Huge & deep bathtub with hot water (a rarity in Costa Rica). The location was fantastic, and my room overlooked a beautiful park. It is within walking distance to most of the museums and tourist sites, but not in a major traffic/crowded area. I felt very safe walking around by myself. Room was large and comfy - loved the bed and pillows. The hotel is right next to a casino with a nice restaurant (you get 20% off your meal there for being a hotel guest). The breakfast was decent. 12 p.m. check out. Good Wi-Fi in my room. The hotel staff was very accommodating, and there was secured parking and a guard out front. I sincerely feel I got a great room for the price. I would absolutely recommend this hotel as well as stay there again.

I have nothing to complain about. Thought all was great - keeping in mind that this is a 3-star hotel and not the Ritz Carlton. So, base your expectations on that. Oh - and be mindful that you are in a Spanish speaking country, so don't get annoyed if only a couple of the TV channels are in English. . .

I was able to request a room on the quieter side of the building, other than the maintenance the following day it was far more peaceful I was also able to drop my bags off beforehand and check in early I have stayed here a few times so I know the area, the breakfast is always good and the staff friendly as well

The fact that I came out of the bathroom to find a man leaving the room, having been given a key on the basis that I'd checked out already when in fact I'd extended check out by an hour and the original check out time hadn't been reached Luckily he was as confused as me

Lovely. Wonderful staff. Quickly arranged ride to airport ($40) Stayed 1 night at start of 2 wk trip, 1 night at end. 1st night's room - ok (no coffee pods, friend's room door knob fell off repeatedly), last night's rooms were excellent. Breakfast was good, coffee was great, nice atrium dining area. Magnolia restaurant with 20% discount across parking lot, was very good, great service.

Booking.com lists a shuttle provided (lists lots of details under "Fine Print", too), but shuttle doesn't exist - Sleep Inn responded quickly to let me know this when I msged to ask how to get the shuttle from the airport. After learning this I contacted booking.com to request they change the info (at hotel's suggestion) & since I used Shuttle as a filter and frequently do, but booking.com still hasn't edited it - and it's been at least 3-4 weeks now. I loved the hotel but am giving Booking.com a 1 star review (and I am a Genius Level 3 member who uses it every time I travel) Booking.com keep the info accurate please!

Clean linen, clean bathroom, clean towels, clean facility up to developed country standards. Free parking spaces (at another hotel we stayed in downtown early on in our trip, there was no free parking) , great location in downtown close to National Theatre, China Town etc. Great breakfast (included). Cheap (great value for money). We don't want to stay at anywhere else if we ever come back to San Jose Costa Rica.

Carpet was old and I don't think carpet is hyginic in general. hopefully they will get rid of it one day when they renovate.

A very nice mid-range hotel. The breakfast was good. The room was very comfortable (carpeted--a little unusual in Costa Rica) with good A/C and nice beds. The hotel is downtown, within walking distance of many attractions. It is situated right next to a casino, which is where drivers usually pull in to pick up and drop off from the hotel (since the hotel driveway proper, always seemed to be gated.) There is a charming book exchange library (both Spanish and English books) and reading nook on the second floor.

After travelling for weeks, I was very pleased to find a bath in the room, hot water, no insects, working air conditioning, a fridge and a coffee machine. And a massive bed! Luxury!

The hotel is slightly set back from the road and there are upper and lower levels.. this made me panic about a taxi pick up that I had booked. Walking distance to lots of places was easy but the area did feel. Bit seedy alone at night as a solo female traveller.. but that's the same everywhere.. No pool. There is a weights room / gym though, and a casino.

I was able to leave my bags with them, the room a decent size, the staff were friendly and it felt safe

Someone was chatting I assume to the security guard outside on/off most of the night, it was quite distracting Also I had two bookings for consecutive nights due to availability and not being able to change the original booking, I was able to change it on arrival to avoid changing rooms which was great but, I was only able to pay for the first night, which meant that I was on the check out list the following morning and even though I paid for the 2nd before breakfast when I arrived later in the day, my key had been deactivated and the cleaners had to let me in (I'd explained to them before popping out that I shouldn't be on the list as I wasn't leaving that day) It would have made more sense to be able to pay for both when checking in

I stayed here the first night after landing in San Josè - for these purposes, the perfect choice. Very central - 5-minute-walk to the National Theater & to the National Museum in the other direction. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious. The staff was kind, too. The breakfast could have offered more variety but for Costa Rican circumstances it was still a very good breakfast.

Excellent and very friendly staff, clean rooms, great location for the museums tours we wanted. Nearly all staff spoke English even though I can speak poor Spanish. Rooms were very quiet from the city noise. Had parking which was important for us. Breakfast was very good with a nice variety of food although I would have liked an omelet bar. All in all a great value and close to many things that we wanted. We requested an extended check-out that was granted, (although it turned out that it was not needed after all), We were also able to check-in early which was very nice. We would recommend this hotel and will stay again when we have visitors that want to visit San Jose.

The shower heads should be replaced as they are not strong or with a lot of flow. We had to request some more pillows as ours were small and not really comfortable. The replacements were larger and comfortable. We were a bit disappointed in the sports bar as it was quite small but the casino and restaurant were larger and nice. The menu looked good but we did not sample the fare. We really just wanted some cocktails and snacks but they offered no appetizers or snacks. This was the biggest downside of the restaurant.
