The good: The included breakfast was actually sufficient. They offer a variety of cereals, toast spreads, beverage options, and fruits to choose from. It was enough to give us the energy to visit and climb Mount Royal and walk back downtown for lunch. The room was clean and decent, with cable TV and free wifi. There were enough towels, travel-sized shampoo, body gel, facial tissue, and toilet paper. There's no AC but the thermostat is adjusted to a decent temperature. The lobby has a water dispenser, so if you intend to walk a lot, you can refill your bottle there before leaving. Also, the location is close to Chinatown, a block from Complexe Desjardins, a sneeze away from the Pool Room if you want cheap snacks, and right across a food hub. You're not gonna run out of places to eat around from.

Since the place IS smack in the middle of downtown, the area is surrounded by all sorts of... characters. There is an adult shop on the ground floor but it isn't too much of a trouble for us but might be of concern for some people. Some rooms are right next to the road, so the windows don't guarantee they will block the noise from outside (especially with the food hall across the street blasting music all day long). Some loud grunts can be heard through the walls but could be drowned out by the TV. Also, my spouse is pretty tall and had to fold his legs a bit to fit.

Great location, easy to reach the bus to the airport and great entertainment and dining options within just 2 minutes--and you can enter the underground city from the nearby Complexe Desjardins. The personnel were very friendly and helpful, allowing me to store my luggage after checkout. The room I had was extremely clean, spacious, and comfortable. Didn't hear any noise at night, and only a few voices here and there as people checked in and out. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Montréal!

Great value, I just stayed for one night after a concert at MTELUS and it was literally a two minute walk from the venue. In the morning, I had a quick breakfast, toast and cereal, and walked over to the bus station which was about a 15 minute walk away.

Room windows didn't block any of the noise from outside so it was a bit loud however if you fall asleep easily like myself, its not that big of a deal.

Excellent location, very close to everything: downtown, Old Montreal, Old Port, metro stations, bus stops, and a lot of stores around. The room was small but enough, heating worked ok and the bathroom was good.

The fire alarm had a false alarm for 30 minutes, and the staff didn't tell us if everything was ok or if it was a false alarm. They should communicate this kind of events, I was about to evacuate and they just stood there in the lobby.

I really like the price-value ration, it was a bargain I paid for this hotel. It is a standard 3star-ish hotel. The airport transfer bus just stops around the corner, easily and safely accessible from the airport 24/7. The neighborhood is a bit of party quarter what makes a bit shady, but I never felt unsafe. In the heart of the city, so so would say the location is perfect for a quick stay.

The blanket was a bit too thin when it became -16c.

Loved the location that's right in the middle of Saint Laurent boulevard & Place des Festivals, with super easy access to other parts of the city by walking or metro 5 mins away. The building is old but adds to the charm of the place. There was lots of shared bathrooms on each floors so wasn't hard to shower or use the bathroom when needed. Free breakfast included & staff was very nice. Would totally stay here again for future stays :) !

The rooms could have been cleaner & the pillows could be more comfortable but you pay for the price.

I really liked the hostel. It was much cheaper than the average hotel in Montreal. I was expecting a very simple place. The hotel is indeed, simple, but it's very comfortable. The fact that we can get a single room with individual toilet is quite commendable. The room is not exactly spacious, but it has everything that I needed: nice bed and good shower. The place was pretty clean, and there was a table that I could use to work. Given the price that I paid, I really think I got a nice place to stay.

Well, there was one night when I arrived late (not that late: it was about 10:30pm) and there was nobody to open the door. I think the guy who was working there had gone to the toiled or something like that. And there was one night when the fire alarm went off. It was like 3am and everyone had to wake up.

The location of the hotel is very good. You can walk around and find many restaurants and bars. It is also very close to all the tourist attractions in downtown. The apartment seems not that clean but the price is cheap so I do not complain too much about that. Overall, it is a good choice for young students travelers.

The air-conditioner in the room is quite noisy.

Quite noisy (especially in my room you can hear the drain non stop), very creaky floors. not for soft sleepers. Soap dispenser in toilet/shower was broken or empty during whole stay.

Great value for the money, the place is nothing fancy, so do not expect a 5 star hotel, but the staff was super nice and the room was comfortable. We had shared toilette and they were surprisingly clean. The location of the hotel is amazing if you wish to visit downtown Montreal and be close to everything else.

We paid 80 $ for the night which was acceptable, but I wouldn't pay more then a 100 a night for this hotel.
