The location was beautiful and service was excellent. There are other resorts in the area but Parador wins in terms of its views. It’s easily accessible to the restaurants, especially because we had a car. The servers were excellent and have us prompt service. Andrey was kind enough to bring us a cut mango on the side for breakfast if it was available. Since we had WiFi issues with our initial rooms, management was kind enough to upgrade our rooms to ocean view rooms which was a bonus. We definitely felt taken care of.

We stayed for 5 nights and breakfast was a bit mediocre for the quality of the resort. It was entirely the same every morning with the same fruit options. I was really hoping for mangos during the summer season. If you compare to a Cancun style resort, I would say entertainment was also lacking. The pool was the highlight and luckily there were enough chairs. Also, WiFi was spotty at times and we had connection issues in our initial rooms (we had 2 rooms for our family of 5). We had home renovation projects happening back home, so WiFi connection was critical.

I very much enjoyed my stay in this resort. It has a number of heated pools, fine restaurants, hiking paths and some animals living in the resort or occasionally visiting. Rooms are quite spacious and clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. WI-FI was working perfectly throughout the resort. Finally, the view from certain spots is really spectacular.

Although the resort is very nice, I think it's a little overpriced, as the design of the whole resort seems very outdated, with some buildings looking even strangely cheap, as if they were built last, when the owner ran our of money. Only a facelift of certain parts of the resort would justify such a high price. Also, the road to the resort is in really bad shape but I understand that this is not the fault of the resort.

The resort is very family-friendly and the staff is very nice. Lots of wildlife can be seen on the premises of the resort. The room was spacious and we could see monkeys, sloths, butterflies, iguanas, agoutis and racoons while we were there. The pools were really nice and the kids really enjoyed the family pool that has a shallow end. The restaurants had a reasonable variety. The hotel is very pretty and we saw more wildlife there than at Manuel Antonio National Park.

The room didn't have a hand-held shower. The breakfast was nice but got repetitive after a week. The WiFi in our room was cutting off and it was impossible to watch anything on tv.

Everything was excellent -the hotel and its gardens are very beautiful, the room was very spacious and clean, with a fantastic ocean view, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, clean and beautiful swimming pools. You can see a lot of animals and birds around - monkeys, sloths, parrots, iguanas and many others. Very useful free return shuttle to Manuel Antonio Park.

We'll start by saying that we wished our stay at Parador had been longer! It didn't start off great, we had very noisy neighbour's in the adjoining Garden room next to us and our toilet + wifi weren't working. After one night we went to the reception and asked if it would be at all possible to change rooms. Not only did they change us right away but they upgraded us. It really made our entire vacation. They went above and beyond + now we've already booked again for next year! The grounds are immaculate. The staff works so hard to keep everything clean + everyone is so friendly. The animals on the grounds are incredible. I've never experienced anything like it. We saw so many sloths (some just a few feet away), tucans, macaws, pelicans, monkeys, racoons, agouti, deer, caracara etc. It was so fun to spot the wildlife every day. We did go to Manuel Antonio National Park, and while I recommend it, the wildlife at the hotel was so much better. The pools are also beautiful and the views are unmatched. The breakfast selection was wonderful as well! We can't wait to go back again next year.

We had a bit of trouble with our wifi connection in our Garden room + the toilet was broken when we arrived (but fixed right away!). We read a lot about the drive into the hotel - and honestly I feel like the reviews made it worse than it was. We had no issues getting in and out, the hotel is locked at the end of the cliff so you do need to drive a bit slower and sometimes stop to let traffic pass but we had no problems. The restaurant prices, especially for dinner, are fairly high but that's to be expected. There's a lot of great restaurants off the grounds as well nearby.

Such a beautiful resort! The main pool has a gorgeous view of the ocean, and is especially magical at sunset. The breakfast included is delicious. Also the monkey trail on the property was full of monkeys! Very cool site to see, but highly recommended walking it in the afternoon when they’re more active.

The sushi restaurant was just ok, and the pricing was high for how much you get. Only negative.

The site was beautiful. The pools were plentiful, clean and a comfortable temperature. The food in the casual restaurant, buffet, bar and pool was very good and enjoyed by all. The pool bar was enjoyed by most of us. The day Monkey Walk trail and the Night Tour allowed us to see sloths, monkeys, birds, and more.

Nothing that was the fault of the property.

The most impressive element of the Parador was the staff! Everyone was so friendly, knowledgeable, and upbeat and welcoming. The property was beautiful! Everything was so well maintained and easy to access while on the property, the rooms were cleaned to perfection and the housekeeping would organize our rooms better than we could! Breakfast was lovely, especially with the view, the pool was warm and fun for our children. There’s also an adult only pool which made it relaxing for us to allow our kids to play knowing there was somewhere else people could go if they didn’t want to be bothered.

It’s the last property at the top of the hill, so everything was a taxi ride. The dinner options were good but not exceptional for the price (it was very expensive) so we found ourselves leaving for dinner most nights which was sometimes a hassle. There also is really only one main option for dinner where there’s a view and atmosphere so different options would’ve been nicer and perhaps a more relaxed dinner option for a more chill night if you want to relax in the evening.

This is THE place to stay in Manuel Antonio!Parador is not just a beautiful resort, it’s an oasis of peace and comfort with all the bells and whistles including a friendly attentive staff! Sloths, macaws, monkeys and many other interesting animals can be seen right on property. Randol was an excellent guide who can help you spot them. Deiver made us feel right at home, and checked back every so often to be sure we had anything we needed. There is a full breakfast buffet each morning with a wonderful variety of choices. You will really appreciate the chance to relax in comfort after long, hot days touring in the area!

The only things I lacked were a nice, hot jacuzzi at the pool, and some crispy bacon on the breakfast buffet.

We got a family suite with a kitchen and large refrigerator. It was more room than we needed but would work well for a family and we ended up eating some meals in the room. Beds, towels, bath were great. Air conditioning was appreciated. Our room had a balcony with a view toward the ocean but it also looked out on the roof of the restaurant and some noisy mechanical equipment. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was excellent. We loved watching the birds from the terrace in the morning. Grounds are very nice. Loved all the pool options and the trails. Loved the access to the fairly private beach in a sheltered cove, great for ocean swimming.
