The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was well equipped and the towels were large, thick and soft. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice. A buffet as well as being able to order off the menu. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of the main square as well as the bus and railway stations. The spas were very good and booking was easy. Wi-Fi worked well.

On the 2 occasions we used the bar, after waiting a considerable time, we had to go in search of staff for service. The time that we ordered cocktails the young lady, who was probably mainly in the restaurant, had to resort to some on line instructions for content and method. The relaxation space in the Spa room had discarded slippers, overflowing towel basket, dirty cups and glasses, and empty water and tea containers, despite the fact the Spa had been booked in advance. Minor annoyances were, a couple more accessible sockets would be good and the noise of the trams was audible, although I think this would be hard to eradicate. If you are a 5 star hotel charging 5 star prices, then you need to deliver 5 star service and during our stay this standards were not met.

Great hotel, large and comfortable bed, spacious room, very clean. The staff was very polite, friendly and did a great job while being very discreet. The sauna was also a plus. You can book it for the time you want and it also was very clean. The breakfast was really good with many options for everyone. Also great bar area- it could easily be a bar I would go for my drink. The location is perfect if you want to be close to the centre as it is only a short walk away.

The room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Staff were pleasant and professional.

Even though we had given plenty of notice that we are vegetarian and I am gluten intolerant, there was little choice at dinner. The first night I was offered roast vegetables followed by risotto and the second the offering was risotto followed by roast vegetables! The same desert was offered both times. The cafe down the road did a lot better than this. On the final day of our stay we ordered a vegetarian takeaway breakfast which we opened on a train: ham and cheese sandwiches! This is a lovely hotel but for us it was let down by the restaurant.

We stayed for two nights on our way back from Dubrovnik and Split. Nice, spacious room with comfortable beds and all the necessary amenities. Bathroom was clean and a good size with decent shower pressure. The location was convenient in a nice, quiet area slightly away from the central noise but within walking distance of all the attractions. Staff were friendly and available to help.

No real complaints, perhaps the carpet in the rooms could do with a refresh.

The building has ample space in the hallways, high ceilings, and wide doors, which all contribute to its overall appeal. Our room was spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's location is ideal, situated in the heart of the town, with parks, restaurants, beautiful buildings, bus and tram stops, and shops within walking distance. Breakfast offered a satisfying variety of options to choose from. The sauna area is pleasant. It is necessary to reserve a time slot for it, ensuring that it is private and available for your use during that hour. There are two saunas available, a Finnish and a Turkish one, and you can even adjust the light color in the relaxation area to your liking. The masseuse provided an exceptional experience.

On the second day of breakfast at the diner, the staff struggled to keep up with the demand. Tables were unprepared for new guests, and there was a shortage of glasses and cups. We found ourselves waiting quite a while for juice. It would greatly benefit the staff to receive training on optimizing their work in order to meet all the requirements efficiently. Trams frequently pass by the building, causing noises and vibrations that can be felt even on the first floor where we were staying. To mitigate the disturbance, I resorted to using earplugs to ensure uninterrupted sleep. It might be helpful if the hotel could provide earplugs to guests, considering that there is little they can do about the noise from the trams. Despite this issue, everything else about the hotel was quite enjoyable.

Excellence. The room was spacious and well appointed. Very nice and roomy toilet with walk in shower. Staff were excellent - professional and personal, not cold. Very willing to help. Breakfast was superb - A full buffet with the possibility of asking for eggs and coffee of any variety (eggs Benedict were wonderful!) Location is in downtown area with easy walking to historical center. I was just in Paris and spent as much on a cheap hotel as this excellent one. I would probably return to Zagreb simply for the hotel experience.

The hotel was well located near the centre of Zagreb and within walking distance of the historical city. Our suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. In the bar, the service was first class. Evening meals in the restaurant were good with a prompt friendly service. At reception the service was professional, efficient, friendly and even humorous. The laundry service was first class.

The breakfast room was large and spacious and a wide variety of food, including sparkling wine, was offered. Whilst table service for coffee and eggs cooked to order was said to be available, the table staff often seemed distracted. A restaurant supervisor would probably rectify this issue.

Not 5-star level. We chose this hotel to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it would have been nice for the staff to acknowledge the occasion, at least with a simple ‘Happy Birthday.’ Room service food was poor value for money and was served almost cold. The air conditioning didn’t work, so we had to open the window, which was quite noisy outside. Additionally, parking costs €30 per night, which is quite expensive compared to other 5-star hotels in Zagreb.

Breakfast was amazing, great selection, loved the sparkling wine as an option! Spring dinner was lovely although portions were quiet small. Excellent service from Kresilmir. All staff were very friendly. A shining light in a very dirty street.

My husband had to stop the massage within a couple of minutes because the masseuse couldn’t understand English. He has a bad back and didn’t want his back touched. My earlier communication with the hotel said he could choose the massage he wanted but she didn’t understand so his 30 minutes was wasted

Beautiful hotel and rooms, great breakfast, prompt, outstanding service, perfect location! I had read that customer service was an issue in Zagreb, definitely not the case at Le Premier. If you stay there, please tip the staff generously as they go above and beyond! :)

The room was mostly clean, only issue was the heated towel rail which wasn't being cleaned and full of dust. Double bed was two twin beds next to each other which was not the most comfortable. Besides these two small items, everything was perfect!
