Colonial architectural building well used to provide accommodation for visitors to the city. The fact that they are reusing this space is something very positive as they are conserving something historic. I would have loved to have spent more time here, it has a mystical feel, and it seems like something out of a movie. The fact that they take care to preserve the old windows doesn't help much with the soundproofing, so be prepared to hear cars passing by on the street at dawn. The location is close to the historic centre. Option to pay by card. The breakfast is self-service and reasonable. Attentive host. Possibility to store your bags to visit the city after cheking-out. Shower with hot water!!

The surroundings at night do not seem very safe and look dirty, but it is not their fault, unfortunately there is not much they can do about it..

Everything was really great, we’ve spent a few days at Casa Marina upon our arrival to Santiago. All rooms are very nice, we’ve stayed in the biggest one with the private bathroom and we really enjoyed all the space and the interior. We stayed during the summer, but because of the architecture the room was pleasantly cool all the time. Kitchen is really cozy, with the area to cook something if you’d like. There are many nice restaurants around Casa Marina, with good prices, overall the location is safe and we’ve enjoyed spending evenings outside.

The rooms are so beautiful amazing architecture across from a beautiful church. Lots of great restaurants and shopping all around. Many things are in walking distance unless you want to go more so into the city by train or bus or take a tour to surrounding areas. Kind staff and Barbra is so sweet and helpful! The price is more than affordable for the amenities and quality. It makes you feel very at home and comfortable. I will definitely return to Chile one day and this will be the place I pick if I decide to stay in Santiago.

A bit noisy, no AC (they did kindly provide fans for us) but that’s to be expected with older buildings of course!

It is a very beautiful old building that used to be a library, the walls are very high and the rooms very spacious. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the open kitchen concept is nice, if you want to warm up your own food or serve yourself some warm beverage. I really liked staying here and would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be near the Barrio Yungay in Santiago's center.

I guess for very cold winter nights the heaters provided in the room might have troubles heating up the big rooms with their high walls, but it was enough for our room in the beginning of May.

It’s an old building . The feeling is like you are spending a night in a museum. Very clean, calm place. Carlos helped big time, since I arrived late, he shared Chilean empanadas and was very attentive. Pablo and Martin were super friendly and helped in all ways they could. I recommend this beautiful hotel. Specially if it’s a group.

Central Santiago is getting more and more violent. I didn’t feel comfortable to walk on the streets around the hotel. Specifically in the evening.

The hosts very friendly, even prepared early breakfast for our early flight. Room is very big and with high ceilings. The house is beautiful with a lot of paintings. You can fully use the kitchen which is fully equipped. Good location next to the student area Brasil

Bathrooms are shared and not fully clean / equipped. Breakfast is quite scarce and self cleaning, would've preferred to have lower price and prepare if myself.

A landmark building is being restored to former glory. No outside sign revealing the hostal, you need to ring the bell. The entrance hall is breathtaking. Room no.3 makes you feel lodging like an aristocrat. High stukko ceiling, large windows and a small balcony going out to the Basilica del Salvador. Self-serving breakfast is just fine. Conveniently located 500m walk from Los Heroes (endpoint of the Centropuerto airport bus) and two blocks from artsy Plaza Brasil with many pubs and restaurants.

Huge ceilinged rooms, original features. Flat screen tv with facility to change the language. Shared bathroom was cleaned every day. Breakfast was included, cereal, eggs, bread, cheese and ham Host Barbara was absolutely amazing, she arranged 2 trips for us when they appeared to be sold out, and did this in her own time. She was really helpful very friendly 15 min walk to the main square. 5 mins to avenue Brasil full of restaurants and bars 15 min walk to Quinta Park

Very large room. Good bed. Good shower.

A lot of traffic noise at night. Very high ceilings so I think this would be very cold in the winter but was good for my stay.. Location was okay but probably not the best for anyone visiting Santiago for the first time.

Such a cool building to have restored! Los of history and character, spacious room, nice breakfast setup, helpful staff.

Maybe add a luggage rack in the room so you don't have to put suitcase on the floor. And maybe a couple hooks in the room to hang things
