Hotel Mirjam is on the edge of Makarska in a quiet area with tenniscourts and a bungalowpark. The entrance is a little bit hard to find because you have to drive in front of another apartmentbuilding to get to Mirjam. Enough free parking places. This hotel is one of the best we've ever stayed in! Great new boutique hotel with beautiful design. Clean, colourful and friendly staff. Our room on the 3rd floor had mountainview and view of the bungalowpark nextdoor, a big balcony with laundryrack and furniture. The room is very spacious, the large beds are great, also a large bathroom with plenty of thick comfortable towels and soap/shampoo. Large closets with safe, bathrobes and minifridge. Great airco! Free jacuzzi and sauna downstairs. Just ask the frontdesk. Enough sunchairs on the rooftop pool with seaview where there's also pooltowels and a bar. The breakfast is out of this world, especially in the weekend. Everything is fresh and delicious and there are even smoothies and fruitcocktails. A walk downhill takes you to the pebbles beach and a boulevard with plenty of restaurants and little shops. With a 20-30 minute walk you are downtown old Makarska and the harbour. Very well worth to go and see. Would definitely stay there if I were you ;-).

This hotel is exceptional, From the moment we arrived until the very end. Mainly down to the absolutely phenomenal staff friendliness from The lovely manager Andela and her amazing team! They are completely attentive and helpful in every way possible making our stay somewhat special. They can’t do enough for you! The Hotel is absolutely spotless, clean and tidy but you rarely see the cleaner. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bathrooms are lovely. Rooms AC is good, smart TV’s, Nice balcony’s and massive super king beds with the softest pillows. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed upon request or as standard. There’s a fridge mini bar in the room. The roof top pool is just lovely too, it over looks the sea and the back drop is the mountains, very picturesque. The bar is next to the pool on the roof and The young bar tender is brilliant just like all the other friendly staff! Now for the good bit, almost my favourite part was the breakfast spread!!! I’ve stayed in many nice hotels but this breakfast spread was amazing, catering for every taste requirement there is. It was so vast with food that I was positively overwhelmed with food excitement. They had everything, to name a few, All cereals, granola, pastries, toasts and toppings. More fruits than at a Greek goddesses banquette. A hot counter of your more English breaky, scrambled and fried eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, peppers and so on.. Smoked salmon, anchovies, cold cheeses and meats. The food went on and on, it was all delicious! Coffee machine was of an excellent standard. 5 different juices everyday plus cava on tap every morning 🥂 11/10 for the breakfast. Everything! This hotel is very modern but cozy at the same time. The location is a 15 minutes walk from the old town, but that comes with peace and quite. Rooms are squeeky clean, very well equipped and I very much appreciate the small details such as great quality personal care items in the bathroom, sweets on the table, etc. The pool on the roof is amazing, water temperature was perfect even on November 1st, the view is superb, and they also serve great cocktails in the pool bar. We couldn't wait for the breakfast time - everything we tried was fresh and super tasty. I also haven't met a nicer staff than in this hotel for a long time, helpful and very professional.

The only thing that bothered me was the coffee machine at the breakfast - I think it needs a fix, coffee was running out almost cold and watery. But there is kettle and coffee in the room as well, so that's not a big deal.

Really enjoyed the spacious room, location is quite yet near to the beach and everything. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Definitely should come up with solution for the rooftop pool and smoking area: right now smoking is allowed everywhere and this is really frustrating like ashtrays are everywhere and you literally smell the smoke nonstop. The room cleaning is the point of growth- could be better. The description of the room says garden view but there is no garden in fact it's just a separate camping area. AC could be more powerful.

The hotel is located maybe on the most peaceful spot of town, among trees, far from the hottest spot of people. There was no disturbance, whatsoever, only sounds outside being the birds and the sounds from tennis court. No nuisance at all. We also spotted a squirrel living in the neighbour and bats in the evening, which was very nice indeed. The landscape is excellent from the top floor; islands, the sea and the tree tops. The tennis courts offer entertainment, it was fun to watch people playing! We had a balcony in the South corner which offers also a stunning view to the mountains. The hotel itself is very nice and tidy. The rooms have plenty of space, with very comfy beds. The breakfast is excellent with numerous items to choose from, from cereals to fruits and everything between. There is also a possibility of gluten free options. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And quick in their actions. Their English was also excellent: no challenges in communication, whatsoever.

There is no restaurant. But shops are nearby if you want something to eat in your room. The sound proof could be a bit better, if you happen to get a noisy neighbour.

The location is a little way from the marina 20 ish mins , but we enjoyed the walk. Breakfast was nice but felt the hot counter could do with improvement, not many people touched it . Someone to make omelettes would be good and pancake or waffle maker also would be a nice touch . Staff are all lovely , rooms cleaned every day . We would return .

Would of been nice to be able to have a choice of breakfast items if your leaving early in the morning . A tick box would help . Pool lights in the evening would be a nice touch .

It was very clean upon entering the hotel. Our room was very clean as well and so were the halls. It smelled amazing wherever you went. Also, the breakfast served was phenomenal! The stage everywhere was so friendly and treated us great! The extra bag of diapers and wipes was so thoughtful. The pool and the views were great!!!

The only thing i would say is it’s advertised as free parking but there are not many spots for it to actually be free. We ended up having to pay in the garage. It wasn’t too expensive but when it says free parking I expect there to be enough spaces for everyone. Our rooms shower was odd. You couldnt fully shower without the water overflowing. We told the front reception area about it and they came to see if it was clogged but i think its how the tub is. Its so shallow and not able to get the water to drain fast enough. Only other thing is the pool. As clean as it is, there is mold buildup and some areas that are broken along where the water falls. Minor details but would be great to see replaced and cleaned.

The room was very clean. Furnished in a modern style. Nice and big bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Our room was on the second floor facing the so-called garden – although it was actually just a few trees on the left side of the hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was offering a great choice of everything including desserts. They don’t make the actual espresso coffee for the breakfast, just the coffee from the machine. The espresso can be prepared by the staff, but it would be charged. The the pool is really nice on the rooftop with a beautiful view of the sea. It was heated, which was really nice during our stay in the beginning of May.

We didn’t like the location of the hotel. Although it was in a quiet area, it was just too quiet. Too far from the old town and the port of Makarska. it took us 30 minutes walking to the port and the old town - the area we liked the most in town.

The property is extremely beautiful, the view from the rooftop pool is spectacular. Our room also had a wonderful view of the riviera. Breakfast is a very good spread. The staff were also extremely helpful and extremely pleasant! For what we paid in early April, this was an absolute steal. We'll definitely come back if we ever visit Makarska again.

Very minor things. I wish they'd offer more towels at the pool while it's open, they only seem to have a few out, if any. Also, the clothes dryer in our bathroom didn't seem to work. Last of all, the design of their showers makes it such that water can easily spill out onto the floor. Not much, but it's very easy for them to fix. I hope they address these minor things, then this property would be 💯 perfect

The room was clean, comfortable and well equipedd. I loved the shower bath and body lotion it was amazing, it was so fresh. The staff was polite, very kind and friendly. The breakfast was delicious, varied and abundant, it was the best that we ever eat. The playroom for children was very nice, there were many games, it had a complet tree house with slide, my doughter loved very much. Parking is good, and the distance from the beach is close. In the beach there are many bars and restaurants, and it has a market near the hotel. I offer everyone! We will definitely go next summer.

I have no bad experience with the hotel. But in the beach there is one dressing room, there is no toilet 🤨, and there are two shower, which use 0,5 euro🤑
