt a bit musty, but the room was as clean as it could be, and we had a good two night stay in a comfy bed. Self-catering was a bonus and we would have used more of the facilities had our stay been longer.

The location is great. We stayed in a spacious if slightly gloomy suite that had all modern facilities (bathroom, kitchen etc). The building is Victorian and charming and the Swans Brewery Tap is a lively place to drink with a wide range of beverages. It very good value for the room size and location.

No air conditioning in the rooms (especially the bedrooms which are under a flat roof) was a major drawback in a heatwave with 28C daytime temperatures. The room looks onto an inner courtyard which makes it gloomy.

Extremely good location with interesting sights and lots of restaurants nearby. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very roomy room. Not your cookie cutter hotel which made it fun.

There is no air conditioning. On the upper floor where we stayed it was about 85 degrees. Luckily there were fans. We had a multi bedroom, full kitchen unit. The bedrooms were up a long, steep set of stairs. The bathroom was on the lower level. So getting up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night was not pleasant. I wish we had known it was set up this way. For some folks with any kind of mobility issues, this would have been undoable. I’m sure most of the other units were not set up this way with 2 levels.

Swans staff was very helpful. They provided a more comfortable cot when sofa bed wasn't usable due to sinking. They also stored luggage for us on last day after checkout. The living room is large, airy, with high ceilings and comfy furniture (sofa, armchair, writing desk, dining table w chairs). Full kitchen is great and basic coffee/tea, creamer, sugar provided with dishes, cutlery, pots n pans.

The sofa bed was not usable as the mattress was very uncomfortable and sunk when a smaller person tried to sleep on it. Mgt provided a comfy cot the following day which was great. No view - window/door to inner bldg outside patio. Can see into other rooms. The little courtyard is fine but needs lots of plants and comfy chairs/ table to create attractive atmosphere and add privacy, if you want to keep doors/windows open. Still the patio could be a big bonus for families with kids or animals.

This was a nice surprise- the room was big with a full kitchen, couch and a balcony overlooking the harbor. The location was ideal! Every type of restaurant you could think of, all the shops on Government Street, Chinatown, and the Harbor within minutes. Had lunch at the Pub and the food and beer was great!

The room is right over the Pub, so we did hear music until closing. It is a busy street, so there was lots of activity going on. In warmer weather it would be great to open the balcony windows but I think it would be too noisy.

Enjoyed my stay at Swans, had an incredibly generous sized room that was more like a two bedroom house ! There was a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, comfy couch and Tv and two bedrooms upstairs, kitted out with TVs and fans. So very easy to feel at home. And a great machine to make a decent drip coffee in the morning.

Room was a bit dated but that doesn’t bother me

Excellent location. Walkable to everything downtown. Spacious loft space. No AC but good ceiling fan as well as floor fan provided. If you get rooms 211, 209, 207 or 205 you have an amazing view of the inlet with a charming balconette. Noise from the pub was barely registered and we were on the second floor so right above.

Wifi was spotty and didn't want to connect. Shower head is low and pressure isn't great but lots of hot water. Pillows could be improved.

The hotel is older, well maintained, cozy, clean with a beautiful view of the harbor and a busy street. We people watched from our room it was fun. The sweet was very comfortable we had a kitchenette High ceilings it was great very roomy. For the price this was a great deal We parked the car the whole time we were there and walked around Victoria and never touched our car once until we left. We had a great time the pub was also good. We found lots of stores and other restaurants we had a great time the staff at the hotel we're very pleasant and knowledgeable. We will be back most definitely

There was nothing we really didn't like about it.

Excellent location, super friendly staff and very clean and spacious rooms. We stayed at a 2 bedroom suite, it has a functional kitchen with everything you may need to have breakfast or a light meal. The shower and matresses were very good as well.

Due to its location it´s difficult to park in the nearby area and all the parking is paid. No parking in the hotel premises. The suite was offered for six people but there were only 5 chairs, a small detail to consider. The bathroom is in the main floor of the suite but the bedrooms are in the second floor of the suite because it´s a two floor suite.

Excellent location (if you are aware of and not terrified by Downtown Victoria’s issues), large comfortable room with excellent kitchen, helpful and friendly staff.

It does appear to be a tiny staff, however, and no one was at the desk when I arrived and no one answered the phone. Had to wait about an hour to check in; however, the Pub downstairs is a perfectly fine place to wait. Staff was apologetic and helpful when we finally found each other.
