The kids offer was incredible - there were so many things for my 6 year old to do, I loved it. He really enjoyed all of the offering. Also the employees at the kids club were amazing, same with the Spa staff

Some of the employees were a bit rude, borderline racist. Mainly speaking about the bar staff. When we’d communicate on English they were welcoming and quite happy to help us - but once they realized where we were from, they’d instantly change their demeanor, service etc. at one instance they even began a political debate on our contry, etc. Stained an otherwise flawless experience

Stayed for 3 nights great location great breakfast choice , we stayed in a room for 2 with sea view the room was very nice with xtra large balcony with 2 large chairs with cushions and 2 sunbeds with cushions and a wind out sun shade , hotel was very nice and clean and the pool was great also right on the beach

The aircon was very poor and only went down to 23 degrees , after complaining as i couldnt sleep the reception logged in and turned it down to 16 degrees which made barely any difference as the blower was useless , you could only feel it if you stood infront of it , for ne this was a big deal as i cant stand being hot when im trying to sleep and managed 4 hrs sleep everynight , if it wasnt for the aircon i would have given this property 10 stars

We had a wonderful time at Valamar in Makarska, the hotel was excellent. Having traveled all over the world staying at many famous hotels, I can say, that Valamar Hotel offers the world's BEST breakfast, It was amazing! The location is perfect, and we really enjoyed our stay. The Staff were wonderful and attentive, always smiling and welcoming. I can't wait to return to Valamar Makarska!

My only negative was the bed, they really need to work out a solution to make the twins into a king-size bed better, the beds kept on moving apart and the bathroom could use an update. This is a family friendly hotel, so our room catered to that, I would suggest that there are more couples/Adult focused rooms as well.

The location of the hotel is amazing, and they truly have everything you need on the property. It is definitely worth the money. Also, the staff were so nice and accommodating. It made the stay even better.

While there is a kids pool, a lot of kids come to the normal pool and play there. I wish they would have a section just for adults because having kids jump and scream and play games in the pool does not give you much space to just swim and relax.

Perfect location, breakfast was lovely and value for money. Staff were all friendly. Pool was amazing and enough beds etc. Kids facilities also amazing. Plenty of seating in the hotel, Inside and out. Lovely bar serving gorgeous cocktails 🍸

We had 3 in a room which was rather tight, with the 3rd person on a sofa bed which wasn't the most comfortable. Balcony and bathroom could do with some tlc/ renovation, they aren't as nice as rooms and rest of hotel.

Family room perfect for 2+3. Food was absolutely amazing, great choice for breakfast and dinner buffet. Very kind and helpful stuff everywhere especially in the restaurant and pool bar. Indoor pool and the area in front of it on artificial grass were amazing to fight off the heat. Very good bar with high quality drinks and cocktails. Well equipped gym with a sea view. Live music most evenings, with good mix of Dalmatian and international classics. Excellent kinds entertainment programme but very often activities didn't take place due to lack of children, which was a pity because the monitors were super nice. We appreciated pool/ table tennis and table foot in the lobby. Valamar app was very useful.

The pool lounge chairs - it's a high time hotels on Croatian coast enforce the paper warnings and remove towels from "reserved" non used chairs. It's doable by a whistle which invites guests back in couple of minutes or another method. If everyone removed their stuff when leaving there would be more than enough room for everybody. Double beds with separated matrasses that move very easily and weird pillows (lady at the reception said it's possible to request different ones). A GP on site but private one so European health insurance card is not accepted. the food at the pool bar was not great but there is an Italian restaurant attached to the hotel with great choice for lunch.

Overall good hotel. Food buffet was exceptionally good. Pool along the promenade is also amazing.

The pool water was too cold, it's good for swimming but not for just relaxing in the pool. Overall it's still overpriced. When paying 500 Euros for 2 days I expect to have a small free mini bar and complimentary water in the room, both was not the case. I really enjoyed my time there but given the prize I would not book it again.

We loved the view from the room, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast and the dinner were simply great with a lot of choice. The indoor swimming pool is huge and heated, possible to swim, there's a sauna, outdoor swimming pool, there are places for kids to play and a nice lobby with happy hour drinks and live music on certain evenings, outdoor sitting, and direct access to the beach.

Nothing to complain about.

We had an amazing stay! Beyond amazing children’s play room, outside lounge area, dinner and breakfast with huge amount of different dishes :) oh and we would like to thank Antea for entertaining our baby boy in the dinning room 😄

The only thing we think could make our stay even more amazing would be a shallower indoor pool. Unfortionately the pool is 1.75 m deep meaning we could not relly enjoy it as much with our 8 month old baby.

EVERYTHING! All staff are so friendly and polite, the hotel is very clean, right on the beach front and has a fantastic pool area and pool bar. All very clean, plenty of sunbeds with parasols too. Pool is heated and beach area is clean. We had amazing views from our balcony too. Breakfast and dinner buffet had so much choice! Something for everyone. You can rent paddleboard, kayaks, bikes, jet skis all nearby. Lots of facilities for children of all ages from pool tables to a gaming room with Xbox and PlayStation! Never seen that before in a hotel. Very cool feature
