The staff is excellent and very attentive to you, the room always smells good, I liked it a lot.

My room was great, super comfortable, clean and very pleasant. But I didn't like that from time to time there was noise from outside that bothered me and this is because I am extremely sensitive to sounds, my hearing is very good, and at night it increases. And I think the other thing I didn't like was that sometimes I lost the internet signal, I feel that it is more of a problem with the internet provider company, because the staff also suffered when that happened to them, but it was nothing to die for, unless you are extremely someone who requires internet 24/7 you would be going crazy. But the truth is that I did enjoy the stay.

The staff is welcoming and willing to help. The location is very convenient, with shops, restaurants, public transportation being really close and easy to get to, close to downtown and old town in a walking distance. Despite a theatre located nearby and the street being super-crowded and noisy (presumably because of the Francos festival taking place there at the time of our stay), our room was mostly quiet and we had no troubles falling asleep. Also, it was +35C during our visit, and having an A/C saved us!

Wasn't a big deal for us, but if you're traveling with a family (especially with kids), this might be not the best fit for you as the street is quite popular with loud groups and homeless people.

Everything in the room was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable. The room was spacious our son had a fun time walking and crawling around. It was right next door to the Mtelus theatre which was very very convenient after I attened a concert there.

The elevator was small and the entrance to the hotel is not exactly stroller friendly. The hotel is not sound or scent proof. All night we could hear people yelling and vehicle sounds from the street below. We could also smell various foods being cooked at nearby restaurants. No towel hooks in the bathroom

The facility/room was extremely clean and comfortable, everything was great:) The communal bathrooms were spotless too.

Only suggestion is that there’s no sign saying the name of the hotel. Or at least I couldn’t see it… but i found it eventually :)

Excellent value for money - I was staying there during an exhibition event in Montreal and didn't want to pay too much, while still staying in a.clean and comfy hotel : this place exactly achieves this! Very friendly and helpful staff too, and the hotel is ideally located : within walking distance of so many good spots One last thing : their beds are soooooo comfortable : I slept better in their bed than in my own!

It was hard to.locate the hotel on the street : until this is changed, look for a sign saying Hotel Villa. There is a small sign on the door where Sand and Stone is mentioned, but you have to be next to it to read that. Parking is via a privately owned car park 1 street away - if you arrive when the car park is shut (on a Sunday for example) you'll need to ring the number above the entrance and 1 of the 2 displayed numbers is not correct so you have to try until you can get through on the other one. If you park your car next to the hotel, you're pretty kuchen guaranteed a parking fine as the parking system in Montréal is complex, but that's not the hotels fault at all.

The reviews on this place made me a bit nervous but the location was really good for me so I thought to give it a try. It ended up being pretty clean, the room much larger than I was expecting and perfectly serviceable. I thought i would only have a small shower but the bathroom was quite large and I had a full bath which was nice. The two gentleman running the desk were nice and answered any question I had. It was pretty quiet and generally pleasant to stay. There was also a little mini fridge which was great. I really appreciated the email reminders they sent me with checkin info, checkout reminder and anything else. It nothing special but definitely a budget friendly option that I would stay in again!

I would have liked a different lock on the door, they use code pads to enter the room, this made me a feel a little unsafe in case someone else had the code. I also found the AC unit was plugged into the side table lamp which was plugged into the wall, an extension cord would have been better. Lastly the AC needs the filter changed or to be cleaned since it was giving me allergies but I was still happy to have it.

The staff was very nice and helpful, and let me store my luggage with them a few hours prior to check-in, which I really appreciated. The free coffee was also nice. The rooms and shared bathroom was very clean, and no issues with the wifi.

I had a bit of trouble finding the door at first (the door is a couple more steps to the right than you’d at first expect), but called them and they helped me right away. The neighborhood can seem a bit scary at night, but not too too bad.

Loved the location literally close to everything and so livily. Staff was very welcoming and understanding. Grateful to the very sweet (and cute) employee that let us store our bags before check-in time. Also came to fix sink and attend to our needs throughout the stay. Lovely experience.

Sink was clogged up and only one small bin for everything but staff was very accommodating.

it was a perfect location for my trip, i had a concert next door at MTELUS so I'm glad my commute was minimal. The rooms were nicely refinished and felt pretty clean throughout. I didnt have many interactions with any one while I was there, but everyone was friendly enough. The messages received from the hotel were were clear and proper instructions for my stay, made checking in very easy and convenient

I upgraded my room for a larger room, the room I stayed in felt pretty crammed and not quite worth the upgrade in my opinion. It didn't specify in the listing about having a shared bathroom and shower, but it did show there was a bathroom in the photos for the specific room. It wasn't bad using the shared bathroom by any means, i just thought i had an upgraded room.

I loved the location of this property. You walk outside this hotel and your right on the main strip which is Rue Ste-Catherine. For the price you can’t beat this because of the location and also what your getting. Bathroom was amazing and super clean and the room was very comfortable for 4 people. Had AC which worked great on those hot nights which was wonderful. Also I felt very safe in the hotel because to get into the hotel you have to put in the code to the lobby door just to get inside meaning no random people can come in, only guests. All around this is the best bang for your buck because all the shopping stores are on the same street and the bars, underground shopping center, restaurants, etc. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

You do have to cross the street with all your luggage because the parking lot is on the next block over but it wasn’t too bad.
