Location was great and it was easy to reach the waterfront. Breakfast was brilliant with freshly made eggs. Staff were friendly and informative, and responsive to WA texts. We loved the little window showing the nearby alleyway where we could sit and people watch. Being able to borrow their bikes was much appreciated as it allowed us to cycle along the coast to find a less crowded beach

Poor wifi in the room. Only 1 tiny soap bar provided throughout our 4 night stay though in retrospect we may have been able to request another but being in the annex made it less straightforward to do this

Right in the heart of the old town with easy access to restaurants. The staff were wonderful and shuttled us between the apartment and the parking in a golf cart. We had everything we needed and they were quick to respond to the small electrical issue we had. Breakfast was great and convenient. Marko deserves a raise! We loved it but be aware that one bedroom is up one flight of stairs and the other is up two flights. They are difficult to access for people with mobility issues, but the living space and one bathroom are at ground level, which was great for our needs. Bathrooms were clean and recently updated and the location couldn't be better.

Casa Garzotto was a great place to stay in Rovinj. It was right in the middle of old town and within walking distance to many sights and places of interest. Walking the small winding streets paved with beautiful white stone was a traveler's delight. The breakfast was outstanding and kept us going all day until dinner, with just a small snack maybe at lunchtime. The breakfast had eggs, various meats and cheeses, cereal, toast, fruit, excellent cappuccino, juice and tea. I've probably left something out! Our group (there were 6 of us) stayed in one apartment (for 4 people) and one room (for 2 people). The apartment was roomy and clean and 2 steps from the breakfast area. The room was several streets over and was very clean and roomy. If you have mobility issues, I would not select the room to stay in, as it required using a lot of stairs to get to it. But I'm sure Casa Garzotto would be able to get you another room that would be more suitable. Casa sent a wonderful employee to pick us up at a good location, the central bus station or a large square. Communication about pickup was through WhatsApp and everyone spoke english. The casa uses small little golf-cart type vehicles to bring you and your luggage right to the casa. We were a little worried about making contact and getting to our rooms but that went very smoothly and there was help with carrying our luggage. There was AC in the room and the apartment and that worked great, too. The location was fabulous and we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. We also booked a few local tours while we were there and pickup was easy, usually at the central bus station or the larger nearby square. Book your stay now!

Our only small warning is about the many stairs that you might encounter, depending upon which unit you stay in.

The polite, respectful, helpful staff The spacious, comfortable room The handy location right in the middle of old town Rovinj The super comfortable bed crisp sheets and plenty of pillows The historic significance of the secret passageway that takes you to breakfast each morning is a sheer delight and the breakfast trattoria and freshly cooked breakfast each morning in a place with such links to the past made my stay even more memorable The lovely hot shower with a user friendly choice of rain shower head or hand held nozzle is great The air conditioning The fact that Bojan offered to collect me from the bus station and took me back again was such a lovely surprise The strong reliable wifi and hot water and a properly flushing toilet

The staff were absolutely wonderful. We came to Rovinj by bus and they picked us up from the bus station, we had their mobile numbers in case we needed anything, and we were offered an early check in as we arrived at midday rather than 2pm. They even offered to take us the short distance to our early morning ferry so we didn't have to carry our luggage, despite it being 7am. The room was comfortable, nicely decorated and clean. The old town is charming and quiet, and the location was right in its heart. Walking to the other site for breakfast was no trouble and breakfast itself was very nice.

Didn't bother us at all but these are old buildings so staircases are steep, narrow, and frequent: be aware if you have mobility issues.

Location was perfect, right in the heart of the old town. Our host Goran was helpful but he seemed to be the only employee, and the front desk was often unmanned, although he could be reached by text. The room itself (we stayed in the main house, not the annex) was spacious and had a lot of "old world" charm. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean. Even though we looked right out over the street, if we closed the windows we could not hear any street noise. Breakfast was good, although the only fresh fruit was apples, which seemed odd.

They really cheaped out on the room amenities - paper cups instead of china for the coffee, really thin bath towels, and useless 7ml paper sachets of toiletries. I mean, really? A truly classy place would do better than that. The shower was tiny - if you dropped your (own bar of) soap, you had to back out of the shower entirely to retrieve it. But I suppose they did the best they could with the space they had.

The staff were excellent, very friendly, and very helpful. The room we had was in the Annex and was spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee facilities in our room and was in a great quiet location. Good continental breakfast.

I think we had the smallest room with little room to move about. We had paper cups which leaked and was suprised we weren't provided with ceramic cups. I felt the room was maybe not to the same standard as the hotel rooms? Looking at photos of the other rooms in the annex, the pictures appear to portray a higher standard of accommodation. Not sure €145/night b&b was good value.

Our host Ivana could not do enough for us. She arranged our transfer from Pula airport to the accommodation.Special mention also to Bojan who collected us. Absolute gentleman. The hotel was centrally located in the old town. The building is hundreds of years old and has been beautifully maintained. Our room was at the top of the building. Very quirky and completely original. The double bed was huge. It was very hot while we were in Rovinj but the air conditioning worked beautifully!

A little more selection at breakfast and a small fridge in the room would have been appreciated.

We loved this hotel! Right from the beginning our hosts made us feel right at home, helping us with car parking, getting our luggage to our room and being available for any help through the entire stay. The room itself was wonderful and super spacious. Although it was at the top of the staircase, we soon got used to that and the views of the rooftops of the old town made up for the extra effort. The daily breakfast was our favourite. Beside being super delicious, it was an incredible experience for the short underground walk from underneath our hotel, to arrive up into the quaint little restaurant (which was more like a home kitchen). This was one of our favourite stays in Europe.

I loved everything! The property contains contacted me and said that the parking was not near the hotel, but that a driver would pick us up! She sent the parking location and the driver was waiting. The room was spacious, had a great view and the water pressure in the shower was amazing and the air conditioning really made everything perfect. It is located on one of the main streets of the Old Town and you are just a step away from excellent restaurants, artsy shops, gelato and beautiful architecture. The staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome! The breakfast was nice as well!

I did not like the stairs. I am not saying this as a complaint! Just one should be aware that they must walk up a lot of stairs. If one has a mobility problem, bare this in mind!
