It was okay and functional. The staff was wonderful and helped us a lot even with the whole concert event that had the whole city collapsed. We were leaving the next day really early and the location so close to the bus center is just perfect, 5 minute walk. The SOS signal in the bathroom was something special we haven't seen before and it's worth an applause.

The spaces are kinda narrow, we booked a regular room so I get it is not the biggest, but yet it was very small for both of us and our luggage. The bed wasn't the comfiest. Nevertheless for one night and an early bus departure it did the trick!

The hotel has a great location. It's just a few minutes walk from the Flix bus stop and a few tram stops away from the Upper Town so I found it very easy to do the sight seeing while spending only one night in Zagreb.

I'm a solo traveller and the room I stayed in was quite small and basic. The central aircon wasn't turned on because it was scheduled for mid-May and it was very warm in the room. I found that the heated towel rack was on so it could be why. I tried to open the window but it was stuck half way when someone tried to open it previously. A sign that house keeping wasn't attending to details. Luckily the lady at the reception came up and sorted it out after asking her colleague. The room and bathroom were basically clean though not perfect. Unfortunately the bedside lamp also didn't work so I can't say it was a perfect stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and approachable, always ready to help with a smile. The room was spotless — super clean, fresh, and very comfortable. The location is absolutely amazing, close to everything I needed, with easy access to local attractions and transport. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay!

The staff were amazing! We arrived around 9pm, checked out the next day around 9am, and returned to pick up our bags around 2pm. We encountered 3 different front desk agents and all were friendly and helpful. When we arrived, the front desk agent gave us an upgrade, answered all our questions, and gave a great recommendation for a drink a short walk away. The morning agent was able to store our bags and check us out. When we returned for our bags, the agent was able to give us some water for the road. I was in hospitality for 8 years; Hotel National exceeded all expectations and was very affordable. Thank you so much for the wonderful, but short, stay!

We were pleasantly surprised by the room - a very reasonable size for the price, ans the bed, shower etc were all modern and comfortable. Staff were very friendly throughout our short stay, and helped us get into our room quickly, and stored our luggage for us the next day. We liked the location - literally a couple of minutes' walk from the central bus station. It's not in the historical city centre but there are some nice places for breakfast etc very close by.

No elevator! Though we had been warned about this.

The room was nice and the décor was modern. The wifi worked fine and the staff at reception were very pleasant. The hotel is located in a quiet street only 5 minutes walk from Zagreb Bus Station, and that includes the time waiting for the lights at the pedestrian crossing to go green. This is very handy if you wish to get the first bus of the day to Plitvice Lakes at about 5:30 AM! There are a couple of 24-hour bakeries near the bus station which is most useful if one fancies a late night snack.

Zagreb city centre is over 30 minutes walk, however there are frequent trams from outside the bus station.

I always book this hotel for my elderly parents traveling to and from Croatia.They love it,everything is excellent but mostly staff members. My mother's plane was very late last time and even thought they didn't have night shift they waited for her to come and check in cause they assumed that all the self-check in thing would be 2 complicated for her. I mean, there is not many places offering that type of out of their way service.

The location is pretty much near the main bus station in a quiet alley, the rooms are clean and prompt service. The rooms are decently spacious for a couple of days stop. There are many variety of rooms, which can be chosen as per budget and comfort.

There aren't any elevators but we didn't have any problem since we had 2 cabin sized luggage only.

This was the perfect stay for my first night in Croatia. I arrived in the early evening and friendly desk staff were on duty. My room was on the second floor (no elevator, which was fine with me). The room was clean and adequate sized, with a comfortable bed and energy saving features, and a good-sized bathroom. Parking was available just a short walk away and the location was walkable to restaurants and shops. With a little more walking I was easily able to sightsee around the city.

If you are leaving Zagreb by bus, as we did, really early in the morning the location is great for this, it is really few steps from bus terminal and also not really far from the center, especially if you use tram. Hotel itself was fine.

The bathroom could have been better maintained, but nothing really serious. The only thing that disappointed me a little was the communication of the staff, because we reached Zagreb relatively early in the morning (before check-in) and I was told a day earlier that an earlier check-in might be possible, but that only the early shift would write to me whether we can really check in earlier. No one has contacted me, I would appreciate at least a message that earlier check-in is not possible.
