The hotel is wonderful, as it is located in the old town center where you can truly experience the pulse of the city. There is no car access, but they have an excellently organized parking area. Before your arrival, they inform you of the exact location of the parking and ask you to notify them 15 minutes in advance, as they will come pick you up with a golf cart. The accommodation itself is lovely, and the hotel is stylishly decorated. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is excellent, served in a small dining room with something for everyone. The hotel staff at the reception are helpful and friendly. They gave us many useful tips. Upon departure, they will take you to your car at any time you agree on.

From the moment you arrive you feel like you are at home. We got pick-up by one of the staff members at the hotel's parking place, and nicely driven to the hotel in a cool little car. Staff were super friendly and the whole hotel feels cozy and warm. There were many nice things in the hotel and our room, but the breakfast deserves a highlight. I've been to many hotels, but the breakfast they serve in Hotel Angelo d'Oro is something special. A wonderful breakfast, not necessarily by the shear amount, but the amazing quality of everything you can eat. Just simply amazing!

Very nice place in the center of Rovinj, lovely and tastefully refurbished old building with lots of original elements and a nice finish of high quality materials. Rooms with old furniture and historic flair, but new and very clean bathrooms. In particular, the staff is super friendly and very helpful. For new years eve we even had a complimentary dinner buffet with Istrian specialities that were super delicious. All in all very recommendable.

Not a problem for me, but some guest might find it not ideal to not have an elevator but only a narrow staircase.

We had an wonderful stay at Hotel Angelo d’Oro, located in the heart of Rovinj, just a short walk from the town's main attractions. Though the parking was off-site, it was nearby, and we received clear instructions on the day of our arrival along with a convenient pick-up service via an electric car. Our room was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our family of four and our dog. The bed and fluffy pillows were particularly relaxing and cozy. Breakfast offered a variety of delicious options, with fresh fruits and vegetables, and the homemade focaccia was my favorite. It was also lovely to have our dog join us in the courtyard garden during breakfast. The staff were exceptionally service-oriented and genuinely friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Instead of a daily charge, I would have preferred a flat fee for our dog's stay, as that’s what I’m accustomed to from other places we’ve stayed. Although the daily charge was not unexpected—the hotel informed us about it before our arrival—it was the one aspect I didn’t like.

Perfect location. Comfy bed, nice room, air con and modern bathroom. Hotel personnel are friendly and helpful. Dog friendly!! Breakfast served nicely with wide variety of food. Also the terrace is a great spot to relax. Rovinj is absolutely stunning and the nearby park is great for dog owners.

The room above us (we were in 104) has wooden floor. Unfortunately for the first three nights it had guests who preferred to walk the marathon at midnight in high heels. Very disturbing it was! Suggestion to Management..cover the floor with thick carpet as in most hotels. Great sound insulating effect.

Being a heritage hotel in the heart of the old town the hotel had character and was well positioned. The golf cart shuttle service from the vehicle drop off point to the hotel in the pedestrian precinct was handy. The buffet breakfast with eggs cooked to order was fairly standard. The staff were polite. Our room had nice views of the red tiled roof tops, the church bell tower and the sea. There was one armchair. The shower room was modern with a luxurious heated floor. There was no restaurant but there were a wide range of tourist cafes, bars and restaurants in the near by streets.

The hotel had an attractive garden lounge with comfortable furniture and menus on the table. It would have been good if there was service. We waited for an hour on a Monday afternoon but no staff appeared. The ground floor lounge was equally devoid of service. So we walked to a nearby restaurant for a coffee. We chatted about this with the receptionist the next day but he couldn't offer an explanation.

Perfect little boutique hotel in Rovigno. The rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities needed. We were even given a free upgrade to a Seaview room since it was quiet when we visited. Breakfast was nice, they offered cooked eggs in the morning and the usual continental style breakfast. We loved our stay and would definitely return!

I guess this is more to do with the location than the hotel, but parking is incredibly expensive all around the area. All parking is paid in the area (average of 2 euro per hour!!) so we parked in the hotel parking, which was 16 Euro per day, which in low season I found to be a bit expensive especially as we were guests of the hotel. Other than that the staff were very kind and escorted us to and from the parking with our luggages.

The hotel is small and inside of Venice style architecture building positioned on one of the "main" streets of Rovinj old town. Location is perfect for visiting everything you want to see in Rovinj, for a nice evening walk and just couple of steps away from good restaurants. Hotel does not have elevator - this is expected due to the building - stairs might be too steep (for some older people). The breakfast organized outside on small terrace is just great idea - its private and not on the street (as mostly others have). Employees are very kind and helpful. It is great to see them smile and see they enjoy their work.

Breakfast selection could be better - in general recommendation to Rovinj hotels & restaurants: less is more and good enough but(!) only if it is local! You can not serve only Salmon as a fish option. Salmon has nothing to do with Croatia, while Istria has long tradition on good Fish pate, dry Fish,... Also - Greek salad? We are not in Greece. It is fine offering international options, but not as only option. A bit more creativity needed. Anyway, this is in general present in Rovinj and not particular to only this hotel.

We stayed at Hotel Angelo d'Oro for 4 nights in September 2022 and would stay here again in a heartbeat. We arrived to Rovinj via ferry from Venice and were picked up from the ferry terminal in a golf buggy for a short ride back to the hotel. We were warmly greeted by Adriano at Reception who set the benchmark for the exceptional care and help that we experienced during our entire stay by all the staff at Reception. The Reception team answered all our questions with thoughtfulness, and looked up information for us so we could catch local buses to various towns, they booked us into restaurants and went above and beyond with all our queries. Morana was particularly helpful too and clearly loves helping guests. Our room on the top floor and overlooking the water was spacious, well furnished and the bathroom was refreshed daily including mopping of the bathroom floor each day. The Oliva del Mediterraneo toiletries offered were the nicest we experienced during our time in Croatia (staying at 4 other places). The location in old town was perfect for enjoying the old town and was a simple walk to the bus station, boats and markets. The hotel has produced a detailed map including useful restaurant recommendations. The breakfast buffet had a decadent range with lots of different meat, fish, cheese, bread, cereal, salad and fruit options, and desserts. They have a delightful courtyard to enjoy breakfast too. We were extremely impressed by the professionalism but also warm and personable staff - Hotel Angelo d'Oro was our favourite place we stayed at in Croatia.

Since we couldn't drive our car into the pedestrian zone, the hotel provided a parking area outside of old town, and transported us and our luggage to the hotel by a shuttle. AND carried our bags to the rooms since there was no elevator. The reception room was a wonderful place to gather, with comfortable seating for all 8 of us. Breakfast was excellent with a vast choice of meats, fruits, breads and eggs.

It was perfect --- staff, rooms, lounge area,
