This hotel is very clean, located 5 mins from Provenza and it’s like a 20 mins ride to the airport. The staff was extremely friendly especially the night staff! ♥️♥️My room was cleaned daily, the pool was clean, as well as the gym however I did not get to experience the spa as I was busy with excursions. The breakfast was great and its buffet style. The security at the hotel is also great especially at night time. There’s a full body mirror in my room. They also had someone playing music at the piano at night time for dinner. The person who checked me in on my first night was great!!! His customer service was amazing. The hotel is also walking distance to the main road but it’s away from all the traffic noises so I loved that.♥️ it’s so peaceful and comforting.the hotel also arranged my airport pick up and the gentleman Edgar was very welcoming and warm. I’ll be back soon and with a few friends.

The lightening in my room is not very bright but the bathroom light is great.

Was a large Jr Suite room with a nice shower. We were greeted at the front entrance as we checked in, where the chief bellman secured our luggage, and directed us upstairs two floors to the front desk, and from that point on everyone staff was absolutely wonderful. We had dealings with the Front Desk, Bell man, Maid, Bartender, Waitstaff, and without exception they were all friendly, and very capable, The building was very clean. Nice pool and gym down below. Breakfast was excellent, nice presentation, fresh, and we were well cared for. Although ALL the staff that we encountered were very nice, the head Bellman really stood out; he was from Caldas, not far away, and he always had good advice for us as we awaited a cab when sightseeing. We will return.

The hotel is literally built into the side of a mountain, so getting around was a bit tricky. As I mentioned the entrance was two floors below the main desk, the gym was one floor below the pool, and walking down the driveway or anywhere around the area is pretty steep. Outdoor hot tub could be a bit warmer, pls.

An extensive buffet breakfast, more suited to Colombians, but hey, when in Rome. We asked for boiled or fried eggs in addition and that wasn’t a problem. Pool is nice if the weather cooperates. Elevators were fast and quiet. Room was very quiet, didn’t hear anyone in the hallway or outside the building.

It’s billed as a 5 star and it’s not, at least appearance wise. The other Dann Carlton is. So if you lower your expectations a little, this is not a bad choice for the money. Bathroom door stuck ( because bad design of bathroom exposed it to water) tv remote confusing and different for each room. Once we were instructed on ite use, we were fine. A bit too far from El Poblado area to comfortably walk to restaurants/bars, but Ubers super cheap. We ordered them every time we left the property.

The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast; there was an unlimited buffet with many delicious options. It is in a good location in the southwest of the city, near one of Medellin's most significant and well-known neighborhoods for the nightlife (El Poblado). My room was spacious and clean, and the bed was huge and comfortable. The facilities were well-conserved and clean. The staff was very kind and helpful with my requests and questions. The hotel had a pool; I didn't have the chance to use it, but it looked clean and fresh for those hot days in the city. I'll definitely come back when I revisit Medellin!

I had some trouble with the double payment at the counter, but it was corrected immediately; I think this hotel is almost perfect for the rest!

For the money i paid, it was well worth it! The staff were helpful and approachable. The included breakfast was delicious, i loved it!

I liked the property very much but they claim to be a 5 star hotel but they are not there yet. The facilities are out-dated and when i arrive the phone in my room was not working and it took them almost 2 days to fix it but it still made static noises when i was in a call. But at least it was working i guess. Don’t get me wrong, this place is worth the money you pay but it is definitely not a 5-star hotel.

It was my 2nd and 3rd stay at the Belford and I have been as happy as I was the first time: quiet location just 5 minutes by car from the center of El Poblado, stylish appeal, great pool, comfy rooms with everything you can ask for, good breakfast (for Colombia that is), very helpful and friendly English speaking (!!!) staff. At this price level a gem!

Like in my first visit there is one point calling for improvement and reducing the overall rating from 10 to 9: The maid service doesn't work properly. The Minibar was not refilled twice, the room wasn't made up one time. Almost daily there was something missing in the room, e.g. they took away the used glasses from the Minibar but did not replace them 3 times. This definitely needs management attention but besides that my stay was perfect!

I always say at the Dann Carlton Belfort as it feels like a home away from home. It’s nestled in a perfect location in Poblado and walking distance from the fun and nightlife. The staff is so warm and welcoming and the facilities are very clean. The gym needs some updating and the jacuzzi could be a bit warmer, but that’s the only facilities complaint. The daily breakfast is also amazing with fresh food, fruits and juices.

I wish the gym would be updated! It’s such a great place and very clean, but needs to have newer machines.

Nice location in Poblado, 15 min walk to a lot of restaurants (but as part of the walk is through a residential area, therefore empty at night, still better take a taxi). Lot of green around so could even hear the birds at night while in the pool (Nice one!) Very clean rooms, comfortable bed, nice view. Great breakfast. Super Friendly & helpful concierge / bellboys, organizing for your early taxi and excursions, as well as giving all necessary information for my whereabouts.

Staff at reception not the friendliest ones, they should learn from their colleagues bellboys or waiters! Would have appreciated that they offered me to replace my last breakfast (really early check-out) by having it on my first day when coming early at the hotel.

Breakfast was extensive. There were many choices: eggs, meats, fruit, breads, etc. I looked forward to each morning. Walter, one of the "valets"? was fabulous. He took our luggage to our room, filled us in on some pertinent information and was warm and welcoming. We loved returning from our day and hugging Walter!!

Very bad experience our first night for dinner. We ordered and waited and waited. Other diners ordered, ate and left before we were served. At some point another waiter came out and said something like to meat was frozen or something rather "odd." We were about to leave and he suggested a tortilla with chicken and cheese to split and he'd give us a chocolate cake at no charge. Well, we waited even longer, about to leave and the tortilla showed up. I was fine, nothing special. The cake was a nice gesture. Needless to say, we did not return for dinner again!! I'm talking about an hour and a half of waiting.

Perfectly located in a very quiet residential neighborhood in El Poblado, yet only a few minutes driving time away from the action. Renovated rooms with all amenities you expect from a 5-star hotel, very cozy beds and top quality mattresses, nice pool area, stylish 5-star appeal, superb services and super friendly and helpful (at least to some extent) English speaking personnel, free parking, good restaurant, exceptionally good price-quality ratio...

It would have been a straight 10 points review, but there was a very annoying incident happening upon check -out. The front desk clerk was trying to charge an expensive bottle of rum from the minibar, I didn't drink. When I asked for a detailed mini bar invoice he obviously felt uncomfortable and when I told him, I didn't have the rum, it disappeared from the bill without any discussion. The entire situation was serving the impression, it was a planned fraud attempt by hotel employees. So you better check your minibar invoice carefully and hotel management should check and fire dishonest employees.
