This is a wonderful property overlooking Elephantine Island and the Nile. Fantastic breakfasts, and I appreciated the humor and service of our breakfast server, Ramadan. If you can, go to the restaurant Panorama or just that and great food!

While I’ve never had housekeeping randomly deliver extra towels when not asked for (it felt more like a request for a tip then just going above and beyond - but this may be my bias), still, the hotel is overall lovely and the little things like having a chocolate hour or ice cream available in the lobby says so much about the impeccable care and service they aspire to.

Our stay at this resort was truly exceptional, and the location played a huge part in that. We were lucky to get Nile view rooms, and waking up to that breathtaking scenery every day made the experience incredibly memorable and well worth it. The sense of peace and serenity from the view alone added so much value to our stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. They were warm, professional, and went out of their way to accommodate our needs—including a late check-out, which we really appreciated. Every interaction we had with them reflected their sincere commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction. The breakfast spread each morning was impressive, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. What stood out the most was their thoughtfulness in catering to guests with early excursions—particularly for Abu Simbel. They not only offered a 3 AM breakfast service but also provided packed breakfast boxes for those on the go, which was incredibly convenient and thoughtful. The resort itself is tucked away in a location that feels very exclusive and peaceful, far from the noise and crowds, yet it remains accessible. The private ferry service to and from the main parking area was prompt, well-managed, and added a touch of uniqueness to the experience—it made us feel like we were on a private island retreat. After long days of sightseeing and travel, the resort’s spa was a true sanctuary. I had one of the best foot massages I’ve ever experienced—deeply relaxing and much needed after a full day of walking. It was the perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. Also they have a 4 pm chocolate hour which my kids loved! All in all, our stay here was more than just accommodation—it felt like a peaceful escape that left us refreshed, well cared for, and full of beautiful memories. We would absolutely love to return and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Just a minor inconvenience worth mentioning—the bathroom lights were quite bright, and with a glass panel at the top, the light spilled into the room at night, which made it a bit tricky to use without disturbing others. The shower drainage was also a little slow, but neither issue took away from the overall comfort and enjoyment of our stay.

Exceptional in every way, but most importantly the staff. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, but I would like to mention in particular Esraa, guest relations employee in the new building, who was super helpful, very friendly and so much dedicated to her work. keep up the great work Esraa.

The only drawback was the bathroom lights, which were so bright, and not blocked from the main room because only separated by transparent glass. So practically when one person wakes up at night to visit the toilet, the whole room will be lit by very bright light. Not a big deal but worth mentioning.

The ferry service and check-in process was seamless and painless. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is wonderful and the outdoor seating area is superb. We used the spa services for massage and it was quite affordable. The view from our room balconies was beautiful. We stayed at the "new" Movenpick, not the tower. It is a well-decorated, environment friendly and well-maintained property. I liked the attention to details - assigning our 4 rooms close to each other on the same floor, getting the types of bed (twin/double) right for each room, golf carts to get around easily, prompt room service etc. Water pressure in the bathroom was great.

Getting to other parts of the Elephantine island isn't straightforward from the resort. You'd need to take the ferry to the mainland and then get back to the island using a different ferry or boat i.e. two trips across the river to reach .5 km walking distance. Plan ahead to get private ferries or allow enough time for reach other parts of the island.

Beautiful massive property located on Elephantine island in the Nile river! The views of the Nile are unmatchably beautiful. There is no need to take a Nile cruise or a felucca ride, if you stay at this property. The sunset views are visible from the rooms. The mountains & street visible on the other side are brilliantly lit at night. Large continental & Egyptian breakfast spread. The rooms have an AC/heater which allows us to control the temperature making the room super comfotrable.

The property is located on an island, which means you need a ferry to go to the mainland. However, this is not an issue since the hotel has its own ferry every few mins, travelling to & from the island and mainland. The Egyptian food at the restaurant is really good. The service though was a bit slow.

My partner injured himself on the glass doors - they have no decals on them and are very hard to see. While that is a massive issue that needs to be resolved for other guests -- the staff support as he was injured was amazing. They took care of him while he was injured. They called a hotel doctor and had someone stationed outside our room specifically to check on him all night and ensure the doctor came. I was so impressed with the staff and the service. Truly five-star.

The restaurants are very overpriced for Egypt, they charge you western prices while the rest of the country and trip were so cheap. We stayed at five-star hotels in Cairo and Luxor, they were surprisingly significantly cheaper than this hotel in Aswan.

Lovely location . Very clean and not crowded. Panorama restaurant was amazing and a lovely birthday cake for me . Staff were very attentive. Room was spacious and comfortable if a little dated .

Disappointed that the main pool was out of action due to a refurb ( though no work going on so not sure if this will be a long term thing ) and the other pool was out of action for weddings on two of the four nights we stayed . Music was also very loud and quite intrusive from the parties. It’s expensive. Proper 5 star prices whereas I would stay facilities are not quite up to 5 star standard .

This is not our first time there and we've been going since 2016. The resort always exceeds our expectations. This time there was a big surprise for us: we were upgraded to a fantastic family villa! This was a stunning and delightful surprise that was appreciated greatly by the whole family. Actually, the rooms and the villa are beautifully designed and very comfortable. The food is awesome. The unique views on Aswan's Nile are superb. The most efficient and bright element is the human element. The staff is very well trained, professional and helpful. Love from our family to yours!

We got an upgrade to a fabulous room. The decor was very inviting and all amenities were provided. We even had a plug converter on loan from the front desk. Staff were very helpful and efficient. They seemed all very cheerful The hotel is very beuatiful and the space relaxing and romantic. Note to travellers- it is very hot and the temperatures don't cool down until after sunset. The view and location in the Nile was a wonderful experience for us. Sustainability seems to be a good focal point for this hotel, which is good.

Electricity was cutting out and the lighting in the room was not very good overall. Food at the restaurant was not as fabulous as other hotels we stayed at in Egypt.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful part of Aswan. Our room overlooked the Tomb of the nobles. The was spectacular. The best part of our stay was the extra care we received from Farouk, the hotel’s manager. He accommodated us with an early check in which made our stay nicer. The restaurants are very lovely too.
