We liked pretty much everything, especially the delightful, kind, friendly, helpful and hard working staff. We liked the library itself. We thought that our room (no 12) with its little balcony, was great. We liked the hotel's distinctive individual character. We liked the location at the heart of the village of Kalavasos.

There was nothing we did not like. We would have preferred hotter coffee, but when we asked, that was provided.

The Library Hotel is conveniently situated in a village between Larnaca and Limassol, offering a nice balance between accessibility and a peaceful rural setting. This location allows guests to explore both major cities while enjoying a more authentic Cypriot village experience. While the room decor was somewhat dated, it was well-maintained and impeccably clean. This demonstrates the hotel's commitment to guest comfort despite the need for modernization. The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the staff. Their kindness and attentiveness greatly enhanced the overall experience. The warm hospitality provided by the hotel employees made guests feel welcome and valued. The Library Hotel offers a pleasant stay for those looking for a quiet retreat in Cyprus. While it may not boast the most modern amenities, its strengths lie in its unique location, cleanliness, and exceptional staff. It's a good choice for travelers who appreciate personal touches and don't mind slightly older accommodations.

Staff were very welcoming; loved how tastefully upgraded the beautiful old building was; loved the village location; breakfast was just right (no evening meal taken); very relaxing.

Not a fan of bath robes so would have preferred better quality towels - and somewhere to dry them. Cypriot accommodation seems to be a bit short of radiators 🤔. On same theme, would have welcomed the fire being lit (it was December). We experienced noise issues with the air conditioning units trying to heat the place.

A caring and welcoming staff - especially the cheery house keeper - in a calm and relaxing atmosphere.; Ideal location for a grown-up family getaway for a few days and good central point for visits, walks, etc.; one in our party used the spa/massage service and rates it highly; ate dinner at the hotel only once, but a great meal; dealt with gluten-free diets very well with stock of bread, cornflakes, etc.; good restaurants just a pace away in the village square.

Friday night parking around the hotel got tight as the holiday lets and restaurants filled up; recommend reservation for weekend/holiday evenings in village restaurants.

The room was fine, a cosy room in a vintage residence. We were on the lower floor, having easy access to the central garden and the reception. The place is beautiful. The breakfast was tasty and felt like being at home and enjoying some relaxing moments. However, they can still add variety in their buffet. We are very thankful to the staff, and especially to Marie who was so smiling, friendly, kind and helpful to us. Chatting with her makes the guests feeling so welcome! If one has or rents a car, it is suggestable to drive around the village and the ones around it. Otherwise, one can walk and hike in the village to reach the beauty in the corners of Cyprus.

The spa was somehow a disappointing experience: Jacuzzi in our room was not functioning at all - neither its warm water. Nevertheless, we truly appreciated that the manager offered us a spa treatment to recover the loss of this value. However, in the spa the showers and hairdryers were not functioning either. The sauna reaches a maximum of 35 degrees so it was not really felt and they were lacking facilities that other residences offer - a cup of tea or water with fresh lime after the spa for example, or a proper resting area with soft lighting. Eliminating what the spa was lacking everything else was great.

The Library Hotel is a one-off which is just what we wanted. It's set in what would usually be a quiet, pretty village. We arrived on the day of a local public holiday, so the main street through the town (and to the hotel) was closed to traffic and parking was at a premium. Even so, we managed to squeeze in fairly close-by. All the staff were incredibly friendly and we were on first name terms with Marie within minutes of arriving. The breakfast was much better and more varied than we were expecting. The courtyard setting was lovely. We had a big room, with lots of character and a huge whirlpool bath which (conscious of how much water it would take to fill) we only used for showers.

We ate in the hotel restaurant the first night. The dinner was pleasant, though I would have liked some choice (other than mushroom soup followed by meatballs). We ate in the village the second night, and this was even more basic.

The location is fabulous, in a very picturesque village & opposite the church. There is a restaurant on site, but also a great taverna literally 1 minute walk away. The hotel restaurant did a set menu, the soup & dessert was very nice, the main course was ok & the breakfast was good. The room was lovely & comfortable. Fridge, coffee/tea provided & kettle, but no milk. There is a unique feature to this room, whereby the lift opens with access directly to the room. There is a lovely courtyard & a plunge pool, which would be great to use through summer. All staff were very polite & helpful.

We tried to book spa treatments over a week in advance & were informed on multiple occasions that someone would call to confirm. We finally received a message a day before to say they could not accommodate our request. This is the only thing we were disappointed by.

Everything to be honest! It was the perfect weekend for relaxation! The room is spacious with a lovely much needed spa bath! Everything is served fresh in breakfast, they provide a set menu for dinner for only 19.90, and the food is delicious! And most important for us was the staff! Ariadni in the morning shift and Anna at the night shift made sure that we had everything we needed anytime, always with a smile on their face! And Mairi the cleaning lady that she was paying attention to every detail and made sure that the rooms were perfectly cleaned and restocked with everything we need! We are definitely be going back!

I liked the charming courtyard and how comfortable the room was

The bin in the toilet was left open, which caused a bad smell throughout the bathroom. The lighting was also very old — but not in a cool, vintage way. Additionally, the breakfast was quite limited, with few healthy options, and only filter coffee was available.

The staff was really kind. The hotel's environment and vibe serve a true relaxation.

Overall our stay met our expectations, however, I think there is room to improve the rooms of the hotel. For example some extra decoration would make them more cozy or our bathroom had a few details which need to be fixed (i.e. the porcelain of the sink was broken).
