The hotel was very convenient, as it was close to the train station and about a 15-minute walk from the historic center, passing through beautiful little parks along the way. It had all the comforts we needed, with a pleasant surprise being the modern bathroom stocked with good quality toiletries, which made it feel like taking a nice, relaxing shower at home. There were also lovely decorative touches on the walls, bed, and ceiling, with warm lighting that created a cozy atmosphere. We also appreciated that on some floors there was access to drinking water and ice, which made it easy to refill the jug in our room whenever we needed.

The beds were a bit smaller than we’re used to (the room had two double beds), so they could feel a bit tight for guests who are bigger or taller.

Everything kept us satisfied, the room was fully equipped , breakfast was quite lavish, mainly American type. The hotel is located in the city center, in a walking distance of about 10 minutes from the heart of the city and main parks . The staff was extremely polite and helpful. We stayed on the 4th floor , a family of four, room was spacious and clean.

What we really did not like was the smell from the toilets on transfer lounge, next to the Gum at -1 floor. We went there after check out to leave our luggage since our flight was late in the afternoon. The odour was nasty. It does not live up to the expectations and the hotel's prestige and status. I think the cleanladies should focus more on the cleaning in this area.

Excellent hotel close to the city centre and conveniently located next to a tram stop on a line which passes the main Zagreb bus terminal, which was my main reason for choosing this property. The check-in was efficient and I was able to store my luggage on my early arrival. The room was very comfortable, nicely decorated (my room had a cute little model Croatian steam train) and the shower was good. The breakfast at this hotel was excellent which set me up well for the day. I also made use of the bar on the ground floor which includes a small outdoor terrace.

I could not get the WiFi to work despite using the password provided. However this was only a minor inconvenience.

. housekeeping cleaning the room next to mine at 7.15 hrs on sunday - i went to speak to the lady who was apologetic but too late i was awake. can we find a way to enjoy the "sleep" tag we put on the door + the check-out time of noon to catch up on sleep (i know housekeeping has a job to do, but that early ? let them lie in too !!) - dinner at their restaurant was just ok, i wouldn't eat there again FYI - the hotel is a little out of the center, so not a lot of dining options right outside

The fact that Parking is stated as one of the facilities. Parking is NOT free of charge, it is payed 20 euros per day. I don’t think it’s fair to list it as a facility, because following that logic, every hotel should have parking as a facility, because there is always some parking nearby.

Canopy Hotel is very comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was new and spotless, and the bed, sheets, and pillows were extremely comfortable. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, but I had lunch at their restaurant and it was excellent. Free parking in the garage was also a great bonus. There were occasionally not enough coffee spoons in the room, so we had to ask for more several times. Also, since we left the room a bit later (around 11 a.m.), housekeeping skipped cleaning our room that day. Despite that, the staff was very kind and helpful throughout our stay.

- 100 euros deposit when we checked in, in case we order something from the bar... Very unpleasant gesture in my opinion. - Noise coming form the streets, cause the hotel is located in front of a busy highway with trams and cars. Windows are isolating the majority of the sounds, but still you can hear some, even from the 5th floor. - You can t control the temperature in the room. You can turn it on or off and control the speed of air. It was sooo hot inside the room on January, we had to open the window every now or then, for cold air to refresh the hot one.

The walk-in shower in the bathroom was superb. Extra items like flannels, good quality tissues, and hand cream were appreciated, as were hooks for 2 towels next to the shower entry. Our room had a very comfortable bed, a clock (thank you so much for that), a window that opened a little, and a big TV screen. Lots of foreign language channels available including one that had English language TV shows, and other channels that provided news. Breakfast was available 7-10am and there were hot items like scrambled eggs, as well as strukli, a traditional Croatian dish. Cold items like cereal, breads, yoghurt and fruit were also on offer. The hotel was about 10 minutes walk from the Central Bus Station, and the same distance from the old town. We caught the bus back to the airport, but finding the platform from where it leaves was difficult, as it was not listed on the information boards. We asked and were told it leaves from Platform 201. It doesn't, but it is nearby. Look towards a fenced area next door to the bus station. The airport bus leaves from inside there. The name of the company that runs the service is Pleso Prijevoz. Bus costs 8 Euros per adult, which makes Uber a good option if there are 2 of you. Cost is around 20 Euros to get from the airport to the hotel.

When we walked into the hotel, we had no idea where to check in. There was no sign that said 'Reception' and all we could see was a bar/restaurant on the left side, and to the right what looked like 3 hotel guests working at a computer station. We approached cautiously because we didn't like to disturb other guests, but needed to ask if they knew where to check in. Those 3 hotel guests were Reception Staff. It was a weird set up. However staff were very pleasant and helpful. The view from our room was of other rooms, so not ideal.

Hotel was great - 10 minute walk from City Center, close to restaurants etc... We didn't use public transportation, just walked between hotel and city center. Hotel was clean, staff friendly, breakfast in the restaurant was great. Rooms were large and comfortable. Lattes from the bar were excellent :-)

It was exceptionally hot, Europe was having a heatwave. The ice machines on floors 2 and 4 were broken :-( But the bar always gave us plenty of ice. We just had to go downstairs to get it.

Only needed a place for a night as we were on our way to Slovenia. We had stayed elsewhere in Zagreb previously, which was very good, but this hotel was two tram stops away from the bus station and so, very handy for our arrival and ongoing travel. Plus the midday check out was nice. The hotel has a very arty vibe and the staff are great. The art works and decor touches are very modern and funky, the ice stations on two floors are a nice touch, and the room was a good size for two people plus suitcases. Beautiful bathroom, great restaurant for dinner (steak was perfect), and breakfast had great choices. Would go back in a heart beat.
