A great place to stay. A nice walk to Queen Street along quiet residential streets. The host Alan was amazing. He was a Friendly and a pleasant conversationalist, ready to confirm the day’s weather and offer options for sightseeing.

The property was great. The neighbourhood while pleasant, being in the old part of town did lack sidewalks at street lamps on a few streets. Our fall visit had us walking in the dark in a couple of spots. If you have a headlamp or flashlight bring it for fall visits

Allen and his mother-in-law Nancy were the perfect hosts. The breakfasts were excellent. There were lots of lovely touches from soda cans and water bottles available in a communal fridge to very nice quality toilet paper in the bathroom. Allen answered my questions prior to arrival very quickly.

The only criticism was a loose door knob in the bedroom closet and a dodgy light switch on the bedside lamp; Queens Room'. Easily fixable.

We had a fantastic stay at Abacot Hall. About a 20 minute walk from the property to Niagara on the Lake. Jackie and Alan were awesome hosts. Even one of our mornings when chef Alan was not able to make us breakfast, they gave us a gift card to make sure we could go somewhere for it. Absolutely would recommend to anyone wanting an authentic B and B with excellent hosts.

Great location. Easy walk or bike ride to downtown. The house and grounds are meticulously maintained. The house is in a very quiet area and there’s a great deck outside to chill out and have a glass of wine. The breakfast was homemade and exceptionally good.

The room was just a little warm for our tastes, but I’m sure they would’ve made adjustments had we asked. We simply opened a window and it was fine.

Lovely landscaping, clean property, quiet backyard with deck, delicious breakfast. Accommodated dietary restrictions really well (celiac). Location was great for getting in a good 15-20 min walk to town through pretty neighborhoods.

The one thing that comes to mind is the aroma from a plug-in that was bothersome to us. In all fairness, we did not mention it when we were on site. It would not keep us from returning and I would probably say something if it was an issue. The owners were so accommodating.

Nice old style property about a 15 minute walk into Niagara on the Lake and 30 minute drive from Niagara Falls. Breakfasts were freshly cooked with fruit & yoghurt to start. Nice bread, & jams with proper butter. Guest fridge on the 1st floor with tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary water & soft drinks which was a nice touch.

Abacot Hall is a very well maintained property well located at the entrance to the historic district of Niagara on the Lake. NOL is one of the prettiest towns in Canada with many attractions. Our room at Abacot Hall was very comfortable and the hospitality offered was incomparable. Breakfasts are a pleasure.

Allen and Jackie are wonderful hosts and the property is lovely. We had a wonderful time on NOTL! Some of the positive aspects include that the owners are friendly and accommodating, the breakfasts are excellent, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is a 20 minute walk to the city center of NOTL, so if your plan is to go to restaurants and walk in the city center every day, you need to be aware of that.

We loved the Albacott and look forward to staying there again sometime. The owners are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and cozy. We especially loved hanging on the back deck overlooking the beautiful yard. Very quiet. Parking available. No problem. Breakfast was wonderful. About a 15 minute hike to Queen St if you don't want to drive and park. We loved The Sandtrap restaurant and pub that was Very close, inexpensive and casual. Food and atmosphere was great. It was about a 2 block walk without having to go into town and pay tourist prices. We look forward to another stay at the Albacott!
