Very good communication in English. Even though we arrived late at night, the reception staff took excellent care of us and willingly and sincerely offered to provide food delivery. When there was no heating at night because the radiator broke, they immediately replaced it for us. We were surprised by the way breakfast was served (scrambled eggs in a bowl), but they were tasty. Interest in the client's needs and care was a pleasant experience that we did not often encounter.

We had a choice of either coffee/tea or juice. For the value of the accommodation, quite a surprising amount of breakfast. The steam extractor in the bathroom was very noisy, as the bathroom is located in the room.

the attention of the staff was exceptional, everyone was very polite and always ready to help the food was very tasty, we tried lunch, we recommend risotto with mushrooms and of course the special Peruvian ceviche, and the chicken soup was just amazing, like home! for dinner we ate Hawaiian pizza for lovers, not at all sweet, as it is in other places, on a thin crust and there was a lot of cheese. We were very happy to find ourselves in this hotel on the last day of our trip, if we had known about this place before, we would have spent all the days there, thank you very much!

We loved the hotel. We stayed three times during our stay in South America . Yes, it definitely could do with some upgrades but then it would cost more and we found it part of the charm. Loved the courtyard. Good location, easy walk to Plaza. Friendly helpful staff. Limited English but we managed. DEFINITELY best to pay a little more for the bigger room as we did for our second and third stay. First room had extremely small bathroom. Bigger room had huge bathroom but shower door was incorrectly fitted so floor got very wet .

Very small bathroom in smaller rooms.. shower needed to be fixed in larger room ( we had the same room twice so not sure if other rooms were the same ) overhead lighting was not good. Would have been nice to have 2 bedside lamps.

The style of the hotel. It was elegant and traditional befitting the building; the welcoming and efficient staff; the location close to Santa Ana metro station. My room was handsomely equipped and furnished. The cafeteria had good food available until 8:00pm.

Everything was good, but perhaps the breakfast might have been better. I stayed here on two occasions, each of two nights before and after a trip to Valparaiso. On my first stay, my room failed to be serviced despite my requesting it when asked by reception and the indicator hanging from the door. But it was never a problem. On the second stay, my room was serviced and done extremely well.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Felt safe, location was central we could walk to several places of interest. Breakfast was basic but good and sufficient. We had days in between our stays whilst we were visiting different locations and it was extremely helpful that we were allowed to leave some luggage at the hotel.

We had 3 separate stays unfortunately we did not find out until we arrived that our last stay was not possible do to double booking. Fortunately, the staff helped us find an alternative hotel nearby, they also stored our luggage for us until we returned from our trip and booked into the other hotel.

Charming old building, less than 10 mins walk from heart of the city, staff exceeding helpful and a decent breakfast.

The hotel has a restaurant located next to my room with music playing till 10pm when I wanted to sleep.

Hotel building is about 150 years old so expect classic and quaint not swish and modern. Very friendly service, has its own courtyard rear and restaurant which is a nice place to come back to, innovative drinks and dishes. Room good size and quiet. Place is full of character, convenient for sight seeing and at a good price.

Bathroom in room really needs a makeover. Notwithstanding age of building and character the bathroom needs to be brought up to date in a sympathetic manner

Breakfast was nice and lovely but if you are looking for a substantial breakfast this is not the place. They had a happy hour but the times were not displayed, no information. No issue with this but info helps The bathroom had what it looked like a door mat instead of a bathroom mat which made a bit uncomfortable to the feet. No issue here but just a suggestion.

A charming historical home of a prominent family that has been converted into a hotel. It is in easy walking distance to most of the major government and historical buildings. The neighborhood is bustling and safe enough during active hours. The staff is ever present, friendly and helpful.

The lovely historical wooden inlaid floors could use a serious cleaning.

The pluses are very very friendly and helpful staff (including with a problem that I had with an external laundromat); luggage storage while we went off to Easter Island; the historic building with lots of character; and good central location. It is also quite good value for money whereas we found Chile to be unexpectedly expensive. A positive stay overall but with a bit of TLC for the room and furnishings, and an overhaul of the breakfast, and this would be a stellar place!

The first room we stayed in needed some attention and updating: the toilet flush was broken, for example. The second room was bigger, more modern and in a better condition. Then the breakfast. This was very confusing. Although there is a cafe on site (that was able to make us a barista coffee one morning when we were leaving early….) the breakfast that is included with the room is rather embarrassing. Eg a cup of boiling water with a sachet of instant coffee and a tea bag. They would be better to scrap the breakfast all together (and not even change the room price) or charge a bit more and do it properly.
