Excellent UNESCO 4 Star hotel in historic Zadar - beautiful historic hotel decorated with art through out the hotel. Staff members - Sasha, Elaina and Roko extremely helpful in sites and history of Zadar. Rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, and large. Breakfast wonderful and highlights of City within 1 or 2 blocks of hotel. Parking onsite for small fee, you can drive directly to hotel and valet included in daily parking fee of $13 euros/day. During non peak, you can find parking for less within several blocks. Extremely great hotel and staff, thank you all for a memorable stay, many thanks! We will come back to this hotel for longer stay- great restaurant on site as well!

The location is perfect for exploring the old town, the hotel was quiet, comfortable beds, and we slept very well. The communal areas in the hotel are nicely designed with good art.

The restaurant is separate from the hotel even though you can hear and see iit operating from your room. Here the service was very slow (an hour for breakfast - no buffet) and the evening meal service also slow and food was ok. The room with mezzanine was comfortable and functional with a partiall sea/partial kitchen yard view, Going up and down stairs from bed to bathroom is not the one for us anymore as we're knocking on a bit and often need to make that trip in the middle of the night.

This was our first stay at the property, but hopefully not our last. The hotel and location are lovely, you are just a few minutes walk from the Sea Organ and the bustle, but the hotel is calm and lovely. The breakfast each morning in the beautiful dining room and gardens was wonderful, I would recommend booking a dinner there are well as that meal was a highlight of our trip. Finally, I have to mention the staff, Elena at the front was wonderful and we enjoyed every interaction with her.

Perfectly located beautiful boutique hotel with charme, great interieur and unique flair. Had a great room with balcony in the extension building. Top cleaning by the housekeeping team. Very good breakfast and singular atmosphere.

Why is - at such a place within this category of hotel standard - one glass of freshly pressed orange juice at breakfast additionally charged? This does not fit into the hotel concept.

The rooms are modern, comfortable beds, amazing showers and the breakfast is delicious! All the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The location is well placed for exploring the old town.

The only improvement I would suggest is that the curtains don't fully cover the window space, so the room is light from early morning.

Great location and helpful staff. Room was lovely and you had plenty of space to spread out. The outside garden restaurant was an added bonus and so relaxing.

The safe deposit box was so high you couldn’t get to it, when there were lower shelves that it could have been easier to have been installed there.

The most beautiful hotel in our Croatia-Slovenia tour! Just amazing… We chose to stay in the dépendance whose rooms are renovated with unique and sophisticated style, with a Liberty taste. We enjoyed the terrace so much that we would hardly leave the room… Almayer has all that you need and will remain the best memory of Zadar for us. The breakfast in the courtyard was superlative and for dinner - after trying hard to find a better option - we also enjoyed the hotel restaurant, in the winter garden: a fantastic gastronomic experience, with a really talented chef! The only reason you may have to leave this place is to see the Sea Organ (2 min walk) or Saint Anastasia cathedral (3 min walk). I don’t understand some past reviews with negative comments on the bathroom towels as they are of excellent quality, made of organic cotton and high hand design.

We loved our stay at the Almayer Art & Heritage Dependance - the room was very comfortable. Its design and layout were very modern and well-designed. We also liked the art pieces displayed at the hotel. The breakfast area was great: one could opt to stay inside or outside in the garden area. The staff were super gentle and friendly. One should try the hotel's restaurant: their dishes were refined and delicious. The location of the hotel is just right as it's walking distance from the main centre of Zadar.

A lot of the charm of the hotel comes from it 1)some rooms overlooking the square 2) the delightful ambience of the Corte restaurant which serves hotel guests 3) being in the old town and near the Sea Organ Large,well appointed room - probably consider expensive by Croatian standards Liked having hot tea and coffee stand right outside our room

We loved the location. We liked our room. We liked the breakfast and the wait staff in the restaurant.

We had chosen a loft suite so we knew there would be stairs to the bedroom but there were more than expected. Bathroom on the ground floor, so had to go down lots of stairs to use the toilet in the middle of the night. Towels could have been better quality for price we were paying.
