We were given a free upgrade upon arrival. The host came out to the reserved parking space, just short walk away from the hotel, to greet us and to assist with luggage. The hotel is located at the most central spot right next to the cathedral/ tower of the palace so much so that we awed at the landmarks thru our windows on bed or sofa. There was no elevator but the host carried the luggage for us. The room was impeccably clean and lovely. High quality brand toiletries were provided and bed and linen were of high quality. The room was very quiet throughout two nights stay. All central attractions were so close we dropped by our room for all our restroom use. We dined at Bokeria and Villa Spiza, just 2 minutes away. Breakfast included both buffet menu and egg-based dish with salad. Access to rooms was secure and decorations were attractive.

Located inside the palace which is just off the promenade along the waterfront. Sightseeing, the various attractions within the palace, good restaurants are literally steps from the hotel. We walk 5-6 minutes to meet with our guide for the island hopping boat rides which docked just 3 minutes away. In short, it’s convenient and saves us time. The hotel staff is amazingly helpful, Anna assisted us with our luggage and led us outside the palace to meet with our Uber driver. Don’t miss the breakfast, a lovely lady would prepare special local delicacy not found anywhere, we had flaky cheese pastries with fresh asparagus or sausage. Bed was very comfortable and well appointed linen and towels. We had a great stay.

The old Roman palace is a landmark and large compound. Within which are hotels, restaurants, shops, attractions etc. and there are steps involved; luckily the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful to guide and assisted us with our luggage.

Excellent and very cozy small hotel centrally located in Split, near the main points of interest. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They serve a delicious breakfast that is well-adjusted to individual preferences and dietary restrictions. This hotel is ideal for history enthusiasts, with well-preserved Roman constructions just steps away. There's also a great selection of restaurants, from casual eateries to more upscale options from right outside the door to within a short walk.

We (2 adults and 14yr daughter) stayed for 1 night from the 13th to 14th June. We arrived from Italy by ferry at 7am and planned to drop our bags at the Hotel at 8am. It's not great arriving in a city so early in the morning and was concerned over our energy levels and protentional mutiny. However, the welcome we had was exceptional (Jan) and we were sat down and given breakfast, coffee , tea and juice. Our room would be ready asap - 2pm that left us the rest of the morning to explore and visit Split. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. It was also cool that was most welcome. Jan also contacted our next accommodation so he could give us directions and confirm our arrival. On leaving we were given a postcard and gift thanking us for our stay. Nice touch. Great place to stay and wonderful staff.

Perfect location in the heart of Old Town, but still quiet tucked behind the main sights of Diocletian’s Palace. Great combination of modern facilities in a beautiful old building. Lovely breakfast. But the best thing was the staff! Jan took great care of us at check-in, making sure we knew where to park, met us at the parking spot, and helped us bring all our bags through the town to our hotel (since it’s in the pedestrian zone). He was so kind and helpful throughout our stay. On our final day for check-out, Ante took over - he was just as wonderful and helpful. Hope to come back again one day!

The location was perfect for looking around the old town. We stayed two nights (other night, April 1-2 - separate booking). The staff (Ante, Jan & Anna) were most attentive, professional, helpful with local information and most kind. The de lux double room was most comfortable with view towards the Cathedral and square. The breakfast was outstandingly with respect to options and quality. Also fruits, snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments were available Throughout the day.

Location was so ideal! You are located right in the palace walls, and our room looked out over the bell tower. The room was decorated beautifully, and the bathroom was well equipped with amenities. The staff were incredible. They let us have breakfast when we arrived early the day of check in and then stored our bags for us while we explored since our rooms weren't ready yet. They gave us a free upgrade since they had rooms available, and they helped us get to our taxis the next day when we were leaving. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and all homemade! There are stairs required, but they help with getting the luggage to your room. I honestly couldn't recommend this place enough!

The location of this hotel is wonderful for exploring the old town. It is located in a quiet courtyard near the east gate and a stones’s throw from the Bell Tower. The hotel is modern with many comforts of a luxury hotel. The staff (Jan and Ante) are very friendly and helpful in making recommendations, helping with reservations, and being gracious hosts. And the chef (Sonja) who makes breakfast is really creative and prepared a tasty spread.

This was not a problem for us, but it’s important to know this is a walk up with no elevator lift.

Amazing staff! The moment you arrive they make to sure to help you with everything! They even took their time to make our itineraries and packed food for trips earlier than the start of breakfast. They also helped us with our bags due to the many stairs of the old town. Jan was specifically helpful throughout our stay. Food was also great and so is the location! 1 min to Diocletian Palace.

How can one not praise this hotel … from the delightful, informative and kindness of the staff , the cleanliness of the room we had ( with stunning window vistas of the Palsce cathedral and bell tower ), and the array of homemade breakfast goodies , to eggs as one wished , to delicious choices of coffees and teas … nothing lacking at all . They gave information of historical overview of the Roman ruins and of Diocletian palace and its surroundings to start us off on initial visit to Split . The location of hotel was excellent as well and the staff was even willing to meet our driver’s car to help with luggage and guide us thru the curving paths to the hotel and at end of our trip in Split , they were willing to bring us to our ferry port ! Now that is great device
