It was very cozy and private. It was not fancy or typical but was exactly what I expected from its description and I really enjoyed my stay. I was lucky that they were able to accommodate my early check-in which was a massive help to my trip. I was surprised by how little noise there was. There were other people there but for how old the house was I thought people moving around would be much louder. The location is excellent too, the street is very quiet and within easy walking distance to several coffee and breakfast places.

That I was only there for 1 night.

The room had everything I needed and the location was great too.

Wish it had a place for storing luggage after checkin out.

My second visit here; great location and building for the price. I had a third floor room this time and it was quite spacious with a full bathtub instead of just a shower, but I think due to the nature of the building all rooms are different (I was on the first floor before and it was much smaller, but still pleasant). Despite it being downtown Toronto, the location is actually quite quiet and peaceful as it’s on a residential side street off of Church St. Very close to Wellesley subway station.

Lots of stairs with no elevator, but they do mention this on the listing. Thankfully it was no issue for me (it was just tiring after a night out lol), but I can see this being a dealbreaker for many people.

I booked the studio room, its big. The bed is very confortable. We have a sofa, and a complete kitchen with microwave, freeze, toast, electric jab and a mini hitten. It is ubícated close a metro and between 2 Ave. In the corner it has a mini market open 24hs.

Bad Wi Fi signal in the 3rd floor room. The electricity does not work well, you cannot turn on the microwave with the hair dryer, it could cause lighting problems. The bathroom was not very clean, nor under the bed or the sofa. It said it had coffee and tea available but there wasn't any. The person at the reception is not there so you have to find him by calling from the door phone because the one in the room did not work. It is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Location perfect for anyone who is focusing their trip on the village/church street area, couldn't be better.

There are warning signs about the electrics, i.e. don't use too many appliances together, which is understandable considering it is a heritage building and so they are limited in the upgrades they can perform. However, it was worrying that one of the sockets had no faceplate whatsoever and the main one that was used by guests beside the bed had a faceplate held in place by a screw which didn't actually screw tight into the socket! Other bits and pieces could do with a little TLC as well, coat hooks missing from the brackets behind the door, paintwork scuffed, but overall comfortable and clean

Staff was friendly. Loved the old world charm! Room was VERY clean. Bed & pillow was very comfortable. I was in room 22 which had a little window which you could open and have fresh air. "kitchenette" was great! Microwave, fridge with little freezer, coffee maker, plates, cups, utensils were very appreciated. Bathroom/shower/tub was great! Great water pressure/shower head and lots of Hot water! Loved the wall paint in the room, was very soothing after a long fun day of exploring the city. Felt like a nice escape from the bustle of the city. Surprisingly quiet especially at night. Location was great. Felt very safe. You need a door code and a key to get into the building in addition to your room key; felt very safe and secure. Perfect location for exploring the city. Church St was so cute and fabulous! For those who love a good Fabric store...check out Fabric Land which is in walking distance...although fair warning, you may need to buy an extra suitcase to get home ;-) Will definitely stay here next time I am in Toronto!!

Loved everything! Even the walkup two flights of stairs to get up to the top floor (room 22). Although, getting the extra suitcase down the stairs took a little extra time. But totally worth it!!

Good location. Close to train and Rexall drug for water . Plenty of restaurants. The double room was a walk up on 3rd floor with luggage and nice surprise it had its own bathroom., fridge and microwave with dish soap, mug, coffee maker. It has an extra fold out bed in addition to twin. That was very convenient. It would be a bit tight with 2 people due to slanted ceiling but it is doable. It was secure with 2 doors to enter the building . There seemed to be residents who lived there also.

A bit small room but for 1 person it’s ok. Park nearby had some homeless but it was not on way to train station

Great little place downtown Toronto! Room was very small but still felt comfortable, and there was a distinctive charm to the building. Location is very close to Wellesley station (you can go down Gloucester St, go south through the park, and the entrance is across the street). Definitely exceeded my expectations as I have stayed much worse places for similar or higher prices downtown before. Will definitely be returning for when I need to stay downtown!! Old-fashioned building mean you need to set your expectations accordingly -- you will have to be a bit careful with the outlets/appliances and lock your own door behind you when leaving. However I didn't really have any issues while I was there.

I ended up having to leave earlier than anticipated and trying to slip my key into the key drop was a bit awkward as it's behind a shutter. Not quite sure if there was a better alternative but it was early in the morning, so had to make it work...

My stay at Victoria's Mansion was beyond everything I could've asked for and more...with its ideally situated location, to all transportation, restaurants, bars, shops...everything within walking distance...I didn't go with big expectations and for that...it was exceeded. From clean comfortable room and bathroom, nice linens and towels all made for a wonderful stay...the room was well equipped with all the amenities I appreciate in an accommodation...the charm of both the interior and exterior and my favorite time period of the 1800's...I enjoyed it all...it felt warm and inviting and staff so welcoming and friendly..special mentioned Ellsie at front desk always so accommodating with a pleasant smile. This accommodation is definitely good value for downtown Toronto and would have guests returning time and time again, you definitely has a repeat guest in me...highly recommend!

I love and appreciate everything at this accommodation, to prospective guests...please respect the house rules and follow all guidelines...don't go with 5 star Ritz-Carlton expectations...it's a Victorian Era house with lots of charm, and that's the intention...with a few modern day fixes like a microwave and coffee maker, just don't run them all at the same time, because it probably still runs on that time period wiring.

I loved the cleanliness! Wow! Even the sheets and towels smelt good. My little room (I was in a single) was comfortable and cute, had everything I needed, the bathroom was large and the shower was lovely. There was supplied cutlery and corkscrews etc. something I wasn’t expecting, as well as a microwave and fridge.The young woman who checked me in was warm and welcoming. Some people might not like the neighborhood (it is smack dab in the middle of the ‘gay village’) I loved it, felt very comfortable and safe, It’s obvious that the people who live here are eclectic and inclusive, kind and supportive and I’ll stay here again when I am back in Toronto. The property is close to public transport (the streetcar and subway which take you to Union station quickly and easily). Wonderful Victorian house that has beautiful character without sacrificing cleanliness and comfort.

I personally didn’t require parking but if you are driving and need parking it could be an issue - check with the hotel to see if you can reserve a spot in the back.
