The hotel is very contemporary and beautifully equipped. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent, although we would advise an early start during the summer vacation months to avoid waits. The location was good, being a short 10-15 mins walk to Parliament hill. The parking is subterranean and very convenient for the hotel by lift. There are plenty of restaurants locally but also on site options too. The pool is great and the gym is well stocked. The room we stayed in was well stocked with kitchenette. The room rate was very reasonable for what was on offer.

The location worked fine for us, we are live in a larger city and found Ottawa downtown core to be quite compact. There are a number of restaurants within waking distance. And an Uber to museums cost about 6-8 dollars. For parking, it is in and out, but the entrance ramp down and parking spaces are tight... even with a sedan; for full size suv and trucks there's no way they would fit. The room was quite large. We bought our own pack n play for our LO and was able to leave it up in the kitchen area and there was still a lot of space to walk around. The kitchen came in handy to store drinks and food, microwave worked fine to reheat takeout. The room was clean. The TV worked fine, they had disney Jr and another Disney Channel which was a big plus. Only issue was that the toilet did not refill water properly, so we had to lift the lid and fix it everytime. The free breakfast was good to have. Nice to not have to think about making something in the morning. The swimming pool was a nice size. Our LO just loved going in it. Cold at first but was fine afterwards.

While we liked the breakfast option, we found that some of the food was so-so. Eggs (? Powder) usually needed more salt... sometimes the milk for the cereal tastes funny. Overnight oats consistency was different everyday. But overall, we still appreciated it.

My only negative comment is it seems that the coffee and tea service at breakfast was done away with. Last year, you would arrive at your table and staff would ask if you wanted coffee or tea, In which case an urn of coffee or a pot of tea was brought to your table. This year, there was a station. Tea was hot water in a cup. While gone to get my tea, someone took my table and moved the items I left in place to indicate the seat was taken. This would not have happened if we had the tea and coffee service...............

The cost of parking being charged daily. I had to call twice to get bedsheets for the sofa bed. Cover/blanket for sofa bed wasn’t comfortable at all! Sorry The sofa bed itself wasn’t comfortable at all. Maybe for a small and child, but not for a teenager. A bit of noise coming from construction going on around, but not your fault!

Staff at breakfast were fantastic. Very friendly and informative. Stayed for a week so it was nice to see them and they recognized me each morning. The King Studio Suite was spacious and great for a longer stay with the fridge and seating area.

Each morning as I left for meetings and approached the lobby, some of the staff just stared at their computers and didn’t acknowledge people going by- even with just a smile. Particularly one taller male with blonde hair seemed to be non-engaged with guests.

This was our first visit to Ottawa and the hotel is in a good location to access all the city has to offer. All the main attractions were a pretty easy 15 to 20 minute walk away and we quite liked the quieter nature of the area we were staying. Room was really large with good a/c, a kitchen, fridge freezer etc. We had a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs and we did eat there on a couple of occasions and we thought it was good food at a reasonable price. Breakfast was very good quality with lots of choice although inevitably it could get a bit busy at peak times. Overall the hotel was very clean and tidy. Would definitely stay here again.

Room wasn't cleaned as often as we expected during our eight day stay and the bed linen was not changed at all but these are very minor quibbles and did not detract from our overall stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, helped by being given an upgrade which saw us staying in a suite, rather than the standard room we'd booked. The suite was large and comfortable and was also quiet. There was a wide selection of items available for breakfast, and we were pleased to see that food was mainly served on proper plates and drinks in proper cups that could be washed and reused, rather than the disposable items that some hotels use when they serve buffet breakfasts.

The staff were very friendly and recognised us as repeat guests. It was good that decaffeinated coffee and tea was readily available. Pastries and baked goods provided were tasty Dinner in the bar was very good, service excellent and staff super friendly and customer orientated. Hotel room was excellent for someone requiring assistance. The pool and laundry facilities were an added benefit for length of our stay. All the staff could not have done more to assist with our stay.

We had the buffet although we were not aware that there was an ala carte menu which would have been nice. Would have liked more choice on hot buffet and overall more continental style options with cheese, cold meats would have made it a better experience. More choice of coffees would have been an added benefit.

Walking distance to everything. Nice rooms. Pet friendly. Clean!

1. The pool water was very cold. 2. Buffet breakfast - waffle maker station and more specifically the batter dispenser clogs and takes forever to get the batter in the cup to make a waffle. Waffles are a great option to have but please find a way to dispense the batter in more efficient way to avoid the long lines of frustrated people forming in front of the station.

Breakfast was basic, not even worth $25. It was too busy and there was a wait time to get in. I was not aware during time of booking that there would be a $70 per cleaning fee. I paid it to avoid the hassle of discussion though we only stayed one night. The hotel needs to be more upfront with fees like this.
