Breakfast was fairly okay. Unfortunately at times the toaster doesn’t work properly. The waiters at times forget to put some of the cutlery on the table. The bacon is always cold or runs out and is not refilled

When I booked with Booking.com, the cost included breakfast. But when we checked in, we were advised that the booking didn’t include breakfast. I was disappointed . The cups and glasses are not cleaned properly. They always have a terrible odour. I found it difficult drinking tea from your dirty cups and drinking from your glasses made me to feel like throwing up . When I raised it with your waiter, he didn’t like that feedback and was angry with me , but I stood my ground. He later on reluctantly changed my tea cup . I stayed at your hotel for 14 days and I expected the restaurant staff to be of good experience and character.

There were a couple of initial issues checking in and with the room that were disappointing but the manager Jem was very professional and looked after things which we were appreciative of. This is a historic and very beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The lobby is stunning, particularly at Christmas time. This hotel is therefore popular with locals and tourists alike and the bars/ restaurants can get very busy. In my experience I’d recommend booking all meals in advance. The library bar did amazing cocktails and the wine bar is lovely too, this area also serves as a nice cosy spot for coffee and breakfast in the morning. The room was very comfortable, with a view of the CN tower. One of the room attendants, Dino was very friendly and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Union station is right across the street, the subway is really easy to use, clean and inexpensive to get around the city. You’re also just a short walk away from the lake.

The hotel would benefit from opening an additional seating lounge, perhaps this would just be required at busy times for the hotel or an area reserved solely for hotel guests. When you’re a guest at a hotel you don’t expect to be turned away from the bar/ restaurant areas due to capacity constraints. There were some inconsistencies with the courtesy displayed and professionalism of staff members. I appreciate this is a very large hotel but at times it seemed like for a hotel of this calibre the overall management could have been better.

I have loved the Royal York since my first visit in 1964. This time I stayed from Tuesday til Sunday. I had a comfortable room (should have asked for a walk in shower) and got a great response re the stuck closet doors. The food is exquisite, the drinks, too. And the service is supreme! I looked at the ceiling over the foyer and the Clockworks bar for the first time - amazing! I’ll be back.

The bathrooms are a bit snug and I took sponge baths this time as I forgot to ask for a walk in shower. But that is my only complaint - I could have asked for a new room but I didn’t.

Breakfast was phenomenal,staff was exceptionally helpful! Perfect location for our intentions and proximity to the main purpose for our trip. Very accommodating to our needs when we arrived prior to actual check in.took care of our bag and messaged us when the room was ready and our bag was awaiting us in the room. I don’t think we really took advantage of all the imeneties but also didn’t take advantage of asking. My bad

Not much in your control really. A better view but being on the 14th floor I really shouldn’t expect more.the city has just grown around you. I didn’t ask what was included in the package for our stay I fear that I made a poor choice for an overnight stay. Would I make the same choice again? Very likely but maybe for a less expensive room.

The staff were excellent without exception. Such a historic building to stay in, very comfortable and very convenient! I asked for a lake view and I got one, a lovely view facing the front. Very nice gym (s) too. Lovely bars, although rather too busy post-Xmas / New Year period.

The walls are a bit thin so I heard children, dogs, cleaners, other guests. Check in took about an hour, but that's because everyone wants to stay in such a historic hotel, I guess. The steam room was disappointing, way too small and you have to operate it yourself, which I wasn't expecting.

Absolutely exceptional service – a true luxury experience! I had the most amazing stay at the Fairmont. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was beyond anything I expected. I simply mentioned that I was on my honeymoon, and without asking for anything, they upgraded me to a Gold room, brought chocolate-covered strawberries to my room with a bowl of fruits and wine and shared all the best tips to make our stay unforgettable. They even allowed me to check in super early — around 7 AM — which was such a lifesaver after a long flight. Shortly after settling in, they called just to make sure everything was perfect with the room. It’s the little thoughtful touches like these that made the entire experience feel so luxurious and special. Honestly, 10/10 — I’d go back in a heartbeat just for the service alone.

The location is perfect if you're travelling by train to Toronto. The hotel is literally across the street. Union station is also a subway stop so perfect to get around the city. Many great restaurants nearby. The rogers centre/ripleys aquarium is no more than a 10 minute walk away. The staff were 11/10 and were very helpful. They have a luggage storage room where you can drop off your bags and receive a ticket to collect it later.

The reputation of Fairmont hotels speaks for itself; however, I was very surprised with how outdated the pool was. Our rooms we're also a little outdated as well. I'm not sure if maybe half the hotel is renovated and the other half isn't.

The hotel room exceeded our expectations with two bathrooms and a generously sized sitting area. The hotel staff were friendly and quick to assist. We inadvertently left walking sticks behind in the room and they were put aside for us to pick up with communications to so advise. Our luggage was stored for us for many hours…again, with friendly and welcoming service. The staff at Reign exceeded…from our multiple communications to change reservation details, to the superlative table service with a very knowledgeable server re wine and the food. If I recall correctly, our server’s name was Priscilla and she went above and beyond. The dishes were excellent. Breakfast service was also very good!

The dinner service was excellent but it was very slow. I am not sure if that was because of the kitchen or wait staff. We did not mind as our plans were relaxed but it could have been problematic. Lighting is always an issue in hotel rooms for me. It was great to have several lamps to illuminate but one was temperamental.

I greatly appreciate that staffing took the initiative to send me a birthday gift of chocolate covered strawberries which far exceeded my expectations. I mentioned the noise level of the guests in the room next to mine and the kind man delivering the birthday treats kindly explained the remedy for resolution.

Being a traveller with non-visual disabilities that i do not hesitate to mention when asked to perform physical labour - it would have been nice to not be asked to carry my bag to another location for storage because I arrived early. I got the feeling that some male staffers at concierge would rather not be doing their jobs which is incredibly frustrating and inconsistent with your company image and pricing .

Centrally located, maybe not the best area of the city it but wasn't bad. In front of Union station. Horton's right around the corner for early morning breakfast/coffee. Covered self-parking was around 25(?)/day with direct access to hotel (piper st alley (hard to find) or via wellington). Steak was really good.

Dead roach in room, and the housekeeper missed it every time... Yea I could have mentioned it but wanted to see how well they cleaned. Coffee machine was broken but was replaced on day 2. Desserts were 'fine' and a little on the small side. Burger was 'ok'. Internet access is expensive (two tiers, first one was fine), it should be standard for what this place costs. Valet parking is expensive so do homework on the parking garage on Wellington. I am all for splurging at a Luxury hotel, but little things need improvements.
