The location of the hotel is amazing. The territory and the room are kept very well cleaned. A good variety of leisure activities, including the ones for kids (big 'thank you' to the ladies who run the kids club during the daytime). Friendly and helpful personnel. One of the swimming pools has sea water. Beautiful areas of the two islands. A small beach bar next to the harbor is a cosy place to escape to from the midday sun. There is a private outdoor parking on the mainland with the free shuttle service.

Outdated hairdriers. The sink water mixer in the bathroom as well as the shower pipe were broken (but still functioning).

Location is just perfect, nature, view and whole ambient. Very good connection with city.

We absolutely loved the incredibly beautiful island with its stunning nature and clear, calm sea. The hotel grounds were picturesque and very well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more pleasant. The rooms were nicely renovated and comfortable, even though some minor things didn’t work properly. Dinner was a real highlight — delicious and varied every evening. Overall, our holiday was truly wonderful, and we’d be happy to return.

Breakfast, although tasty, lacked variety — the same food selection each day quickly became repetitive. The bathroom had a persistent musty smell, despite us leaving the door open and using the fan, which seemed to be not effective enough. Also, the sunshades on the balcony were not working, which was a bit inconvenient.

We first stayed at this hotel in 1997 with our 15-year-old daughter. Despite the fact that we have visited many countries during our travels, we always like to return to this magical place, and our grandchildren with us. The environment is amazing, the cleanliness is maintained, the quality of services does not decrease. This year we received a nice surprise from the hotel staff - a birthday cake for our grandson was waiting for us in the room with a nice gift. We really appreciate that over all these years, care has also been devoted to nature on this island

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. We really enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. There were many different choices available each day, and everything was fresh and tasty. Whether you prefer something light or a hearty meal, there was something for everyone. We were especially pleased with the variety – it made every meal feel special. The dining area was also clean and pleasant, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. Great food was definitely one of the highlights of our stay! We absolutely loved our stay on the island! The location of the hotel was ideal – surrounded by beautiful forests and just a short walk from stunning beaches. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. There were also many lovely spots around the island to explore, from peaceful walking paths to scenic viewpoints. The whole atmosphere was calm and refreshing, making it a truly memorable vacation. We would love to come back again!

The location is wonderful, two islands seperated by a causeway, clean water and adequate beach chairs for the guests. Though there are not that many sun umbrellas, we managed to get one every day. The staff are helpful and were fluent in both English and German, and reacted on our wishes immediately (safe- repair and a request to dine in their other restaurant). The ferry ran on time and was free for guests of the hotel, and luggage transferral to and from the ferry also went smoothly. The carpark is a little away from the ferry but the shuttle bus runs every 15 minutes. It isnt as shady as I had hoped so if xou are there for a longer stay, bring a windshield cover against the sun. Beautiful location, and the food was good and varied each day. The breakfast was very good. All in all i highly reccomend it, and Rovinj is also beautiful to explore, with lots of restaurants to discover. Although we discovered it too late, a muchellin restaurant exists near the church, Mondo - expensive but i believe a real culinary experience. We'll be booking in there next time. There is also a good vegan restaurant in town, a bot of a cafe Flair, called Bookeria. Also, a shout out to both the diving school and sup and canoe hire. They let me keep my SUP inflated and stored alongside their gear. It made it all much easier and we both really appreciated that.

The restaurant terrace wasnt opened yet (too early in the season), but that is understandable. Also you have to be aware of the gulls, they swoop in at any oppertumity and take food from bags and from the tables! Hard to see what the staff can do about that!

All was good

The food served for a dinner was incredible good, breakfast also was very tasty. The room was clean and quite new. View from the room was amazing. Both islands have a lot of nice walking paths and fantastic swimming spots!

We were a little bit before the season so there was some work around the facility and related shortcomings (e.g. a very dirty outdoor playground or dripping water from the air conditioning in the indoor playroom - the room itself is great!). When booking it states that the rooms are non-smoking, but there are ashtrays on the balconies and cigarette smoke is very often felt outdoors (even in the closed swimming pool once time).

The location on the remote island is absolutely beautiful. The boat shuttle into Rovinj is very convenient and reliable.The staff was very nice and the breakfast was amazing. Also, the pillows in the bed were so comfortable. Usually in hotels you get a very skinny pillow but not in Island Hotel Istra; you even get two pillows per person, which makes the bed very very comfortable!

The hotel was set on a beautiful island location. Sun beds were available all over at any time of the day. The lobby and bar area were nice and relaxing with great views and breakfast was good. Good service for the boat. We mixed between the pool, harbour and beach by the pool. Beach was best, but sea shoes are a must. The sea was calm and so clear. Absolutely loved Rovinj. Lots of restaurants and gift shops. Most beautiful town I’ve ever seen and one of the nicest holidays I’ve had. The island location made it that bit more special.

The bedrooms for me were fine. Very clean. Yes a little dated but fine. I had booked to 2 superior rooms. The bathroom in one was very clean . The shower door does let water out but a towel wedged in gap sorts it. The other bathroom was a little worn with a bit of mould on the grout but mostly white. The bath was a bit tired looking. But it was clean and didn’t ruin the holiday at all.
