We had a layover between flights, so it was a very convenient & comfortable place to stay with a free airport shuttle service. Our stay was good but payment on arrival was not, it was very confusing. To avoid the extra 19% room tax they informed us we needed to pay by credit card (we only had debit card, which they would not accept) or they would take cash in US$. We had plenty of this but not the exact amount of our bill. They would not give us change in either US$ or pesos. So, we had to be content to forfeit any change, which fortunately wasn’t a huge amount of $$ , or pay 19% more for our room. How hard would it be to give you change in local currency?

Every member of the staff is friendly, engaging and helpful and the room was comfortable and quiet. The restaurant is quite good and the breakfast is fresh and extensive. Nice pool and fitness center. Help with outlets and the room safe was quick and thorough.

The airport shuttle pickup from the airport was awful. Not only did the shuttle fail to pick me up, the assurances that it would do so caused me to spend 45 minutes waiting and watching from the pickup point. The travel time is on,y a few minutes. If it’s not there when are ready to go, call an Uber. Also, because of the industrial neighborhood, it works best for a short stay. There is zero to do within walking distance, except walk around on concrete.

I genuinely don’t understand how anyone could not love this hotel. We stayed for one night before our cruise and it was wonderful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The food was very good in the restaurant. The drinks included fresh cut mint from their garden. Service was a bit slow, but it was quite busy and we were there during off peak time. The lady at the front desk, Valentina, was a highlight for us. She was kind and efficient at church in and out no where started performing magic tricks for my young daughters. After 24 hours of travel, seeing their faces light up was such a blessing. We will be staying here again for sure.

Close proximity to rental car return, and later that evening, to shuttle that took us back to the airport. Restaurant that accepted our remaining Chilean pesos in addition to credit card to pay for dinner.

Confusion about where their airport shuttle picks up. It is outside on the second (I believe?) and is a black SUV with gold letters. On the lowest floor, where buses and other shuttles are, they had NO idea! It is important for the check-in desk to let people know this. Further, make sure you are in communication with the Hotel’s whatsapp. They asked for ours but I could not reach them from the airport with the number provided by Booking.com. Fortunately, the airport information desk knew where we should find the shuttle.

My checking in was done by Isidora . She was warm, friendly, efficient and helpful. She tried to answer all my queries and what she was unsure of, she checked. She did her best to ensure that my stay was lovely. The facilities were good and the bed comfortable. Checking out I had Victor- another consummate professional. He did everything in his powers to address my concerns and queries and was pleasant, friendly efficient yet professional. At dinner across both days I had several servers all very very lovely- in particular two young guys over the two days, for whom I left a tip. Very clean environment and a lovely pool and pool side atmosphere.

The breakfast was boring and mainly continental. No bacon or sausages, lots of ham and deli meat though. The coffee machine in the room did not work but Victor made up for that by making me coffee when I got to the lobby. All television stations except CNN in Spanish and closed caption was not available. No shower gel in the bathroom and no bottled water left for guests.

The staff in this hotel are just exceptional. This is the third time we have done a stopover and used this hotel - and while the hotel itself is pretty standard for an airport Marriot - the staff are what sets it apart. They go out of their way to do things for you, to make you feel at home and comfortable. All of them speak excellent English, and they are so friendly. We really enjoy staying here as a result. Rooms are big and comfortable.

The breakfast is a little underwhelming. Although on our second morning we were offered omelettes and eggs cooked to order which we had not been told were available. The buffet needs more healthy options (natural yogurt, cereals with no sugar, chopped fresh fruit, etc) and gluten free bread was requested by me prior to my stay but not provided.

Nice hotel, clean with OK breakfast for the price (Booking price without VAT 90 USD), close to the airport, only 5 min drive. Free shattle service included in the price.

In order to get your right as a foreigner not to pay VAT, you need to pay hotels in Chile in USD. They did not offer any support to do so (informing us before, offering exchange services), so we needed to pay 20.000 CLP (20 USD) more than the booking price. The bathroom had only a top mounted shower. We expected more from Merriott. The shattle service is not guaranteed in a time that fits you, so make sure to arrange it on time.

Central, 5 minutes to the airport, and has a transfer service to the airport each hour. Furthermore the pool is long enough to have a swim. Room has all what is needed.

The service personnel for dinner was overstretched, to much guests and not enough service personnel , I waited over 1 hour for a soup, then they told me they forgotten it - at the end I got it after 75 min. Only 1-2 vegan food options. No plant based cappuccino available. A place for arriving and leaving with transfer or taxi (which most guests like I will do anyway- having the airport 5 driving min away) as the neighborhood is rather insecure. Air conditioning quite noisy, and you can’t open the windows.

The location is perfect and the initial transfer from the airport to the hotel worked well. The hotel is clean and the facilities are high-quality. This was exactly what we needed in between internal flights from Calama to Rapa Nui.

When organising the initial transfer via WhatsApp we were assured that we could organise the transfer for the next day on arrival at the desk. However, when we asked about the 7am slot this was already booked up, which meant we go to the airport needlessly early.

We grabbed a room here after a LATAM cancellation...and used it for just three hours of rest before returning to the airport for our rebooked flight. It's more expensive than some of the other airport-area hotels we may have chosen, but they had availability and we wanted to get flat and sleep. Like other airport-area hotels, this one has a free shuttle, which is of great value. Our booking included breakfast, which we didn't want because we'd be leaving at 3 AM, but we were very pleased to be handed a sandwich and some fruit as we left that morning.
