The room was very comfortable, great sleep, everything clean and well taken care off.

Food was barely acceptable, didn't match the expectations that the resirt creates at all.

I booked for a night before our return flight. I was looking for a place next to the animal rescue centre and with a swimming pool. The hotel is literally 1 min from the wildlife rescue centre, I really recommend you the visit! The hotel pool is huge!!! Room was very big. And it takes 15 mins to go the airport. I recommend this place.

The room is very dark, not a problem as most of the time you will be out. The bathroom needs renovation, is very basic. They didn’t provide any bathroom’s toiletries. The staff is very uncaring. No one helped us with the luggages or took us to our room. A guy in a golf buggy was in front of the hotel door and didn’t even bother to help with my luggage (stairs). I can carry my luggage without problem but don’t call it 5 stars hotel!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience overall. The location is fantastic, surrounded by beautiful nature, making it a perfect spot for relaxation. The peaceful atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for, and the staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service—always friendly and attentive. It is also conveniently close to the airport, but not so much as to make overhead engine noise a problem.

That said, the hotel is a bit old, and some of the facilities show signs of wear. While this didn’t ruin my stay, a bit of renovation would make a big difference. Still, the charm of the place, combined with the outstanding service and serene surroundings, makes it a great choice for those looking to unwind in nature.

We stayed here overnight after a long haul flight from London which arrived late afternoon so just needed somewhere local to airport to recover before travelling on to La Fortuna. Hotel is less than a 30mins drive from car rentals. Lovely grounds and gardens. The swimming pool is a main feature. Our bedroom was huge and overlooked pool, gardens and main building. Evening meal was pizza which were good and breakfast very nice. Would definitely recommend as a quiet and pretty spot to stay if you want to be close to airport after or before flights. It would have been nice to have a little longer here.

Bathroom too small, needs to have coffee maker or electric kettle each room. Microwave could be shared. But inform or leave instructions each room about the amenities how to use them and where to find them, accessibilities of things, what no. To dial in the phone incase of emergencies. Must have English translations on all instructions. Thanks

Beautiful grounds, large pool, spacious rooms, food is good and Wi-Fi works well. The staff is very friendly, especially Didier -receptionist-, he’s very kind, welcoming, helpful and efficient. Frankly, the hotel is showing signs of age, but it is charming and very clean. Location is great if you’re looking to stay close to the airport ($15-20 Uber ride), but also if you’re looking for an environment where you can breathe tranquility and peace. The climate in the area is very pleasant. There is a wildlife rescue center within a short distance from the hotel, and it is a nice place for a half day family tour. Great value overall!

My family and I had a great stay, but my recommendation would be to provide hand towels and facecloths in the rooms.

Loved this hotel! The pool area was amazing, the sounds of the birds, felt like you were in the middle of nature. The wild life sanctuary "rescate" just down the road was a highlight we visited first thing in the morning when they opened! Nice breakfast, lovely grounds and close to the airport - a perfect way to start/end the holiday. We did both :)

Like other reviews said the hotel is a bit dated but for us this added to its charm. Restaurant at night was just OK, but happy to have had a place on the property to eat after a long journey! Definitely recommend this hotel!

The staff were so accommodating, allowing us to keep and reheat some of their lovely pizza from dinner for the following days lunch and keeping our bags for a delayed check-out. Costa Rica hospitality is so good. The pool is a decent sized allowing for reasonable lengths and exercise. The grounds have nice bird and iguana life and opposite the hotel is a wonderful wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary. We played pool and there's all sorts of other facilities we didn't use. Restaurant is very good. All in all I don't see how our last day in Costa rica could have been any better.

Nothing at all. It is a grand old place. Minor thing but perhaps a little maintenance in a few areas which are looking a little aged may help the feel just get to top notch.

A perfect place to stay as a stop over to recover from jet-lag and acclimatise to Costa Rica. The hotel is tired but very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and the pool is amazing. The wildlife around the complex was superb. Travellers /families looking for a couple of days post arrival to Costa Rica would like this. It is about 25 min from the airport

The facility is definitely a private getaway within a large metro area. Very comfortable as an airport overnighter, and I've stayed here about 16 times over ten yrs. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The restaurant food is excellent!

I found the room to have a very low end sofa, not in keeping with the rest of the room. Okay to throw a suitcase on, but not something one would be able to relax on. Housekeeping needs to add face cloths to the bathroom linens, and some shampoo & conditioner would be much appreciated. The corridors have tiled floors and plastered walls, so any sounds transmit loudly through the building, including the accidental slamming of doors by guests or the wind. The room doors should have self-closures, rubber weatherstripping or some type of cushioning to absorb the impact and quiet the noise.
