The photo’s very much depicted the room we chose which was the one for 3 people. It was beautiful and very clean! The location was also wonderful- right in the heart of the palace grounds and a UNESCO world heritage spot. The best part though was Luca the owner. He arranged to pick us up as well as delivering us to our sailboat marina and also transported our daughter to the airport. He was extremely helpful in so many ways and you should definitely stay at the Pylon Rooms.

Booking.com stated that it was a Bed and Breakfast but it is not. That’s not Luca’s fault though.

Our stay included a breakfast at a restaurant where the staff was great and the food was good. Staff at the Plylon was excellent and very helpful. The location was perfect. The bed was very comfortable. We were able to get a block of rooms for all in our group which worked out perfectly.

The only negative was the black mold in the shower. The owner already noted that they will be addressing that. Other than that, no complaints. Room sizes were small as one would expect in this area so I would not consider that a negative. I was just a little hard to move around in the bathroom but all the rooms are different so I am speaking of just one room not all.

The location is perfect for exploring Split within the palace walls. We found the apartment comfortable and quiet. There was good communication from our host Luka. We really enjoyed complimentary breakfast at the cafe- 3 different ala carte options with generous serves, come with coffee and juice.

Only minor things but stairs are the obvious challenge (we stayed second floor) a but limited space to get around. Nothing new to old European areas which we are used to .

The Pylon rooms apartment was great. Super easy to find, great location in the old town of Split, walking distance to everything from the bus terminal to beaches, restaurants, bars, historic areas, the whole lot. The room was nice and quiet considering the location, bathroom was simple but nice, exposed stone walls gave the place a little additional rustic character. Breakfast was included at a restaurant nearby, nice and simple. Our hosts were fantastic, we stored luggage in the nearby office saving some storage dollars and time and got a lift to the airport at the end of the last day. Fantastic stay, would definitely recommend, and would certainly consider this one again.

It’s location within Diocletian palace makes it an extraordinary place to stay. Because it’s a pedestrian precinct. I found myself walking everywhere and this created an entirely different experience that a place where there is extensive public transport and vehicular travel. The room was spotlessly, clean, and beautifully decorated in a minimalist style. It is a room not an entire apartment, but it’s one of the most comfortable and delightful places. I have stayed in the last few years. Beyond the actual property, my interactions with the owner manager, Luca and other staff Dei - were, without exception, extremely positive. I felt they really cared about my experience, staying at the pylon rooms as I was treated as honoured guest.

Nothing! Initially wifi was not a speedy as one might like, but this was remedied immediately.

Very well located in centre of old town. Extremely clean,comfortable bed. Nice touches such as slippers. The breakfast is at a lovely cafe bar a stones throw away in the roman part of the town. Luca was very helpful and informative. Great to get driven back to the airport.

Bathroom very small and restricted. We were on the lower floor and could hear noise from the apartment above. Also because there is limited space inside the little hallway other residents were banging into our door. The apartment was a little hard to find. I think it is ideal for a one or two night stay as could get claustrophobic if longer

I like the attentiveness of our host, Luka... He accommodated our request for an hour earlier check in and a 30- minute extension for check out. Thanks Luka.

It could have been nice for our rooms to be near each other as we are 7 friends travelling together for the first time. But this is Diocletian Palace & we have to adjust, Its not the host's nor booking's control on the room locations.

Luka was exceptional in his communication prior to arriving. On request he organised a transfer pick up from Split airport to Pylon Rooms, communicated expected arrivals times and was accommodating to my flight’s 2 hour delay. The driver Ivan was very friendly and polite, greeting me at the arrivals hall, bringing me to Pylon Rooms, carrying my suitcase up the flight of stairs to the room which was most appreciated after 24 hours of travel. Breakfast included at local restaurant 200m away was also lovely.

Clean, comfortable and stylish. Right in the heart of things whilst being perfectly quiet.

Don't bother with the breakfast. The cafe directly below is much better. Especially if you are a coffee fan.

Luka Krolo is an excellent host/manager. He made our stay very comfortable. He was very responsive and available at all times. The location of Pylon Rooms is amazing. The experience of staying inside a medieval palace seems very out of the ordinary. The vibe and the energy of shops and restaurants in the alleyways made a very memorable vacation in Split. I will recommend this to all my friends and colleagues! Thank you Luka!
