Beautiful place to stay! Close enough to San Jose without the "city" vibe. Really kind and helpful crew: always polite and trying to communicate with us and our limited Spanish. Very nice gentleman also gave us a safe easy ride to the airport, and his wife was sweet and friendly (she also worked at the hotel). I would highly recommend and will stay here again if we are ever near San Jose in the future. Can't say enough, the best place we stayed during our two week Costa Rica vaca! Muchas gracias! Pura Vida!

The location is absolutely beautiful, the canyon behind the property is spectacular. We enjoyed the pool during the day and the hot tub at night, it was heated and the perfect temperature. The staff was so kind and helpful, they offered free tea and coffee, use of the kitchen, bug spray and sunscreen and were always friendly. The breakfast in the morning was homemade and generous. My son didn't like the tamale and the cook offered to make him a pancake, they were so kind. The other guests staying were very friendly and it was nice to share a conversation. My son and I enjoyed a movie in the lounge and got food and ice cream delivered to the hotel.

It is over 30 minute drive from the airport, it cost me $30 to get to the hotel from downtown San Jose and another $30 to get to the airport, I used Uber which was cheaper than the transport they offered. I thought airport shuttle was free when I booked it.

I was traveling through the Central Valley when I tripped and broke my ankle. I needed a place to stay after seeing the doctor for my first consultation My Dr. recommended Vista Canyon Inn and what a fabulous recommendation that was. They arranged for transportation to the Dr.s Office and then to the hospital for my out patient surgery. and picked me up after surgery. Thrilled they had room for me the next night. This place is Heaven on Earth. The staff, rooms, facilities, and breakfast were fabulous. Plus, they arranged for me to have a lovely room that was easily accessible on the first floor close to the dining area and Lobby.

The breakfast was excellent but there was only one meal to choose from. Lots of fresh fruit always. The pool and gardens were lovely and spotless. The rooms were very comfortable and clean.

The location and the parking. Neighbors dogs barked day & night. The off street parking was very difficult to get our SUV in and out of. When we arrived in afternoon no staff was there to meet us. The manager was taking guests to dental appointments in San Jose 30 minutes away. We were met by another guest who knew little except what rooms we had. After 1pm there was no one in the office at all.

The property was secluded and private, a really beautiful location just outside the city. It had a beautiful view and very nice gardens and landscaping. They had parking available for our car and we were close to many restaurants and shopping centers. The breakfast included in our stay was delicious with fresh fruit, juice, coffee and a traditional Costa Rican plate.

Nothing.

I had an accident while in CR and broke my ankle. I had planned on staying just one night. However, do to the additional visits to the Dr. after having surgery. I added 2 nights to my trip. Amazing tropical oasis in the middle of the city. disappointed I didn't use the pool or hot tub. Can't wait to come back to enjoy the experience

that I couldn't use the pool or jacuzzi and that I had to leave.

When we walked in and saw the beautiful view, it was so unexpected. Pictures don’t do it justice. We were greeted by Brenda. She was so lovely and even helped us order dinner in that night. Everyone was so kind and made us feel special. Breakfast was prepared every morning. They set the table for us on the patio. The grounds are beautiful. It was a perfect end to our trip in Costa Rica.

Great views, great pool, nice staff. Good value for money. Clean.

The room had no windows. While the descripion stated ‘canyon view’ Noisy old airco and fridge. All this would be an issue if the hotel was more expensive but for the price we paid it was acceptable.

Lots of little touches which made the place lovely. Tea and coffee available all day, an honesty bar, sun cream and insect repellent. A lovely pool and hot tubs, and really comfortable loungers. Just far enough away from the airport to avoid the noisy planes but only a 20-30 drive. Very comfortable rooms and fab staff.

My husband wasn't feeling well when we arrived so we didn't get to enjoy much of the property, but the heated swimming pool looked amazing and the view was stunning. The owners were so kind. They said if my husband wasn't feeling better the next day we could stay, no problem. They found a Kindle charger for me when I lost mine. They even have wine you can sign out for purchase!
