Loved the size of rooms and comfortable beds, towels, pillows, blankets. Lights were great. The rooms were exactly like the pictures and perfect little kitchen. Location was the ideal—just off the busy restaurant row —perfect for getting everywhere. Reception staff were extra friendly and helped me get a driver to Pula—very thorough. Claudia and Leonard went above and beyond helping with questions and directing us accordingly when we needed a golf cart to Grand Park hotel. Would recommend the property to friends family and would stay there again! I plan to return! Thank for making our stay five star hospitality!

Many outlets however, wish there were USB ports to charge up. Recommend having more water available. The one bottle in room was great would have loved one per day.

The sea view from our apartment was superb and it was great to be located in the heart of the old town. The arrangements to park our car outside the old town worked very well - the golf buggy pickup (for us and our luggage) at the carpark was perfect, and it was just a 10 minute walk to the carpark when we went on out of town trips. Claudia and Lenard made us - and our 2 dogs - feel very welcome. We stayed in Apartment 3, which is spacious with a very well designed kitchenette section, sofa and dining table. We didn’t need to use the aircon so can’t comment on that.

Stairs to apartment are steep, which some people would find difficult

Old Town Rovinj is amazing and Porta Antica is right in the center of it all. Terrific communication throughout from some very nice, very welcoming people. Lenard picked us up at the ferry after hours and was a real pleasure to talk with - thank you! Gorgeous views of the waterfront from the rooms. Had a great time swimming off the rocks a 5 min walk away (we appreciate the beach towels!). We absolutely loved our 2-night stay there and look forward to visiting again!

Just be aware there are a few steep stone steps to the rooms. Not a big deal for us.

The location was great and Claudia was very helpful. Located 5 min walk from the ferry to/from Venice, Italy. The room was very nice but we had to go up 25 stairs to get there. You have to be physically fit to do that a couple of times a day. One thing very important is to travel with a carry-on and backpack. In Croatia if you book a place in the old town there are no car access so you have to carry your suitcases. The streets are cobblestoned and it's hard to pull a big suitcase. Better be warned than sorry 😉

They don't offer breakfast at Porta Antica but there was a nice place close by opening at 8am and offering a very nice breakfast at 19€ per person. There was also a very nice bakery nearby opening at 7am serving coffee.

Even better than I hoped it would be. Room was full of character and with all I required, including coffee making facilities and a little fridge. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept really well. There are four windows giving a lovely view of the harbour. At night with the windows closed perfect silence and air conditioning that worked well whilst also being very quiet. I just loved this room and would definitely return.

Claudia the host. Stays on contact with you the entire time. From where to meet if you need parking, the keys for check in and driving you back to your car with your luggage at the end of your stay. We wanted to stay forever. Great view of the marina, you're right on the promenade. Great comfort, great restaurants, beautiful places to walk for leisurely exercise in morning, afternoon, or after dinner.

Nothing, everything was lovely

A beautiful apartment in a very old building, in the old town, above a lovely restaurant in a busy harbour with stunning sea views. The ladies running it were so helpful and friendly and transported our luggage for us when we rang to say we’d arrived. It was clean, spacious, beautifully furnished with a well equipped small kitchen if you needed to cook. Sofa bed was handy in the living room. Balcony overlooking the harbour with table and chairs. Great place to sit and watch the world go by! Right at the heart of the town with many restaurants on your doorstep and boat trips. Shutters on windows meant you could shut out the noise if you were wanting to sleep before the outside activity had stopped.

Nothing, it was exactly as expected.

We had a large, heavy number of luggage and both Petra abd Claudia carried our luggage to our room up several flights if stairs. They would not let me do it. They were both amazing, pleasant ladies! They made our stay extra special. The room was comfortable, charming and large. The hotel location was great! The breakfast was wonderful. They gave an overwhelming amount of food that tasted delicious.

The waterheater was small and would run out of hot water quickly. We prefer bars of soap rather than soap dispensers of body wash. We would have enjoyed a better view from the room. Being a person who enjoys coffee, only being allowed one free cup at breakfast was not good for me; however, the coffee maker in the room worked wonderfully.

Claudia was an A-1 host. She made our stay exceptional as she was ready to assist an any way she could. Our room was an apartment overlooking the harbor. Has to be the best room in Rovijn. Restaurants everywhere and walking in Old Town was a pleasure.

Nothing I can think of

The location was great, very clean, the staff was very friendly and helped shuttle our bags to and from the parking lot, and it was located in an historical building with a lot of old world charm (Loved the old ceiling beams in the top floor room).

The main issue are the stairs...if you have heavy bags or are not good at navigating somewhat narrow stair cases or are just getting up there in years, make sure you get on the lower floor (s). We were on the top floor, and thought it was a challenge with our bags.
