Prior to arriving the communication was great. We traveled there by bus and Danielle picked us up as arranged by the bus stop and her father did the return trip. Gate 3 into the lakes was around 15 minutes walk on a quiet road, Danielle gave us advice on the best route once in there. Waterfalls were stunning and glad we had a two day pass as so much to see! We had breakfast at the accommodation, as other reviews you do get lots of food put on your table & given bags so able to make sandwiches, cakes & fruit which saved the costs in the lakes. Evening meals four course, but only choice of fish or meat which comes on a huge dish with veg selections. All the meals are cooked by Danielle and her Mum plus a couple of staff members.

Having to pay by cash for accommodation, meals etc due to having poor internet, although you are told about this when booking.

I had a great experience in Hotel Breza. A family runs Hotel Breza and treats their guests like members of their family. They care about everything, kindly advising on transportation, purchasing park entrance tickets, and even providing snacks for your hiking adventures! The breakfast and dinner were delicious, freshly cooked, and served in huge portions. Don't miss it! The room was quite spacious with a mountain view. It was very clean and all the facilities were working fine. The location of the hotel is perfect - right next to Plitvice Lakes National Park and near Entrance 3. Highly recommended to stay in the peaceful Breza and enjoy hiking in the beautiful nature of the park.

Breakfast was excellent with tasty bread, a selection of meats and cheeses, freshly baked donuts, croissants, orange juice, tea, and coffee. On top of it, there was always a basket full of fruits to top it off. The place is located in beautiful, rural area, surrounded by woods and fields. It is very close to the Plitvice National Park which helps with queues to board the boat if you get there early morning. The rooms were spacious, larger than we expected, very clean and very well kept overall. We even had a heated bathroom floor and free Wi-Fi which worked well, considering it's a fairly remote place. The dinner served in the evening was a four-course meal with starters, excellent chicken soup, the main dish which was either fish or meat, and a homemade, very tasty dessert.

Breakfast and dinner were both prepared beautifully and tasted great. You can see the care that goes into the meal. At breakfast, we greatly appreciated the tray of meats and cheeses and fresh fruit with baggies so we could pack a lunch for the park. Dinner is 4 courses: soup, salad, at tray with your choice of fish or assorted meats plus potatoes and three vegetable dishes, followed by dessert.

I wish any gluten-free items would have been clearly marked as 1 in our party ended up with issues from eating gluten, although she was trying to avoid it. There were 3 adults in our party and we weren't that hungry so split 2 dinners. We still couldn't finish and really don't like wasting food. Be aware that although you can pay for your room by credit card, you must pay for your meals in cash. We ended up having to get more cash after this stay.

Loved the room. Comfortable, great and spacious shower for Europe. King size bed. Enough beddings and pillows. We loved the food! 30 euros pp for dinner. Huge portions so we had just one portion the second night but they gave us each a soup, a salad, and a dessert. We split the big main and had more than enough! Potatoes, two kinds of vegetables, and the meat or the fish as you wish. That was 45 euros for both of us and totally worth it. The breakfast is 15 euros pp and is huge. Toasts, croissants, other bread, omelet, fruits, cheeses and meat, cereals, juice and coffee. They encourage you to make yourself lunches for the day. We only had the breakfast once, we stayed two nights. We just loved it. It is a family business, and Daniella and snow white( yup!), are so nice! We took the car for 5 min to the entrance of the park, easy parking in September. We walked the rest, easy and amazing. We are in our 60s and had no problem doing the whole park. It took us 4 hours as we stopped for pictures. It is so beautiful you dont know where to look!

The only tiny issue is that there is only a bathroom in your room so if by any bad luck you need to go when you are having dinner or breakfast, you need to go back to your room. The road to get there made me a bit nervous. But you dont have a choice if you want to see the Plitvices National Park.

Fantastic location for easy access to the national park. There is an entrance about 1 km walk from the apartments. It is not one of the main entrances but you can use your pre-booked ticket without any problem. If you arrive late in the afternoon, you can also walk along the top of the canyon perimeter without actually entering the park as there are viewing points along the way with great high level views of the lakes and some of the falls. The entrance mentioned is also suitable for those with mobility issues. You do not need to drive. Just park your car at the lodge and walk. The hosts are extremely friendly and speak excellent English. I would thoroughly recommend having the offered breakfast and dinner. My wife and son are vegan, and whilst they don't specifically cater to vegetarians and vegans, they went out of their way to accommodate.. They have the normal soft drinks as well as beer and wine for dinner. Be advised that there is a very poor WiFi / mobile signal there, and as a result, cash payment is their preferred option as the card terminal seldom connects to allow for card payment so make sure you have sufficient Euros to cover both the. Accommodation and the meals/drinks

Although not included in the booking cost, extremely authentic, delicious, and generous dinner and breakfast was available each day, and extremely reasonably priced. Because the breakfast was so large, I also was able to pack up much of it to eat later on my hike through the park- which they plan for by giving you baggies at your table! It was lovely to have a picnic half way through my 12 mile hike. Lovely, family run, authentic, and quiet property, away from the crowds, but conveniently located to walk into the park. Finally, Natasha, the lovely Matriarch of the family who owns the property, recommended a pro-approach to the hike which allowed me to see the best parts without the crowds. Finally, make sure you ask about the lamb for dinner, which they farm across the street and you will see when you stay there!

Wifi was a little spotty. But that's to be expected for a remote property.

Superb place to stay when visiting Plitvice. 10 min walk to entrance 3. Danielle was a wonderful host and is on the go all the time. Thanks heaps to Vlad for picking us up and dropping off at the bud station. The food was also great. Way too much dinner but scraps go to the chooks, cats and 3 legged dog! Breakfast also on offer which you can take to the lakes for lunch. Location is amazing, quiet and peaceful.

Only thing would be an option would be to pick what you would like for dinner rather than having the soup, salad, mixed fish or meat main and dessert as a full 4 course, 2 of them would be enough.

Breakfasts were prompt, very tasty and generous. The cost of them would have been quite high if it were just for breakfasts, but each day Daniella gave us bags to make up good packed lunches from our breakfast provisions at no extra cost. So in fact, we had a tasty breakfast and good picnic lunch each day for the advertised breakfast price. Well worth it! Dinners were excellent for pescatarians - fresh local fish and nicely cooked, plentiful and varied vegetables - extremely tasty. Location is very convenient for entry by the scarcely used Gate 3 (this gate is not advertised in Plitvicka literature) - so no queues to enter, at least if you go down early. Daniella speaks great English and provides a useful pick up service at a reasonable cost from the bus stops at Gates 1 and 2 (Gate 1 is closest to Pansion Breza if you're coming to Plitvicka by bus). Great feel to the place, nice to wander through local lanes.

Buses don't always arrive on time (can be early or late...), so the pick-up service can be a bit fraught. The mobile signal at Gate 1 bus stop is poor, so if you can't spot the pre-arranged pick up vehicle you may need to walk into the visitor ticket sales area at Gate 1 to get enough signal to phone Pansion Breza to check when and where your pick up vehicle is.
