Wonderful Spring in Prag We stayed at Orion Hotel for 5 days and 4 nights and had a great time as the hotel is very neat and the apartments are really spacious and well equipped. The breakfast room was really tiny and in the basement, but nevertheless the buffet was rich and altering every day with lovely home made cakes and lovely staff to clean and fill up the buffet or help with anything. Because the hotel is in a non-touristic corner of town, it has a very mellow vibe and one can really dive into the Prague vibe with mini-markets, lovely small cafés and various restaurants just around the corner. It will take you a 20-25 minutes to walk downtown or you can take the subway from the station (3 minutes walk) which will take you max. 5 minutes. And finally to our highlight of our stay at Orion Hotel: This was a young guy called “Andrej”, who we met at the reception on the first day of our stay as we checked in. He was so friendly and enthusiastic to point out interesting opportunities and highlights of “his” city, which increased our anticipation of the stay even more. Thank you Hotel Orion - if we visit Prague, we will love to stay at your location again

Optimisation potential: There are no smart options to plug electronic devices like smartphones or laptops, f.ex. one had to unplug the connector for the light next to the bed so one could plug in the cell phone over night - but like that you did not have a bed light. We would recommend to give all breakfast staff a short training at the beginning of the season and to teach them the basic words / sentences in English, so if a guest asks them something, they are empowered to have a simple conversation

I recently stayed at Hotel Orion in Prague and had an exceptional experience! The location was perfect for exploring the city, with easy access to major attractions. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with all necessary amenities. The breakfast offered a delicious variety of options to start each day. Overall, Hotel Orion provided outstanding value and made my Prague visit truly memorable. Highly recommended!

Breakfast changed daily with a lot of variety. It was always tasty and filling and we ate and drank as much as we required. We particularly liked that much of the food was locally sourced. Our favourite was the blueberry pies and the coffee machine was used often. Our apartment was large, well-equipped, perfect for our family's stay. It offered two large bedrooms, a kitchen area and also a shower and bath combined. There was a lift to the rooms as well as stairs. The location was perfect for traveling into the center of the city by the excellent tram service or walking. A bonus was that the hotel had vouchers for a great selection of nearby restaurants and bars within walking distance from our hotel. The reception staff was very helpful in answering questions and by the first evening, we had already been given maps and lots of leaflets about activities to do during our stay.

Our stay here was excellent! The place I stay when I travel plays a pivotal role in the overall memory of the trip. And I am thankful Hotel Orion is now part of my good travel memories. The apartment super clean and huge. Kitchen was big, clean and packed with everything you might need. I absolutely adored the interior style with white doors and high ceilings. It makes you feel like you are traveling back in time. Breakfast was very delicious and had different food variety every day. For me it is fundamental to be clean. All the ladies working in the kitchen did a very very good job on keeping the food refilled, clean, organized and everything else. Staff was friendly and available at every time. 10/10 would recommend!!

Not a single thing that I didn’t like!

The best thing is the friendly and very helpful staff!! 24/7 Reception was really great, and they did make searches in Czech when I needed help looking for specific things in town. Breakfast was our favorite, with free unlimited espresso, juices, and tea. Occasionally we enjoyed eating it at our room too, and returned the plates on next day, so we can add some other ingredients to personalize our meals. Location was really great! If you want to tour around the city, tram 22 is the key tram which goes to national theatre (where the box office opens even during summer to sell tickets to opera or ballet), stops also at Prague castle, main metro stations on the other side of river which connects to metro. While Namesti Miru metro station is just 5 min walk from the hotel, but I preferred to ride my favorites tram 22 from Namesti Miru, just one stop ride because there are my favorite DM shop selling cheap necessities including some organic food, another very reasonable gelato shop, and sea food shop, and several small grocery shops that I get good stuff, and walking to the hotel from there is my favorite Vietnamese sushi restaurant that I can take away. Just remember Namesti Miru has no elevator if you are coming from airport. The stations near by to have elevator are either Museum (one stop before Namesti Miru) or I.P. Pavlova (metro line C that goes to Prague main station). But although I.P. Pavlova is one of convenient hub stations, I find it too crowded and too commercial and too tight in between buildings. I don’t prefer staying in that location. I also don’t recommend staying in old town because so much smoking, noise even until late night, occasionally I witnessed bold guppies held an arm of someone. And all the transportation are far away. Tram 6 was running through it, but this summer 2024, they stopped the operation because of construction project at middle of Wenceslas square.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. LOCATION: charming residential neighbourhood, walking distance (or few stops by train) from the historic centre. Close to all the sites, yet no rowdy tourists causing havoc underneath your windows in the middle of the night. ROOM: effectively small apartments - big bedroom, kitchen, bathroom with shower, clean, comfy, functional elegance, plenty of storage, good wifi, TV set, safety box. BREAKFAST: fantastic, they bake three different types of cakes every day right there, wide section of both savoury and sweet; STAFF: very friendly and professional. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

No issues. I thought innitially that we might struggle withou air con. However, in spite of 36 Celsius outside, the combination of thick walls and the fan did the job just fine.

What a great find, Hotel Orion exceeded our expectations. The hotel is very convenient for public transport - both metro and trams. It was great to have space to spread out and sit in the bedroom and the little eat-in kitchen was fully supplied and with a refrigerator, an added bonus. Two other things we particularly liked was the breakfast, really ample and varied from day to day, and the cleanliness in general. The whole hotel sparkled. The vibe here was just very welcoming and cozy. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

There is nothing at all to complain about

Everything was great, we really loved our stay at the Orion hotel! The apartment was as expected: 2 big rooms with separate kitchen, separate shower and separate bathroom. Clean, bright, quiet and almost fully equipped (the washing machine is at -1 floor). It was great for 3 adults and 2 small kids (1 and 4.5 y/o). We requested a crib and a highchair and it was there as expected upon arrival. The apartment got cleaned everyday by a very nice staff. There is an option for breakfast in the hotel which was good: it had eggs, meats, cheese and the usual suspects. The variety is not big but something changes every day so you won't get bored quickly. The location is superb - close to public transportation, there is a 24/7 groceries store nearby and a great park. Also lots of cute pubs and restaurants. There is 24/7 reception in the hotel with nice and helping staff. We would definitely come back!

There is 1 washing machine for all apartments in the hotel and it seems like the staff is using it as well. We didn't manage to use it as it was always occupied. And there is no drier or hanging place for wet laundry. We ended up using a laundromat 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

The location of Hotel Orion is perfect, with plenty of places to dine out in the area. The hotel is located on a very quiet street where the atmosphere is good and the locals are very friendly. The metro/subway is just minutes away by foot right next to the Bazilika sv. Ludmily and a fabulous restaurant, Vinohradský Parlament. Supermarkets, bars and restaurants are all close to hand. There is a beautiful park Grébovka (Havlíčkovy sady) located just 5 minutes away which is definitely worth visiting. The staff in the hotel were courteous and helpful, always willing to go above and beyond. A special shout-out to Katya and Andrej, and the very cheerful Sylvie who always had a smile on her face. Our apartment was very quiet and spacious enough for two. Breakfast was buffet-style and bountiful. Being Irish, and loving our tea, we were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the black tea was! Overall, a great experience. We would recommend Hotel Orion to anyone and would definitely stay here again.

Perhaps the apartment could do with an update as the decor is quite old-fashioned. The floors creaked noisily, especially in the kitchen. There is no full-length mirror in the apartment, the only mirror being the bathroom mirror. However, none of this impacted negatively on our stay. This is a gorgeous place to stay.

We travelled as a family with a 2 years old child. The overall experience was satisfying. The small apartment is spacious and clean. We could leave the stroller in the entrance floor and had kitchen and bed room for us. The hotel also have a small elevator. The breakfast was sufficient for such a small sized hotel and very tasty. The stuff were always smiling and supportive. I booked the hotel due to the reviews, especially the convenient transportation connection. Just walk 3 min to the tram station and then you can go everywhere. There you also find small supermarkets. Best is to buy tram tickets in the hotel, on the tram it can get complicated.
