The hotel was stunning in an excellent location. Views at breakfast were lovely. The hotel was situated to have a stunning walk along the beach front into the old town. The pool area was lovely and peaceful and the staff around the pool were always on hand to help with towels and umbrellas.

If I were to say I disliked anything they would be minor things. The beach bar had a buzzer at your table for drinks but the pool didn’t. And I thought it would have been nice if you could get a drink in the late afternoon in the shade on the terrace outside the wine cellar. Not really things I don’t like just observations.

Staff is amazing, all of them, from cleaning lady, to the staff at the restaurant and all around the hotel. Breakfast was great, the waiters just the most professional ones, I was amazed! Pool was very nice, car, baggage: No trouble at all, just perfect. Everything was beautiful, loved it!

I found it weird that there weren't any eggs at the breakfast buffet, you had to order them a la carte. Selection of deserts was limited - I was expecting a bit more for a 5 star hotel. But, you can get amazing things in a la carte breakfast so, can't really say this was bad 😅 Also, was weirded out that someone else put a charge from the beach to our room, weird they are not checking so, maybe would be good to include some controls, but, they accepted it wasn't us so they removed it from the bill. The nerve on some people who do that 😳 it it is not the hotel's fault, they managed it professionally.

We stayed at Monte Mulini for the second time, and once again, it was a perfect vacation. The staff make you feel truly welcome, everyone is helpful and friendly, and the service is excellent. The pools are great, and the hotel beach is very nice as well. The center of Rovinj is nearby, making it ideal for dining out and enjoying cozy evenings.

It's not a major issue, but it's frustrating that many guests reserve pool loungers by leaving their towels on them early in the morning. The staff can only remove the towels if no one returns within two hours.

Superb pool area. Suites were basically two rooms interconnected with one repurposed as a lounge - worked perfectly. Staff were friendly, professional and attentive.

Gym is shared with the next door hotel and accessed through the Wellness centre. All good but the temperature of the gym, admittedly for fairly intense cardio, was far too high. Fairly basic equipment but managed to adapt. We found the breakfast options adequate but after reading reviews we expected more choice - accept it is all subjective.

Pets and especially (large) dogs should not be allowed in such an exclusive hotel/restaurant. Dog barking, smells and stressful situations (fear) with the guests were the result, even in the bay!!!!! We were with you for the second time and wanted to book again, but are thinking about it because of the dogs! A big request: No more pets allowed from next year! You could avoid too much stress and smell and noise! Best regards! Maybe 2 regular guests (2023, 2024, ...)?

Everything! Location next to beautiful pebbly beach and 15 mins walk to stunning Rovinj with so many waterside restaurants. Huge rooms with all possible comforts. Excellent service everywhere. Fabulous breakfast until 12 noon with tables on the terrace overlooking the sea. Gorgeous pools with loungers (best to put your towel out early but it never feels busy and it’s all so peaceful). Valet parking included. Absolutely loved this hotel.

Truly nothing

Attention to detail was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - they were attentive but not overbearing. We were treated like royalty. We loved the fact that it is an adult only hotel and it is very classy. The cleanliness was outstanding and the food was incredible. The location was perfect and the surrounding area absolutely stunning. Rovinj is a wonderful place to visit. Worth every penny.

Everything, property is perfect

The only negative side is the attitude towards dogs. Since they are allowed and their stay is quite expensive there shouldnt be so many restrictions. We were sitting outside for breakfast, at one point I was holding my dog in my lap since he was restless and someone from the staff told me that that is forbiden. I was sitting far from the table, there is now way I would let him close to it….Also there should be area by the pool where dogs are allowed, marked, and without problems for us owners…

People should know that the decor is very contemporary (though not to my taste). It is not a “typical old European hotel” with beautiful classic features. This came as a shock to me initially. Also, it is located a good 20-minute walk to the old town of Rovinj, which is a bit far if you want to go more than once per day.

The room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and the pool and spa facilities beautiful. Having access to the beach and complimentary loungers was lovely. We dined at the cave restaurant and were very impressed by the food and the presentation. Matija was our waiter and he made our dining experience extra special with his excellent knowledge of the food, wine and olive oil. We also dined in old town at some equivalent priced venues but felt the Cave Restaurant did it better, wish we had dined there twice. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and after five days we didn’t tire of it. We look forward to returning again.

My only issue was the dog hair on our carpet. It is not common practice to take dogs into hotels where we are from and I would have assumed that rooms are kept separate for quest travelling with their pets.
