Location. Absolutely kind and friendly staff. When busy, they should consider having two people preparing the omelettes, but I like their offering overall.

The rooms a little bit outdated. My bathtub was making strange boices and felt like it might crack and breack when. I was taking a shower. Bathtubs are from the past. No one is using them. Shower cabin is much more appreciated.

During my recent business trip to Shanghai, I had the pleasure of staying at the Dorsett Hotel, and I couldn’t have made a better choice. the hotel’s real advantage lies in its convenience, particularly its direct access to Metro Line 2 right from the lobby entrance. This made commuting across the city incredibly easy and efficient as well as airport train. Another highlight is the hotel’s prime location right next to Century Park, which is perfect for morning runs or leisurely walks. It’s a great way to start the day amidst greenery and fresh air, especially during a busy business trip. The rooms are spacious, big, modern, and equipped with all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable and productive stay. I especially appreciated the high-speed internet and the well-designed workspace in the room. The staff at Dorsett Shanghai were exceptionally professional and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. Their commitment to service made my stay truly hassle-free. Additionally, the breakfast selection was excellent, offering a variety of both local and international dishes – a great start to busy workdays. Whether you're in Shanghai for business or leisure, I highly recommend the Dorsett Hotel for its comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

breakfast choices could be better. coffee was not good

I like it being so near to the line 2 metro line. Easy for me to commute around. Besides, the service crew in the hotel was helpful. I called to ask for salt to gargle my mouth(due to sore throat), the front desk was helpful to get a housekeeping lady to send me the needed after the request was made a few minutes later. Thanks for that. One more to add, the free laundry service offered in the hotel, totally like the facility offered!

It’s aging and it’s time to upgrade the room. The water outlet in the shower area needed to be checked as the water was trapped in the shower area and took some time to clear.

We've stayed at this location multiple times. Its location right on top of subway line 2 and across the street from an entrance to Century Park are huge bonuses. Only one subway stop off the PVG Maglev and you're there. Daily visits to the park make for a nice respite to what can be a chaotic city. Get a park view room. Way nicer than a city view. The daily buffet breakfast is worth the extra cost.

Hotel is aging a bit and could use some TLC here and there. Other than that, not much to report.

Very close to the Expo, with a shuttle available to reach their for free. Staff knows enough amount of English to help, and is very helpful, i printed some paper, added some stuff to my reservation, and requested some stuff while staying.. all were done smoothly. Specious rooms with comfy bed. Room service is fast, clean, and helpful. Breakfast is nice.

The bathroom in general is meh, and the hygiene products don't smell good. The wardrobe is very small.

The room was clean and perfect for a solo traveler like myself. It’s conveniently located right next to a metro stop so I feel safe traveling back at night alone and can head into the hotel directly. The stop is on line 2 (century park 世紀公园站, exit 4). There is a park across the street that’s perfect for walks and exercise. The breakfast was perfect for me as it offered a variety of options and if you go early, there’s plenty of seating available. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I’d definitely stay here again if I visit Shanghai in the future!

The room is a bit dated but not super old. Other than that, it had everything I needed for my short stay so it wasn’t a big issue for me at all.

Quick check-in and check-out. Very comfortable bed and black out curtains for the perfect sleep. Good location, line 2 is perfect for tourists, and the nearest subway station has an exit directly to the hotel door. Lots of space in the room and in the bathroom, all toilettoiries and towels were in place. Good breakfast, many options (chinese and western).

This might be connected with the platform and not with the hotel. I chose the option of paying on site, however the full price was charged beforehand which was a surprise for me.

Lovely team of staff, very accommodating and professional. Breakfast was an amazing combination of Chinese and Western food. Loved it. The "Breeze" bar in the evening was a great place to hang out. Room was very comfortable and the view was amazing. I loved the little plate of fruit that was left in our room. 12pm check out is amazing, thanks for that.

Some of the room fittings are getting a bit tired. But it was still pretty good.

Stayed here a few times now and always have a good stay. The location is super handy with the metro right next to the hotel, local restaurants, shopping mall and century park just across the road. This time we also had the pleasure of drinks at the hotel bar where Thomas the bartender was great fun and fantastic making us special cocktails! Made the stay much more fun and relaxing 😁
