Everything was fine I have no complaints except for 1
My first night I cam home only to find 2 people sleeping in my bed I didn't know what to do or where I was going to sleep that night and since it was 2 30 in the am there was no one to contact thank God there was an empty bed in the room and was able to sleep. I would recommend that you have a phone number for a contact person in case something happens after hours

Facilities were diverse and plentiful, with a funky cafe which morphed into an evening cocktail bar and live jazz lounge. Also a large common area, including an outdoor section, laundry and showers, etc. Rooms were not overcrowded.and pleasant, although a bit stuffy for lack of ventilation. Skylight allowed early morning light into the room, not a useful thing in my opinion.
For the high price of a bed, they could have been better equipped; say with curtains, a light, a shelf of some kind for personal stuff. I spent a few months recently in Spain and France, and I thought those countries were expensive..., but The Only in Toronto had them all beat. Not the greatest value, in my experience.

The friendliness, the vibe, the generosity, the music, the inexpensive drinks, the bar, the live music, the otherworldiness. It's such a unique experience in Toronto, where the soul seems to have been ripped out of the city. I would recommend it to anyone passing through, young or old.
The AC in the room, the lack of toilets by our room (one was out of order). There could be a bit of work done on the smell and a few green plants would be welcome. But still great value for money!

Loved the fact that it's so hippy and a great opportunity for a lot of young people to meet as well as all the cool stuff that's just lying around like movies, books, a guitar and a piano,... The live jazz band was an amazing experience. It's fairly clean and there's plenty of showers and toilets for everyone to use.
Would've liked a better selection of books hanging around. More instruments would maybe be really cool as well. The breakfast could use a few more choices, not sure if I could've just used the kitchen myself but stuff like boiled eggs, sliced ham, cheese maybe, nothing that takes too much time and can be easily done in bulk for everyone to have some. The door in my room as well the ladder to the upper bed made loud noises which is a bit annoying in the evening when you're trying not to wake up the rest of the people.

Such a cool place, so much space to hang out and meet other travellers. There was a real mix of people, of different ages and interests. The bar and cafe are really nice places, with live music at the weekend. The dorm was great, comfy bed and quiet. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. I wanted to stay here longer, was there for 3 nights. The location was great, 1 hour walk into centre of downtown and lots of places to eat nearby in the Greek quarter. The subway to the airport is just around the corner. Breakfast was perfect in a big kitchen with space. The chillout room in the basement was also fab. Loads of showers, clean place and feels really safe and secure.
I wish I had more than 3 nights here!

Excellent staff that went out of their way to check me into my room even though my flight was delayed which put me at the hotel after check-in hours. I booked a private, double room with shared bathroom and the description online was exactly what I got. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. There was also a stocked kitchen in the shared area, but I was not there long enough to require the use of the kitchen. However, the entire place was clean and quiet for a relaxing nights rest.
I have no complaints about my stay at The Only Backpacker's Inn. The downstairs area is attached to a bar/pub which is open late and could be a bit loud for some people, but I had no issues and the beers were great and reasonably priced.

A quiet room, where people can work.
on the page of the hostel in booking.com it is written that all the necessary products for breakfast will be provided. But it was only poor limited choice. If you will come not at 8, but at 8.30 or 9.00 am, you will be able to eat dry corn flakes only!

The staff are very kind! I felt very welcomed. Even though I arrived before the check in time they let me use the washroom and store my luggage. The hostel is not near downtown but at least is very near a metro station, so it is easy to move around. I booked a private room, and it was good, there was only another private room next to ours so we only shared the bathroom with another 2 people. I don’t know about the other rooms, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem as good as the one I was, the building is old and kinda weird, we had to leave the building we were to go to where the kitchen is. But overall I recommend this Hostel.

Excellent location, steps away from subway line 2.
Bed is old and wobbling. I sank into the mattress as it is really too old. My bed was under a dormer window, which is weird! Sunlight wake me up at 6 am every morning! Too little number of toilet and shower room to share with such a large number of people. Free breakfast is ignorable.

Super close to the subway. Nice equipped kitchen. Good amenities overall. Room was comfy, with plenty of space for 4 people, and the duvet provided was warm enough (fleece-lined) for the cold temperatures. Linen and towel were all provided. There was a hair dryer available for use.
Room had a skylight that let sunlight into the room early in the mornings. Bathroom showers were very small, and there weren't a lot of stalls. Had to walk out in the cold to go from room to kitchen and other shared spaces.
