A very nice and conveniently located hotel; certainly a good choice for exploring the university area and museums of Toronto. The room was spacious and mine also had a nice view (for which I payed a bit extra, I think). The bathroom was fantastic, and the bed super comfortable. I had booked a rate including breakfast, and the pancakes and avocado toast in particular were delicious. One should just be aware that the rate includes a maximum of 30 CAD per person; so, if one selects a regular item from the menu + juice + coffee, one will likely exceed the 30 CAD (which didn't bother me). The staff was exceptionally friendly and charming - both the room service and at breakfast.

Nothing really ... only one minor detail: it was only on the last day that the waiter at breakfast drew my attention to the fact that there actually is a breakfast choice for exactly 30 CAD on the menu that includes everything. Admittedly, it may have been a bit clumsy of me to have overlooked it the first three mornings, but maybe the staff could always point this out explicitly to the guests.

The beds were especially comfortable! The reservation desk staff were helpful. We especially enjoyed having Eden serve our breakfast on most of the days of our trip; she was delightful! The breakfast menu offered a great variety of filling meals. The convenient location to public transit and locations of interest was especially appreciated.

Our room had a somewhat shaded view of the outside, so there was not a lot of natural light coming into the room. The various table lamps did not provide as much light throughout the room as we would have preferred at night.

I really like the hotel, but I wasn't happy with the tipping expectation at the complimentary breakfast. Technically, it's optional, but the staff make it quite clear that tips are expected, which felt a bit uncomfortable.

Great location for visiting UToronto: right next to campus so everything in walking distance without the need for local transportation. Arrived significantly earlier than expected and was able to check in immediately, which was great after a long travel. The hotel is close to several restaurant areas, so plenty of options.

The bill is very complex: several fees added to the bill, some of these fees are on top of fees, and then the sales tax is added on the basis, on the fees, and on the fees over fees. This caused a migraine for my organization's travel reimbursement software.

The location of this hotel is perfect! I loved the Yorkville neighbourhood, and it is easy to get to downtown Toronto either via cab or metro. The room was luxurious and had everything we needed - we got an upgrade to a city view room and had breathtaking views of Toronto tower and the Royal Ontario Museum. Breakfast was a la carte and very tasty!

The queues for breakfast were a bit long so there were days we had to wait 10min to be seated. The fact that when we booked breakfast was written as being included but then the hotel gives you a spending limit of 30 CAD per person seemed a bit cheeky. We ended up paying service charge for breakfast most days as with this included we exceeded the 30 CAD per person. Not a deal breaker, but could be easily increased to 40 CAD by the hotel which would make the experience more seamless for guests.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel. This was my first trip abroad in many years and they made it so comfortable. Location was fantastic with easy access to public transit. Our room was clean, had a nice view and was spacious. Our linens were super soft and smelled absolutely lovely. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful all along the way. We used the sauna and heated pool, it was delightful after a long day in the cold. I ordered room service one evening, the kindness of the staff when they brought me my dinner was out of this world. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

Great hotel, great location, great room. Nicely renovated. Excellent storage both in the room and in the bathroom. We enjoyed it very much.

The room was pretty dark due to the angled window. Breakfast is good but expensive. The parking garage used by the hotel is public, so the elevator and stairwell had some issues with unhoused people. The garage itself is well lit and clean though, just the hallway and elevator were problematic. This particular weekend the room rates were very expensive, I believe usually they are expensive, but more in line with general Toronto expenses.

- Check-in was very slow. There seemed to be an issue with the payment which was handled via booking.com and didn't show up in the hotel's own system. Lady working at the check-in was very polite, but seemed to be a little overwhelmed with the situation. In the end it got resolved by someone else, but it took at least 15 minutes.

Location is very good, I used to live and work in TO, so I am familiar with the area and that’s why I picked this hotel. Years ago I stayed at the same building when it was called Intercontinental. My room was very comfortable and clean. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly and efficient.

Unfortunately, the kitchen/food did not meet the standards/quality you might expect from a five star hotel. I had breakfast almost every morning, a few dinners at the bar and 3 dinners served in the room. At one time I was served stale baked potato,(in room service) it tasted like rubber, I was hungry so I wanted to eat it no matter what, but it really was horrible. It must have been a left over, or reheated several times. Also at breakfast - again stale potatoes - home fries served/reheated, tasted like they were perhaps left overs from the previous morning. How can one go wrong with potatoes? Gave me the impression that perhaps the kitchen was trying to cut down the expenses, so why waste the excess amount, just reheat and serve them the next morning.

Great rooms. Great breakfast and bar. Small but pleasant fitness. Very kind staff overall.

I did not appreciate the fact that I was locked out of my room in spite of having been given late checkout on departure day, at the time of checking in. When you are in fitness gear and want to get into your room, the room key should work. The excuse at reception that I should have come with my room key the day of check out to reload the key for a late checkout time is absurd, whether or not this is how the system works… It would actually be worse if this is hotel policy and guests are not told this in advance. If not for this incident, it would have been a 10.
