It was super clean and the rooftop was gorgeous

I booked a room with the hot tub but every time I needed to use it, maintenance had to come to my room. Want the lights on? Maintenance. Want to drain it so you can use it again? Maintenance. Want the jets? Maintenance. The fact these tubs can’t be used without assistance is odd and I wish I would have known that beforehand. It’s also not really in El Poblado, if that’s what you’re looking for.

The location is great, and the hotel itself is very nice. Nice bed and shower. Kudos for the roof terrace which is fantastic.

We had the family room and were sleeping in the room with 4 people. The bathroom is separated by a curtain and the bathroom and toilet have a glass panel in between, which does not give much privacy. With all the beautiful design in the hotel, I would expect them to give this a bit more thought. The driver who would pick us up was not at the airport when we arrived, so we took a taxi. In the end the taxi costs 13,000 pesos (3 euros) where the hotel charged us 215,000 (over 40 euros) for the pick up. That’s just criminal. The desk staff was not very nice about this when asked upon.

The boutique design and taste in decoration makes the hotel unique design. The rooftop drinks alternative to other bars in the area is fantastic. The customer service of Medellin is great and the personnel meet the expectations and provide basic guidance to move around the neighborhood. The location is in between all the bars and local shops in Provenza, the Metro which is at a walking distance, the tunnel-highway to go to the Rio Negro international airport within 25 minutes, and the local airport 15 minutes away with transportation to all smaller cities in Colombia making the hotel very versatile.

For the type of hotel and location, it does justify a step-up in the quality of the breakfast. The expectation is to have great coffee and a Medellin quality breakfast, not elaborate, but better.

-Great Location – Situated in Manila, El Poblado, a lively and safe area with restaurants, cafés, and a great vibe. -Beautiful Design & Atmosphere – The hotel has a modern, stylish ambience that feels trendy and welcoming. -Rooftop Restaurant & Nightlife – A great space for breakfast with a view and an amazing dinner experience with live music or a DJ. -Friendly & Helpful Staff – The reception and restaurant staff are very accommodating, making the stay pleasant. -Comfortable Bed & Pillows – The king-size bed and pillows ensure a great night’s sleep. -Safe for Solo Travellers – The area is secure, and the hotel staff is attentive, making it ideal for solo travellers.

The Standard Suite with Jacuzzi – 1 King Size Bed (3rd floor) internal view to a plant wall. felt too small and claustrophobic, even after the hotel removed some furniture.( Bigger rooms are the ones with city view!) -Limited storage space, with only a small wardrobe that wasn’t enough to unpack properly. -Breakfast had only three set options, and extras like an additional egg were overpriced (£2/~$2.50 USD) with extra service charges. Better breakfast alternatives nearby, making it more worthwhile to eat at a local café instead of paying for extras at the hotel.

We loved everything about this hotel. They were kind and helpful from the beginning. We arrived very early, about 6:00 and were so tired. The staff at the reception helped us with early check in and even upgraded us to a room with a balcony. Both interior and exterior of the building are original, artsy and beautiful. The city is green and this hotel is full of plants, too. The restaurant on top offers delicious breakfast and the staff there are kind and hospitable, too. The room was just large enough and the minibar well-equipped. The views from every window were stunning. The bed is extremely comfortable. We had all the amenities we needed, and upon request we also got a hairdryer and an iron. All in all, we enjoyed our short stay here. The location is great, right in the city centre. There are lots of coffee shops and restaurants around. If we come back to Medellin, we’ll come here.

Somos Bold is a great hotel, close enough to the busy Provenza area but in a more quiet relaxed neighborhood, which provides lots of places to eat and drink, all within walking distance. Breakfast was included, the location for the breakfast is the rooftop restaurant which provides amazing views of Medellin, and is beautifully decorated. There are 3 breakfast options, of which option 3 changes everyday and the portions are good. Our server Auriane had a great personality and went above and beyond for our group of 10. Looking forward to staying there again on my next visit.

It’s a little thing but if you choose the suite with the jacuzzi, keep in mind that you will be in the 1st floor next to the elevators and the lobby, you can hear people talking outside (Especially drunk people arriving at 1-2am). And the jacuzzi is outside the room, like a little terrace, everybody from the other rooms above can see you and it does not have a roof so you may have to use it while raining.

Every day we had an excellent breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and nicely designed; rooftop bar/restaurant was excellent but a little pricey; all staff members were very friendly and helpful.

The description indicated a coffee maker in the room, but that was not available--in Columbia! Especially on the days when the breakfast is not served until 8:00, coffee in the room would have been nice. Rooms on the 5th floor are directly under the restaurant/bar, and loud music with heavy bass is played until 10:30 or so, so not great for early sleepers

Really fantastic stay at Somos Bold in El Poblado! Stayed with my partner while on holiday for 4 nights and wish it was longer. The location is excellent - lots of great food/drink - and felt safe to walk around. The hotel itself is very tastefully decorated and modern, the room was quite spacious and comfortable, internet was great and check in/check out was very smooth. A real highlight was the staff and service - we'd like to call out Gabrielle who was on the desk during our stay - she was so welcoming and helpful. She gave us tips on where to eat/what to do, wisely suggested we borrow an umbrella when it was raining and just such a friendly and kind presence everytime we arrived back. Give that girl a raise!

The breakfast options every morning were really good. The room was nice and very ergonomic although maybe a bit small as we struggled to fit our luggages and clothes. The design of the hotel and of the rooftop bar is very elegant, and the quality of the food served really good.

The room felt a bit small for the price, and the communication with the staff was sometimes a bit difficult as our Spanish and their English were both pretty limited. This could easily be improved if some information would be shared from the start in written form (for example, how to use the jacuzzi instead of bothering 3 different staff members who each had a piece of information).
